FOR SOME it was an easy decision to get up extremely early Friday morning 

to watch the Royal Wedding.

I decided to sleep through it with my head uncovered...no hat.

LATER I WILL definitely watch videos, 

look at pictures and down the road 

I'll look at some beautiful books of this Historical event.

POSSIBLY purchase one.

Kate has made for a LOVELY BRIDE 

and William a HANDSOME GROOM.

There will be miniature dolls made and sold.

Stories told.

Movies made.

Games created.

Jewelry designed.

Designer dresses made.

Books written.

Pictures printed.

Fragrances imitated.

Cakes reproduced.

Tales told.

Wishing them well.

Refreshing Time Of Year

My HEART ached a tad bit on Easter.
I didn't attend Easter Services at church and would have liked to.
Wrestling with a cough that has aggravated my asthma.  After a week of this coughing and not resting well, my strength is starting to weaken.  Shall Easter be in my heart everyday?  Yessssss.  I must celebrate!  


We worshipped at Home with scriptural reading, Easter meal, NAP and Easter Egg Hunt on our front lawn.  I am blessed to have my Home, Husband and Family.  Though I delight in my Children and Grandchildren...my Husband is a PRIORITY and  one of the most important earthly relationship I have on the planet!  He is my soul-mate.  So being with him this easter means a great deal to me.  Hugs.


This Resurrection Sunday was spent at home with the weather at a chilly 60 degrees.  As I watched lil Miss hunt eggs with delight...i wished that all the GRANDS had been hunting eggs on our lawn.  Easter is a sweet time to me.  I hope to be able to see all the GRANDS hunt eggs in the future.


As I grow older, JESUS means more and more to my aging self.  He is Mr. WONDERFUL and truly what Easter is about.  The RISEN LORD!  How magnificent is that?  MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!

As a child I remember decorating Easter eggs, hiding them, waking to Easter candy on a paper plate that was hidden for me to find, new clothes to go to Church in, attending Easter Services and eating a pleasant Easter meal at Home with Family!


Sweet sweet memories.


There was one Easter I was bed ridden and couldn't travel far distances in the car.  I was 6 years old and stayed with another family while my family went to Marion for Easter week-end.  I woke to a Easter Surprise Basket that had delicious candy and new light blue sleeping pajamas.  This clothing article is a keepsake item I have tucked away.  How can a piece of clothing mean so much to a person?  I can still take this item out and look at it.  With sweet memories.  When I'm dead and gone, this article of clothing will mean nothing to anyone else.  Just a little blue outfit worn with time.


BUT the article of grave clothing that Jesus wore means something to a multitude of people without us even seeing it.  Jesus' grave clothing didn't go with HIM after HE rose from the grave.  HIS grave clothing were left behind neatly folded.  HE rose from the dead.  Hallelujah...HE is ALIVE.  He doesn't need grave clothing.  We can rejoice.


The sweet family that I stayed with were very kind to me.  A mom and dad with 3 children...2 girls and a son.  A few years later the oldest daughter would perish in an auto wreck.  She lived a short life.  How sad for this family.  I don't know where this family is today, but I remember their kindness after all these years. 


When celebrating Easter with the resurrection message that Jesus rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of God in Heaven, there is the hope of life after death.  Jesus isn't dead, but very much alive and praying for you.  Praying.  I love the LORD and the more I learn about HIM the more I am blessed to be a child of God.  


Easter is such a sweet time of year.  Sweet.  Full of new beginnings, new thoughts, new dreams, hope.  A freshness.  SPRING.  A newness, a refreshing time.

Easter Bunnies are a sign of Spring 

and many new beginnings.

I like Bunnies.

I love who created them more!

This Easter Sunday we will be thinking on the resurrection of Christ.

Jesus is alive and is the LIVING God.  

When HE is our personal Savior...Through HIM we can have eternal life, 

life more abundantly and can understand the things of GOD.


We can enter into God's Throne Room 
and visit with God about our concerns 
and pray...asking for answers.  He will listen.  We don't have to be shy.
It's because of Jesus that we can be a child of God that is in rightful standing with Him.

I believe I will take a few days off from Blogging 

and think on the things of God.

Today I'm Ill

Determined to do some yard work on the week-end.  So I did.  I already had a sore throat.  Thought it was due to the smoke coming from the burning of the Prairies.  For weeks now, the prairies have been lit to burn.  It's a yearly ritual that I seem to forget about until I smell the March burnings.

All will be finished in May.  Just a few more days till May.  Still I cannot leave my house windows open to let in fresh Spring air while the camp fire smell whips about.

By Monday night I was really sick.  The sore throat was gone and replaced with a stuffed up nose, watery eyes, sneezing and coughing.  All this turned into a horrible cough that racked my entire body.

I couldn't baby sit Tuesday or Wednesday.  Was sleeping off and on throughout this time.  The sweats and chills, then nausea.....not fun.

My Husband has taken care of me.  He brings me cold medicines when needed and pain reliever.  Fixes meals and brings me beverages to sip on when I can.  This is a real MAN.

The sweetness of marriage comes through when the husband is committed to nurse his sick wife.

I know that there is alot of hype over the Royal Wedding that will take place in a few days.  Kate is such a pretty young thang.  She will truly look beautiful in her wedding gown.  Very pretty with lots of photos to see later.  BUT it saddens me to think that Kate and William have lived together out of wedlock for about 4 years.  There doesn't seem to be any shame in their lives or respect for God's counsel.  Do we love our sex lives more than we love God?

Already this couple like thousands of others see no shame in shacking up together without being married.  Already they have thumbed their noses at God's counsel about it being wrong to live together while not being married.  If adultery enters the picture after marriage will it not break one of their hearts that it happened...perhaps children will be in the marriage at the time.  Will the children be affected by adultery?  More than likely.  God says adultery is wrong as well.  God knows best.

To have a covenant relationship as husband and wife is more than a physical thing.  It's spiritual as well. You're no longer two, but have become one flesh.

For richer or poorer, in sickness and in health.....a beautiful commitment when things get difficult.  When the goin' gets tough.  No body else in the universe has your place with your spouse than you.

Flint Hills Quilts Made On The Kansas Prairie

Wamego, Kansas has a Tulip Festival in late April.

This year I made it to their beautiful Quilt Display in an actual house 

by their City Park.

The Quilts on display were in every room.

All the color and patterns were appreciated.  So admired.  So much time, talent and skill.

One of the Quilts said Welcome Home Soldier.

The Ladies said that this quilt was made by a woman for her son, Nathan who had returned from Iraq.  

He just so happened to be there with his two boys.  He let me snap a picture of them.

Our Soldiers are American Heros.
