SUNDAY. Puttzin' about the COTTAGE this SUNDAY. Little energy to use so I decided to sit and work on medical records. SIT. When I go into the medical archives to gather information after a while, it makes my eyes cross. TIRED. When I get tired, my mind gets a little confused and dates get twisted making it a challenge to gather info quickly.
No big deal...just take a breather then return to the archives after a break. I'm working on recording my recorded weights. The earliest date I have is JUNE 2013. If I had had more insight into the medical monopoly I would have kept a written list of my weight through the years. I would have printed out info all along keeping my own account of medical visits where I was WEIGHED, but I didn't have a clue that I would be so interested in my WEIGHT WARS as I grew heavier and older.
I'd encourage all to keep accurate records on simple things like weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, TSH, etc. through the years. A short description of why there was a visit in the first place, diagnoses and record the list of medicines one is on at the time, prescribed and why. When thinking that the doctors will have the records for you when needed, I didn't know that the records are eliminated after 10 years or so. Sometimes the docs keep the records under HARD COPIES, but getting into the file archives requires manpower that they may not want to use.
Tis BEST to keep ongoing records for your personal use and personal records at all times.
As of now I will make a chart and record weights in a journal. I think the easiest way would be to simply write the weights down in a spiral notebook just for weight. If I google docs a journal then I have to have a computer to work on it when recalling. Google docs would be neater, but require more effort. A computer, a charged up computer needed where as a notebook just requires picking up a notebook and flipping to the page to read the latest entry.
Keeping track of where the notebook is will need to be taken into consideration. grins.
Well, anyhow...I spent a few hours going through old medical visits to get the recorded weights from three doctors. There's more out there. As time passes I will print out entire summaries of previous visits for my personal records.
