As I sit and think about Winter plans, I'm sweating.
Have been going up and down my stairs and tweaking this and that. Doing laundry, folding laundry......cooling off.
Yesterday, I walked 100 steps on the stairs for exercise. Monday through Friday I hope to do this. I have started. That's a start to my 2013 exercise program.
I've given this a great deal of thought and have made peace about down sizing. The Bible tells us to write our plans down and then go with it. Writing. This will be an ongoing action that will take time to carry out. A process.
Still going through old clothing and got the courage to turn loose of most of it. I have a few pieces that are sentimental and will be keeping, but so many of the dresses do not fit any longer and they are sooooo out of style, you'd cry. BOO HOO.
Am switching out items from one closet to another. An opportunity to look items over. Will let go of most of this. Freedom.
Some people have absolutely no problem tossing clothing out. I'm getting better at it, but have had to work at it. Lack of Faith on my part to be set free. I'm the size I am and if I shrink....it'll be a privilege to go shopping and/or make new clothing to fit the lil me. If this happens...it's a mystery.
When the shelves are built down in the cellar, I will group my Seasonal decorations and boxed dishes. It will be Summer when this takes place. I will have the courage then to thin through collected Christmas decorations, Holiday STUFF and boxed dishes. A elected time to decide what to turn loose of.
I thought if I had a Christmas in July Party where I invited the neighbors and friends to come for refreshments and leave with a choice item that they wanted, would be fun. Then what ever was left....goes straight to the Thrift Shops.
Here in a minute, I will be bundling my Christmas Cards and making sure that the date is on each one before I put them away. I save my cards. Have since I was 6 years old. Some friends of ours set a Christmas card out on their table and pray for the ones that sent the card to them through out the week. Each week a card is switched out.....I LOVE THIS IDEA. Want to do this. After they pray for the person, they send them a little note sharing with them that they had prayed for them. I LOVE THIS and APPRECIATE THIS.
Today, I made a list of things that I hope we can get finished on our Old Stone House. It can be over whelming if I think about it too much.
Lil Miss's Bedroom walls will be primed next week. Bought the paint!
After her room is painted, our Master Bedroom Ceiling will be textured and painted. Have decided to put crown molding up in room. Will paint this and go onto preparing the walls to be painted. New bedding and curtains will happen.
THEN
SUDDENLY
the Dining room will begin morphing into a staging area and the KITCHEN will start transforming into a new KITCHEN.
The plans are drawn, some of the items already purchased and waiting for attention. And this long awaited procedure will HAPPEN. Can you keep a happy expression on your face during remodeling activity? My face has been frozen with a plastered smile for so long that I cannot stop smiling. There are creases. Grins. That saying, "FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!" Does not work.
I have my hopes that by EASTER, I will be baking a Easter Meal in the completed KITCHEN.
OH HAPPY DAY.
The dinger just went off on the clothes dryer and the washing machine. Better go get that taken care of.
I need one of those STEP STOOLS. Everything else would be HANDY. That would be answered prayer.
When the first signs of Spring begin to show, I will do the Happy Dance.
