CHRISTMAS DECORATING ON THE BRAIN AND A SHAMPOO BY A STYLIST

Faux greenery to enjoy decorating with.

MONDAY MORNING CAME EARLY.  Up around 7 and ready for a busy day.  It was 25 degrees out.  Birdy Brrrr.  Not ready for this.  No way no how.  Had to change my plans about walking early in the morning as it's too cold for my lungs.

Hair appointment this morning over in a different community so I have a drive to make.  Got an awesome shampoo and went with curly style this time.  BeAcH WAVE.  Okay with it.  I just wished the Stylist had a magic wand in her drawer to wave over me to take off a hundred pounds of flesh.  Then I would go to the beach to lay in the sand getting some sunshine.  No such luck.

It was up lifting to have my hair shampooed by her as she did a super job and massages the neck as she goes.  Magic fingers.  I left with a fresh outlook on the day.  I'll have her trim my hair soon.

Picked up my meds at the pharmacy then went to the Post Office. Tried to mail a small package, but the PO's doors were locked and the lights were out.  Closed due to it being their lunch hour at 11:30.  SHUCKS.  Will try again later at a different location.

I got into a lot of Kansas wind today so I am wind blown here, but most of my hair is still attached.  grins.

Went past our old house and I believe I will get over not living there.  It'll happen.  Then onto Manhattan to MENARDS to get Hubby a couple of tool boxes for organizing his garage.  Paper towels, bottled spring water, more baby wipes from Israel as well.

Checked out and headed over to a friend's house to pick up a package of HERITAGE ORGANIC WHOLE WHEAT SUNRISE FLOUR.  Going to try this flour and see if I likes it or not.  Finally a STARBUCK's treat of unsweetened iced green tea.  My favorite.  Decided to head HOME before I tired out.  Once I got into our community, I stopped by the Post Office to mail my Granddaughter's Christmas ornament to her.  That takes care of the Grands that are young enough to receive one from us.  This one is for FIRST YEAR OF MARRIAGE since she wed last September.  I hope she likes it.

FULL DAY OUT AND ABOUT FOR ME.  I need some small yellow envelopes and will go to Dollar General tomorrow for these as I needed to go home and rest after my outing.

Thanking God for peace in our country.  Giving THANKS for the reality of HIM.  Such a magnificent gift from HIM knowing HIM personally.  Have you ever felt HIS presence before? There was a time I did not know what that felt like.  I don't sense HIS presence all the time, but have on several occasions and it made me a different person.  Money cannot buy it.  A pill cannot encourage it.  A song cannot imitate it.  So how do you achieve it?  GOD must be acknowledged as Almighty God and one must truly believe HE is who HE says HE is with Jesus being is HIS only begotten SON and believing Jesus is who He says He is.  By being born again through Jesus.

HIS truth will set you free. It begins.  Jesus is the son of God who took the sins of the world upon HIM and died on the cross for mankind's sins so that we may have life and life more abundantly making a way to having a rightful relationship with God because we are born a new having the spirit of God now inside of us.  Truly believing and receiving Jesus as our personal savior, we are born again.  We are regenerated.  Our spirit man is regenerated.  Being born again through Jesus makes us a new creature in CHRIST.  We are no longer a heathen or pagan, but a child of GOD.  A child.  We become an heir.  An heir.

For God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, Jesus, that whosoever believes in HIM shall not perish, but have everlasting LIFE.  For God sent his Son into the world not to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  SAVED.

The way to GOD is through Jesus being our personal savior.  God's way to God is through Jesus.  God's way to HIM is not through a religion, but through a relationship with CHRIST JESUS as our savior.  No incense needed.  No money needed.  No membership to a club needed.  No appointment needed.

Jesus is who HE says HE is.  The lamb of GOD.  HE is my savior.  Without HIM, I am nothing but a heathen.  A pagan.  With HIM, I have a rightful relationship with the Father God.  With HIM, I am born a new with a spiritual birth filled with the HIS HOLY SPIRIT where I can understand the things of GOD.  Holy Spirit becomes my teacher.  I am adopted into the family of GOD.  I have purpose, abundance and eternal life.  EVERLASTING life that will not wear out or need replaced.  God puts everything into perspective.  Ones eyes will be opened.

Studying HIS word and meditating on it is nourishment.  AMEN.

AS I SLOWLY DROVE HOME, I thought maybe this year we'll get a live Christmas tree from the St. Marys tree lot.  Then maybe after Christmas we can hit a 50% off faux tree sale and save some money on a narrower faux tree.  Maybe.  I just want to decorate really simple this year with twinkle lights, velvet bows and jingle bells.  We're not ready to sit up the tree just yet as the TV room isn't ready for the big change factor where the bay window is opened up in the Living room so there's room for a Christmas tree.  Until we are, I'll be imagining how to decorate the front porch.  The NATIVITY SCENE can be sat out.  Wreaths can be hung on the front door.

Hubby stayed HOME to work on the cellar and installed a new door bell while I was gone. Looks great and period appropriate for the COTTAGE.  ding dong.

He is a handy man to have around.

He had brought up two oversized tubs of the Christmas Sprigs and some garland.  Figuring out where these will go.

Want one garland above the Bathroom mirror.

Some sprigs above the Living room mirror and the large HOME SWEET HOME picture above the sofa.

Maybe some garland above the Living room's lace curtain rods. A spring rod covered with garland will go the doorway trim between the Living room and Dining room.

If I can find a smaller wreath to hang on the bedroom door, I will do that.  Wreaths hung on the two porch doors.  Nativity scene on the antique walnut chest in the living room.  Lots of greenery and white candles.  Some garland around the dining room chandy.  I'm ready to put the AUTUMN decorations away.  Bye bye.

NAP TIME is creeping upon me.  I'll need to push the feeling aside and do something else.  Went through the mail and it made me tired.

TURKEY.  I fixed a turkey on Sunday.  I tried a NEW way of fixing it and liked how it turned out.  It smelt so good in the house when I was baking it.  The aroma was intoxicating.  SUPPER will be turkey slices, dressing, mashed potatoes with gravy cranberries, and corn.  Water to sip.  An early THANKSGIVING meal.

THURSDAY IS THANKSGIVING DAY.  Not to be overlooking the HOLIDAY, but I am sneaking in some CHRISTMAS decorating and getting giddy about it.  Bring out the Christmas music and be blessed.

Are you ready for Christmas?  I am everyday because Jesus is my LORD.  Amen.

Love to you,
~d 🎄

FLY RIGHT ON BY

HAIR STYLIST DID A GOOD JOB ON MY HAIR.  Walked away very pleased. She trimmed the bottom and added some gentle layers in the back.  Love it and will have to see if I can mimic the style on my own with a barrel curler.  Can this old woman make her hair look like it should?  Not sure, but I need to at least try.

HOMECOMING is tonight.  I want to go watch the crowning ceremony as my grandson is a candidate.  The football players all look so handsome in their uniforms.  The young ladies dazzle brightly when dressed up.  Lovely to see.

Hubby is painting away.  He fixed some cracks in the pavement and is painting the Kitchen porch floor.  He is working so hard to get the house ready to market.  I'm back at gathering things up to haul out of here.

My piles of paper were looking good when I accidentally knocked the glass of tea I had on the floor because the place it was sitting on a table had so much condensation that I was concerned it would ruin the wood table it was on.  Welp, when the tea tipped over all the tea spilled out onto the rugs.  I knew I have to left the rugs up to wipe up the tea or it would do harm to the wood floor.

What a mess I had.  Hubby was my hero as he helped roll up the two rugs the tea soaked. Underneath the rugs, the wood floor was saved.  Left the rugs rolled up so they could dry.  The padding underneath the rugs soaked the tea up like a sponge.  We've had these rugs on the new wood floor for over 6 1/2 years and never had a accident!  Why now when we are getting things ready to sell?

We were fortunate and I think the two recliners we have left in the Living room will be moved to the other side of the Living room while we finish up with the house.

These are the only two pieces of furniture besides the little end table and the computer printer table that are left in the room.  Tis time to go.

I'll gather up the piles of paper and haul them to the COTTAGE this afternoon.  Have to make progress.  The bookshelves are VACANT!  They are bare.  Sitting in an almost empty house can be done and we're doing it a little each day.  The week-end is approaching.  I hope to have the main floor rooms empty.  Upstairs is bare.

I know that I have had way too much furniture in the rooms.  I have been bad about that. Moving into the COTTAGE will dictate less furniture.  Less everything.  I have to be alright with this. This stage of LIFE is a blessing and a challenge at the same time.  Time to go and be alright with it.  Amen and amen.

I am not who I am because of furniture or a large house.  It is not my true identity, but shows signs of what I have liked having about me.  No lie, I like houses and furniture.  I like decorating. I will continue to decorate no matter where I hang my hat.

I have truly enjoyed living in a 1883 and a 1885 houses.  They have a lot of character.  Still, I have to move on.  The COTTAGE is a 1900 Folk Victorian COTTAGE and I have a ton of ideas roaming about in my head as to how we will decorate and make this place our new HOME.  A different adventure.  Dear LORD, thank you for this opportunity.  Shall see how it goes.

The week-end is here and so the month of OCTOBER starts on Sunday.  Autumn is present.  The days pass so quickly anymore.  I am sure that October will fly right on by.

I CAN LET MY HAIR DOWN

SIPPING HOT MATCHA TEA while sitting in my grey recliner.  I let my hair down this morning as I got dressed for the day and just left it down.  My Mickey Mouse t-shirt is keeping me comfortable as I didn't want a long sleeved blouse to wear.  It seems a tad bit warm as I was working at putting AUTUMN DECORATIONS away.  I'll see how far I get today as I am so tired I hurt.  CHRISTMAS isn't far behind.

Last night I caught a glimpse of someone else's decorating on the internet.  Oh so simple and oh so lovely.  Made my heart sing.  Handmade clay ornaments, large wooden beads and some twinkle lights.  I think I'm coming around to decorating in a simpler theme.

It spoke to me as I change my decorating style while SLOWLY MORPHING into a different creature remaking my environment.  Morghing into a 2023 woman instead of a 2000 one.  It's alright to change!  This is my HOPE.

I have personally seen how easy it is to wear the SAME hairstyle for 40 years.  Get into a rut with what I wear.  No sprucing up on make-up and what I have sitting around in my space.  I believe it is for the best to DOWNSIZE and change what direction I am moving as a elderly woman. Shazaam...I am here.  How'd that happen so quickly?  One day at a time.  Last I knew I was young, physically fit and able to move quickly.  Now, on somedays I shuffle and can't wait to sit down to catch my breath.  Not good.

The green garland awaits me as I have a little more to do with putting the AUTUMN decor away. I did buy some lovely white ribbon yesterday when at JOANN that I will simply tie the garland to the stair rail with.

Maybe I can get my wreath pieces placed on the table to put together this afternoon.

Mom headed out this morning.  She is determined to make the trip HOME on her own.  At CHRISTMAS, if she comes again, I'll go get her and drive her car to our HOME.  I had offered and she said no.  It's a concern to me that she is traveling alone at 90 and half years of age.  She still does pretty well though.  She was able to go up and down the stairs with some help at first then her confidence grew and she was doing this on her own.  THANKING GOD there were no falls or mishaps.

Grey skies this morning where the wind will blow as the temps take a dip.  No snow, ice or sleet yet.  I think my plans for CHRISTMAS have kicked in as the month of November is wrapping up.

Tis TUESDAY and we are making plans of getting the treadmill out of the COTTAGE and relocated to the newly remodeled shed.  GOAL of the week is to get it moved out there. HUBBY will need a break after all of this as he has been a blowin and a goin remodeling the shed.  PRAISE THE LORD!  Tis done.

The Muscle Racks are beginning to appear.  Decor to soon follow and I can mark this off of my TO-DO LIST as we morph along downsizing and making the COTTAGE and GARAGE useable.

A clean environment for storage!  Ready to store.  More racks will be moved in this week.

SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR and grateful.  So much.  The COTTAGE is so small compared to where we are living.  Much thought has gone into what to keep and what to let go or store for awhile in a storage unit.  As the pieces fall together, I am in prayer for guidance and direction as to how to make this all come together.  One thought at a time.

I'll be wrapping up and boxing items from every room.

We will have a streamlined house at CHRISTMAS.  THEN the streamlined items will be made to relocate to the COTTAGE.

We will continue remodeling the inside of the COTTAGE until Spring and then see where we are at.

This downsizing is a work-out.

Speaking of long hair, these seven sisters had some.

The Seven Sutherland Sisters sang and eventually performed for the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Sutherland_Sisters

With working toward losing weight and downing our belongings, remodeling and packing...my plate is FULL.  I can let my hair down and give GOD thanks for HIS guidance.  Reading the Bible is going to enter the picture.  I will read a little each day like dining on a feast where I am contented to be.

I found out today that one of my younger cousins had two strokes this past summer and is in horrible shape.  Paralyzed, not able to speak or swallow.  Terrible.  Life is short while here on earth.  What really matters?  Walking uprightly before the LORD, living right and taking care of our health ALL matters.  Eating foods like what GOD planned for us to, is a MUST.  So many additives along the way hurts us.  Also long term use of certain medications can hurt us.  Long term use of certain meds can injure us.  HEAVY alcohol consumption, gambling, smoking are harmful.  Being unfaithful, lying, cheating, stealing, not paying our bills, over eating, eating the wrong foods, not resting properly all contribute to bad health.

I have to continue reading up on foods that are the BEST for human consumption and eat these.

I have to retrain myself to do things differently and enjoy the change!  That means I can relax and let my hair down as I morph right along into a healthier woman.  Excess weight has got to come off my bones.  Nutritious foods and beverages must enter my body to help nourish it.  To God be the glory great things HE hath done.

Onto getting CHRISTMAS decorating out of storage and displayed.

NOT A GOOD RECIPE

NOT SLEEPING WELL LAST NIGHT AFFECTED MY OLE SELF in a very negative way.  I can't hardly get through the day when this happens and if I take a nap too late in the evening then I have trouble shutting down at bedtime.  Not a good recipe.

Think my mind has been racing and I'm not shutting down so I prayed most of the night.  I drifted off to sleep around 6 in the morning and slept till 9:30.  I could have slept more hours, but had a hair appointment at 11 in a different town that I'd have to drive to.

I arrived just in time for the hair appointment.  A new stylist for me in a new studio in a new town.  It's not the first time I have had a new stylist that I know nothing about.  I liked her and booked an appointment for in a month for a trim.  This time I got a shampoo and a blow out.

Now for overkill on pictures.  I don't take great selfies, but tried.

My hair has significantly thinned out.  Seems like each time I comb it and shampoo it I lose so much it's scary.  Has been doing this for years.  Checking into vitamins about this.  My thyroid meds may be off and that can cause hair to fall out as well.

Hubby and I had a day time DATE and ate at LONGHORN Restaurant.  I ate some bread with butter, a salad and a sweet potato.  Water for beverage.  All so very good and we had a nice conversation over LUNCH.  We had some serious errands to run.  I knew that the day would be busy and at the end of it I would be tired.  My evening will be spent resting.

We went to Dillons to pay our Natural Gas bill and while there did some vegetable shopping.  Radishes, baby cucumbers, English cucumbers, red and orange Bell peppers, orange cherry tomatoes, a heirloom tomato, beets, lettuce, spinach, squash...can't remember what else.  While at the grocery store, I used their blood pressure and weight machine.  I did the weight thing wrong, but boy was I excited about what it said my weight was.  Hubby did his and it was 12 pounds off.  I did my again and I was alright about being off 12 pounds.  Seriously, if I can get so excited about the lower weight then I seriously need to get the weight off of me.  Seriously.  I don't like being FAT.  If I am going to lose weight than I have got to WORK AT IT.  If I want something then I have to make it happen and know that it's not going to happen on its own.

Off to Hobby Lobby to get a few supplies.  Staples for shredder oil to keep the paper shredder working.  Aldi's and then Menards.

It was while we were at Menards that I came across an UNADVERTISED SPECIAL on some glazed ceramic tile made in India that I thought would be beautiful in the COTTAGE BATHROOM around the tub.  At $8.90 a box with ten tiles, it was a heck of a great buy.  I had the money and we were pleased with the purchase.  Each tile has a variety of grays and white.  Staying in the grays and whites for the Bathroom.

MSI's Ceravi Blayton 12 in. x 12 in. Floor and Wall Tile offers a beautiful natural travertine look in an affordable, durable, and virtually maintenance-free ceramic. Gorgeous go-with-anything light gray hues and tonal veins lend timeless elegance to be enjoyed for years to come. With its classic looks and lovely matte finish, this stylish square tile works with nearly any decorative scheme. Use Ceravi Blayton on floors, walls, countertops, backsplashes, and other design features throughout homes and commercial properties and welcome the compliments.

Loaded up ten boxes.  Drove HOME and put the vegetables away.  I am now tired.  Having vegetables for SUPPER.  Red and Green Bell Peppers and Onions.  Deliberately not eating bread, meat, dairy or fruit for Supper since I had a large LUNCH with bread and butter, baked sweet potato, strawberry salad with grapes, mandarin oranges and raspberry vinaigrette.

If I have a large LUNCH then my SUPPER needs to be a low cal meal or if my LUNCH is low cal then I can have a larger SUPPER.

All the talk about INTERMITTENT FASTING I can not ignore.  Then I heard about the OMAD diet.  This one I do not believe I can do.  One Meal A Day.  The meal can be huge, but think it might not be right for me.

Back to eating more vegetables and fruit.

Coming along on the paperwork....so wish it were all completely done.  I have to pace myself and know that this is a marathon and not a sprint.

Think I had best watch a movie, sip on some iced tea and rest.  Tomorrow is another day and I hope it is a good one.

Scripture draw today is:
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
-Psalm 14:3

Prayer:  Thank you, Lord that I have my brothers and sisters in Christ who offer a consoling word when the tears fall.

That just about sums it up,

FRIDAY

FRIDAY IS HERE AGAIN.  Pizza tonight and watching a movie we had in the closet that I forgot about.  I came across it as I continued cleaning out the closet to make room for the upstairs coats and jackets.  Still on this task.  Kosher Pizza crust.  This is a first for me.  It will be interesting how it bakes up and taste.

Boxes and baskets of pictures have been stored in this closet.  As I make room for other things in the upstairs closet, the coats/jackets are being relocated to the main floor closet.  The pictures are being gone through and relocated to the Victorian Secretary.  The drawers are filling up quickly so I will probably have to store some in the closet anyways.  Just won't have as many boxes stacked in there.  I will get a few more plastic sweater boxes instead of using old cardboard ones to store the loose pics in.  I've made huge progress even with going down memory lane while going through the pics.

I went down memory lane last night and all day today.  It was fun to remember, but also sentimental.  I have some pics I will copy and share with my children.  It's time to share pictures with them since they are all in their forties.  I won't overwhelm them, but will make up boxes to give them over the next few years.

Not sure when this will all take place as I have my hands full with other projects.  I had already divided their school pictures placing them in yellow envelopes.  If I had done this as they were growing up it would have helped with organizing.  In the meantime, it was entertaining and enjoyable to see all the snapshots.  Vacations we took, birthday parties, graduations, weddings, grandchildren births, decorating and demolition projects over the years.  Places we have lived and visited.  Family members we have visited with and others we never met.  A great journey down memory lane.

I want to know what I have and know where in this house things are.  It boggles my mind that we have been in this house nearly 4 years.  Staying busy everyday on getting organized is in order.

When I think about SPRING I smile.  Take in a deep breathe and smile.  SPRING 2021.  May you be a blessed one.

HUBBY went to the barber shop today to get a short haircut.  It's been over a year since he has gone due to covid.  He came back with a handsome cut and a message about the barber receiving his covid vaccine.  As they were talking a very young, healthy strap of a man came in and shared that about 4 months ago he had covid and thought he was going to die.  He had never had a respiratory disease and he thought he was going to die.  Just now feeling like himself.  Hubs found out where we can get vaccinated so we decided to go ahead and get vaccinated.  We're on the list.  I have had some doubts about the vaccine.

I'd like to go to the stylist and have her shampoo my hair then blow dry it or as some say get a blow out.  It's been a year for me since I went to have my hair done.  A year.  That just makes me shutter.

Plans for the week-end...Think I'll finish the relocation of pictures and coats.  Buzz over to the dollar store for a few more storage boxes and candy for Easter.  Do some laundry.  Rearrange the cabinet that stores grooming supplies.  Run the vacuum in the Dining room and living room. Dust.  Put together some Easter baskets for my grands and children.  If I get all this done, it will be a productive week-end for me.

Blessings.

HOME LIFE is for me,

🏡d

TRYING TO HAVE CURLS AGAIN

ONE OF THE ADVANTAGES OF BEING HOME WITH THE INTERNET is the ability to watch educational videos on youtube at two in the morning.  Pin curling my hair took a twist when I switched from old fashion hair pins to clips.

I'm not quite there yet.  Shampooing my hair took place and with my hair wet I swirled it and pinned in place with clips.  My hair did not turn out as glamorous as these other beauties on here, but I did have some more curl minus using mouse and NO make-up.

Will have to give it another attempt.

OH HAVE MERCY as the self help videos are in abundance.  ABUNDANCE.  Take your pick.  I was researching how to get rid of under the eye bags.  Every thing from hemorrhoid cream to tea bags.  Nutrition to sleep.  Drinking water to distressing.

The videos are almost like chatting with an old friend.  On call 24/7.

Hey girlfriend, how ya doin'?

Let The Fresh Air In

THANKFUL FOR THE FRESH AIR and the sound of chirping birds drifting into the house making this place more peaceful and relaxed.  The birds are singing gentle melodies that satisfy my soul.  So comforting.  It's a very soothing gentle sound.  Where I sit in the living room I can see outside through the French doors.  A nice place to be.

Grey skies moved in as we had a gentle SPRING RAIN to water nature.  Some of our Irises have bloomed.  More to follow.  I am looking forward to the blooms.  Makes me smile and my heart sing.  Glorious time of year.   Weeds need pulled from the flowerbeds.  I think if we were to do the weed pulling in March, we'd be ahead of the April growth.  This past March was interrupted by the sheltering at HOME and to be truthful, I did not want to go outside very badly.  So the weeds grew and I stayed inside.  There's HOPE and the weeds will be pulled one at a time.

TUESDAY NEWSPAPER awaits me in the mail.  There will be little news.  Most of my information is coming from the internet.  A few new magazines need me to thumb through them and ooh and awe at how pretty someones garden is, or admire the beautiful tablescape.  Not to mention how delicious the recipe turned out.  How clever of so and so.  Handy tips and hacks for making life more affordable.

TODAY PLANS.  I trimmed my hair about an inch.  A dry cut since my hair is so curly.  Brushing my mop into a backwards ponytail hanging over my eyes, I rubber banded it at my forehead.  Took the pony tail and rubber banded again toward the tip.  Found my tiny scissors and snipped the end off about an inch.  Wallah.  She is trimmed.

I will continue to file receipts and do some book keeping.  One of these sweet days, I will be able to say the paperwork is finished.  Just not today.  More laundry to do.  The little wash machine that I hook up to the kitchen faucet is working out fine.  One little pile of laundry at a time.  Wash then rinse.  Stop.  Pause.  Allow the spin to run for only a minute.  Then stop and begin to hang articles on hanger to air dry.  After the machine is empty, I turn the spin back on to empty the machine.  If I let the machine do an entire cycle of spinning the articles come out of the machine way too wrinkled and I don't want to add ironing to my errands at the time.

Exercising is happening as I move more.  Deep breathing involved.  I need to increase the activity.  Still my feet hurt way too much to walk.  Doing what I can.  Eat a salad and drink some filtered water.  Keep moving.  Stay calm and keep moving.  Keep moving.

I can almost forget the pandemic.  Friday to come, I'll be reading that the cases have spiked in Minnesota, Michigan and Virgina as many communities begin to reopen their stores.  These three states were encouraged by our President to protest their democratic governors lock downs.  These are what are called SWING STATES and if there is a surge of coronavirus cases, then it will give way to our President saying these governors did not know what they were doing.  Which will encourage others to vote the governors out and vote republican.  I don't pay much attention to how politics works, but I figured this one out on my own.  In a week and a half, Kansas will have a spike and Colorado as well as they had rallies to protest the lock downs.  Kansas has a democratic governor.  Colorado?  A democrat as well.

My mind wonders.
All in a days work.

TAKING SOME TIME

SPRING IS COMING!!!

I woke early on my own without the alarm this morning.  This seldom happens.  It was alright because I needed to head over to Manhattan and get some lab work done.  No appointment needed.  First I went through the mail and bills, got cleaned up and drove to the lab before eating anything or taking my morning meds.  I like to fast beforehand when having blood work done.

Signing in at their kiosk is about as high tech as I want to go.  It doesn't talk back to me with all the lovely screens it shows to tap letters spelling out my name and birthdate.  Why are you here? That kind of thing.  I was the only one in the lobby before the technician called my name.

Which arm would I like to us?  Always the left one.  I didn't pass out.  Stayed calm and before I knew it she had drawn two vials.  Having my Vitamin D level checked along with TSH.  I will check the portal this evening and see if the reading are present.

After I walked to my car, I decided I would visit the neighborhood STARBUCKS for one of their PROTEIN BOXES with eggs and cheese.  Love these and I feel like I am treating myself to goodness.  The homegrown coffee in a traveling cup waited for me to sip.  Perfect and ready temp to go.

Deciding to have a shampoo and curl at the walk in salon in the Beauty Supply Store on Poyntz, I had my hair done.  The Stylist shampooed my hair with detoxing shampoo that takes all the build up, etc out of hair.  Conditioned and added some mousse for height.  Then came the Egyptian Product for sparing the hair from heat damage.

She dried it using a blow drier and a round brush.  Added something to my hair and curled the locks with a curling iron, pinning the curls to where it looked like the hair had rollers in it.

I'll have to try this at HOME.

Letting the hair cool a bit, she removed the clips that held the curls and let the hair dangle.  Gently combed and sprayed.  I walked out enjoying the style.  Liked the Stylist and the style.  Will go again.

NO MAKE-UP, BUT HEY THAT'S ALRIGHT MY HAIR IS CURLY.

Next I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to look at their king size pillow covers.  The ones I bought before were a Standard/Queen size and our pillows are too puffy to handle so going to the next size might work.  I used a 20% off discount coupon which are pretty standard and easy to get in magazines and emails.  I save a little and that helps.  These pillow covers were more expensive than I imagined.  Still I like using them because they do help protect the pillows from the night sweats which cause yellowish stains on the pillows that don't launder out.

HOME I went to show my retired HUBBY that I still have bounce in my hair do.  I'm not sure how long the do will stay so I have to enjoy every moment I have in the daylight before I lay my head to the pillow to sleep.

HUBBY pitched in helping clean the bathroom.  He made tremendous headway surprising me of what he had done while I had some time away from the HOUSE.  Tomorrow I will launder the bathroom rug and toilet seat cover, hang new shower curtains and bathe the window blinds.  After all returns to normal the Main Bathroom will have been DEEP CLEANED this FIRST week of MARCH!  Goal accomplished.

Tonight I would like to watch a good movie and stay in.  I love HOME.  Getting excited that SPRING is coming.  The countdown is 16 days away.  Praising my Savior all the day long.

SCRIPTURE READING:  PROVERBS 4:9.
She (wisdom) shall give thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Can I just say that I am so thankful to be a HOMEBODY allowed to be in my own HOME?
Yes, I am.

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED
As long as I live, I will have to continually submit to God's plan for my life. You will be blessed because you turned your life over to God. Be confessing how good God is and tell Him you agree with who He says He is. BELIEVE and watch miracles happen. Be not afraid. ~Deanna

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
