WOKE THIS MORNING TO Wintery SNOW FALLING TO THE GROUND!!! A beautiful sight to see on the first day of 2021.
For the rest of the day, I'll watch it snow from my chair while I type.
Happy to see it snowing. I wished for snow on CHRISTMAS and didn't get my wish. Today it found it's way to my corner of the world. Temps at 28 degrees while small flakes blow into the screened in porch. A wintery scene to behold.
Our CHRISTMAS TREE is lit up with lights for the day. All day, the tree will be bright. Tis quiet in the house thinking about what to do different today as it is the first day of 2021.
2021...We made it. 2020 is gone. All the drama didn't fade away. Still will take the day slow with much thought.
Slowly CHRISTMAS decorations are migrating back into storage boxes. As the next few days happen, I will wrap THE NATIVITY SCENE up and Hubby will place the boxes on the basement shelves.
Last night was a quiet night for us as well. It was just like I like it. Quiet. Simply nibbled on some red hots and peanuts, nuts with raisins, crackers and cheese, apple slices. Sipped Ice Tea no wine. I didn't feel like sipping wine for some reason. We watched an old Cowboy Western from 1957 starring Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn. Last Train From Gun Hill.
Have mercy. Didn't watch the BALL FALL in New York this year. Stayed up until midnight hearing some fireworks go off in the distance. Lights out. Drifted off into Lalaland talking to HUBby. When he doesn't have his hearing aids in, he cannot hear very well so we each held a portable phone and chatted to one another for a few minutes. grins.
