At a Sunday Night Christmas Pageant I was taken by surprise by over whelming emotions that flooded my soul when young children began to sing 'SILENT NIGHT'. Taken by complete surprise. Tears flowed.
It's not a sign of weakness to cry. I pity the soul who cannot cry. A hardened heart isn't healthy or desired. Crying too much for too long isn't good, but one should be able to cry when appropriate.
Seeing such innocence singing at the Pageant was precious to witness. With the freshness of the Connecticut Massacre in my mind, I wept. My heart aches about the killings that took place last Friday. Murder is horrible. The young children being killed made me weak in the knees and sick to my stomach. The adults that were murdered is just as awful. The mother of the killer died a horrible death as well....the killer comprehended that guns can kill. He took his own life. He comprehended something.
Perhaps the father of the killer will take his financial fortune and open a living facility with teaching centers for children with autism. Perhaps.
Will our government censor violent video games? I doubt it. With a clear conscious, don't purchase or even have these games in ones home. Don't allow people, especially young developing minds to be entertained and desensitized by hours of playing these video games. Don't allow ones children to associate with playing these games at friend's home or on the miniature computerized devices so easily attained.
I found it so odd that the media has not shared very much about what religious upbringing Adam Lanza had or what Nancy's religious affiliate was. Nothing about where a funeral will be held for Nancy or Adam. They attended a Catholic Church in the area. She was considered a nice, fun loving person with a generous heart that was raised in a wealthy family, married, had two sons and after her divorce from her ex-husband...was given a hefty alimony so she would not need to be employed. She lived in a beautiful Connecticut mansion with four bedrooms. Adam had two of the bedrooms for his comfort. One of the rooms was for his computer and the computer games that he played. He was known to be a troubled individual with anti-social behavior that comes from a mild form of autism known as asperger syndrome. Obviously other issues with Adam. Nancy was a gun enthusiast that believed teaching her son about guns would help him learn responsibility. She frequented a bar several nights a week.
Saddened by the massacre. Saddened that this happened.
As the children sang and shared a wonderful Christmas Program, I was thankful and glad that I was able to attend. I'm saddened that the families of the slayed victims do not have their loved ones. As awful as this all has been.......I think about the innocent ones murdered in their mother's womb during abortions. Millions are killed because the pregnancy wasn't planned or wasn't convenient to the one that is pregnant. The mind set that abortion is a great way to end a pregnancy because the mother isn't wanting to be pregnant is sad. The brunt of the abortions are not to save the mother's life. The innocent child is snuffed out before they have a chance to live in the world.
There are many that protest abortions, but so many do not. The push to end a baby's life is often viewed as a acceptable practice.
My 'ole heart is softening and I'm admiring the counsel of God. Do Not kill ( premeditated murder ). Honestly, it is alright to protect yourself from attacks from someone's violent behavior toward you and the innocent.
Stiffer action toward drunk drivers and drugged induced stoopers should be done. Actions that involves killing innocent people with their autos....Will the government deal harsher with these that kill with their cars?
We do live in a world that is fallen. Many do not want to admit that there are demonic influences and forces in this world. Was Adam influenced by demonic forces? Did he understand that murder is wrong?
