BIELER BROTH ON A TUESDAY

GOTTA TRY TO MAKE SOME BIELER BROTH TODAY.  I will give it a try. Have the veggies to make it.  Just need to do it.  Bieler Broth was Dr. Henry Bieler's creation that he shared in the 1960s.  Great results for those that ate this amongst other foods he promoted.

When I was helping my Mom a few months ago, one of the ladies that lived in the same apartment complex was moving into a nursing home in which she left items behind for others to take.  I took the book, FOOD IS YOUR BEST MEDICINE by Henry G. Bieler, M.D.

As I thumbed through it, one of the chapters in the book shared about an actress that had a grapefruit size fibroid tumor and sought out Dr. Bieler's medical advice after being told she needed a hysterectomy by a well-known Massachusetts General Hospital gynecologist.  Dr. Bieler advised her about this broth as well as a simple diet that included cooked cereals for breakfast, plain salads for lunch and cooked non-starchy vegetables for supper.

As busy as she was while on the road, she'd go ahead and eat this way.  Fixing the meals in a bathroom didn't stop her from faithfully dieting the Bieler way.  She was on the road filming movies and after two and a half years she noticed the mass in her abdomen was gone.  Since she was in the area of the one doctor that wanted to do a hysterectomy, she made an appointment to visit with him.  After examining her, he couldn't find the mass.  She told him what she had been eating and he laughed telling her that the fibroid tumor would have gone away on its own.  AND she said, yes it would have after being under the knife with him.  She was sold out that it was the Bieler Broth and diet she had been advised to do by Dr. Bieler.  No surgery needed.

I decided I would take this free book and read on.  I have been slow about trying the Bieler Broth. Today's the day I will fix some.  Wash the veggies, cook then puree in the blender.  Actually a veggie soup without the chemicals.  I believe I can eat like he suggest and will try it.

Cooked cereal for Breakfast.
Simple Salad for lunch.
Cooked non-starchy vegetables for supper.
Plus sipping some Bieler Broth for snacks.

I checked on the internet for the recipe and found several.  Dr. Bieler may have been called a quake by many, but his fame and broth are still around.  Sometimes one is ahead of the curve before the masses catch up.  I think this doc was one of them that encouraged eating a different way than the western diet which is full of processed foods which has way too much protein full of chemicals, preservatives, pesticides and GMO altered foods.

Adapted from Dr. Bieler's book, "Food is Your Best Medicine"

3 stalks of celery
3 whole zucchini
2 cups of string beans
1 cup of parsley

Dr. Bielers famous health broth recipe for energy, weight loss, and cleansing:

Put 1 cup of water into a stock pot.
Put the string beans in first and steam for about 5 minutes.
Then put celery and zucchini into the pot and steam for another 5 - 7 minutes or until tender, but still crisp.
Do not overcook.
When done put the water that the vegetables have cooked in into the blender. Follow with the vegetables.
Blend until liquefied.
Add a large handful of parsley.
Blend again until parsley is liquefied.

*Use organically grown vegetables whenever possible.

ON THE HOME FRONT:  SLEPT WELL.  I am having a slow start to this day.  In the mornings, I like to take time to jot down in a spiral notebook what I need to get accomplished for the day and what I'd like to get done.

TODAY we have a truck rented that we'll use to load up two curio cabinets, a sewing machine, a corner cabinet and a church pew.  Off to the COTTAGE they will go.  Our day will be dedicated to moving these pieces and unloading.  We will move cautiously and between the two of us and a moving Dollie, we'll get the job done and rest tonight and tomorrow.

This week, we will be working off and on at the COTTAGE.  Hubby is hanging sheetrock in the shed making nice progress by himself.  When he puts his mind to it much gets accomplished. He's a whirlwind of activity.  Impressive.  It's hard for me to keep up with him.

I worked on shuffling boxes and items making way for easy access to the places we will store some pieces of furniture when we transfer them to the COTTAGE.  Vacuumed the rather dirty carpet, went through more papers and thumbed through some magazines.

SHREDDING some old Christmas letters from 1985, made me pause and think about the ones that mailed these to me.  Some have died and some I have lost track of.  When you frequently relocate, the friendships dwindle.  I remember a lady I met in Omaha told me that this bothered her.  That was back in 1984 or so.  She knew what she was talking about.  The friendships do dwindle and that's the way it is.  Seldom do friendships stay strong when communicating through the years.  Life gets busy and there isn't the connection there once was.  Different personalities.  Some like to stay connected and others could care less.  Life goes on and so must I.

Continue throughout the day, taking very good care of your body because it is a beautiful and sacred TEMPLE.

This is a new day and it is wonderful.
Lord, I ask for your help and protection,

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

its rooms are filled with rare

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
