HELLO WORLD. Tis Thursday and I am going to continue going through papers, magazines, books and pieces of junk jewelry. Staying inside until late afternoon then I will venture outside. The plants will need a drink for sure. We are truly having our SUMMER.

This morning Hubby is transplanting our white geraniums into different pots so the coleus can continue to take over the pots they are in. I had the geraniums in with coleus. The coleus love the location and aren't shy to take over. The geraniums will flourish elsewhere.
Granddaughter is here and she is going to mow the shady side of the lawn this morning then tomorrow mow the other half when it is in the cool of the day. It's just too hot to be outside all day. The temps heat up pretty fast. She came inside asking if I had any insect repellent she could use as the bugs were biting. I fixed vinegar water for her to wipe down her legs and arms telling her that she will need to take a shower after mowing the yard or she'll smell like an Easter egg.
Hopefully this week-end the temps will cool some and I can return to working on the Cottage. So much to do.
I was going to get rid of the French Provincial Dresser until I watched flipping furniture videos and saw this! I like French Provincial style furniture. Changing the dresser from off white to black makes a very classy piece. Using it in the Cottage to place the TV on it will be very useful. So I changed my mind. I'll keep the piece and redo it. My piece is similar.
My Purple Pepper plant is doing so well. Just about time to pick some purple peppers for a salad. Can't wait, but will.
Yesterday, we drove to MENARDS to buy a window unit air conditioner. The parts for our Central Air air conditioner have not all come in yet for the repairs, so we had to do something until they do and the unit repaired. A little window unit was our go to fix.
On line Hubby checked out the prices and MENARDS had 8 window units. When we got there they only had one. ONE. The data base on the internet is off wouldn't you say? We quickly purchased it and drove to the COTTAGE across the river and almost through the woods.
HOT OUTSIDE. HOT INSIDE. Once inside the COTTAGE the ceiling fans went on. It was 87 inside and so hot I had to sit in front of a floor fan. I cleaned the window ledge of the window where the window unit would go. It ended up going in one of the Dining room windows. Silly us, we didn't check the size of the windows to buy a window unit according to what size the windows were. Oops.
A BAD CASE OF SENIOR BRAIN. It's just temporary until the Central Air is repaired.
It was uncomfortably hot until the unit was turned on.
I had promised my Husband a chicken dinner for his work. We drove over to Lake Wabaunsee to WILD OLIVES for their Wednesday Night Chicken. This was a first for us and we weren't disappointed. The fried chicken was actually very good. Not too greasy, crisp and meat tender. It was very good. My fried chicken never turns out right. I confess. Still trying to perfect it.
After supper we returned to the Cottage to check on the air conditioner. Working well.
Onto watching a movie at HOME where it is cool and comfortable. Grand is here with us so we watched the PG Fantasy/Action 1hr. 48 minute 1992 movie THE ROCKETEER.
Hubby and I had a date back in 1991 where we watched this on the big screen at the Theatre. I have maybe watched this movie 4 times through the years. 30 years ago. Have mercy...30 years ago? That makes me wonder where the years have vanished to. 30 years ago. That boggles my mind a bit. A creative movie. Action packed with some violence and the young lady's evening dress is too low cut. Skin is showing. This may seem mild compared to what is seen in public in 2021. It would have still been a good movie if her dress had been modest. Glamour and all.
