MINI-VACAY, SOCCER, BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, PIONEER WOMAN MERCANTILE, WILD TURKEYS, DEERS, AND BUFFALOS (BISON)

Drove Saturday to TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA to watch a High School Soccer game where our Grandson was playing.

Pleasant under the lights.  There were two games he played in.  Because of our long drive of 6 hours, we missed the 3 pm game, went to eat an early supper at SAM and ELLA's CHICKEN PALACE (best pizza ever)then watched the 6:30 game.

Last time we ate there one of our Grandsons had been born eight years earlier.  This is the place where we thought we were getting fried chicken, but it's a pizza parlor instead.  grins.

We watched the game!  It's great fun to see our Grandson participate in activities.  After the game we drove to their HOME an hour and a half away and got caught in a horrible rainstorm.

NEXT DAY.........

On Sunday, we celebrated our Grandson's 16th birthday.  He has grown up so fast and here he is 16.  His folks allowed him to choose what he wanted for his birthday supper and he chose RAISING CANE's.  No complaints.

PASSING TIME....TOWEL FIGHTS.  I just watched and laughed.

OUR SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW had wild turkeys grazing in their front yard. I counted 13 as they fed off of the acorns in the grass.  They disappeared returning later with more turkeys.  Must have been a hit.  WILD TURKEYS IN FEBRUARY.  A beautiful sight to see.

SUNDAY NIGHT severe storms blew into OKLAHOMA where we were staying.  This storm spread across parts of Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and into Texas.  We were safe and sound and very fortunate the storm went around us.  We went to bed around midnight.

Had a nice time in OKLAHOMA.

LIKE A SPRING DAY as we drove HOME.  Blue skies and pleasant weather in the 60s. Swoon.  Since we were in the neighborhood, we stopped off in PAWHUSKA to eat at the PIONEER WOMAN'S MERCANTILE.  They're remodeling so the restaurant was relocated to a different building.  She's got a good thing going on here.

MEDITERRANEAN SALAD FOR ME. We ate lunch and I wish I hadn't eaten as much as I did.  I didn't finish.

HUNNY WANTED HIS
CHICKEN FRIED STEAK.

After we ate, we shopped at the Mercantile and had tea upstairs in the COFFEE SHOP area.  I bought a gray bathtub.  Actually a miniature soap dish bathtub that will go in the COTTAGE BATHROOM.

I could have easily bought a whole lot of stuff, but disciplined myself.  I can do that sometimes. haha.  Hubby got a coffee cup and I a tub.  I wish I had gone ahead and bought a hen and rooster salt and pepper shaker set.  They had some very pretty t-shirts as well.  I will return or use the internet to purchase more.

UPSTAIRS TO RELAX

Returning to KANSAS, three deers were on the side of the highway road running away from us as we drove by.  We have Deer Whistles on the car's grill work and as they hear the whistles they run away.  These whistles are worth their weight in gold.  Another beautiful sight to see.

We stopped off in EMPORIUM for a piece of fudge and a cup of coffee for hubby.  I had my chocolate splurge from the CHOCOLATE CAFE.

When we got closer to our little town on the prairie, a herd of Buffalo or Bison were grazing in someone's pasture.  A majestic sight to see.  Sunset occurred as we entered the town.  I was in hopes of being HOME before dark.

It may take a day or so to rest up as it seems like I don't travel as well as I use to.  Back to packing up our belongings for the move.  Hubby hopes to get the backer board laid in the bathroom.  One more step closer to laying tile.  First he gutted the room, laid plywood, now backer board and eventually REAL TILE.

💉 Blood work this week to see where my TSH is at.  I'm ready to know.

WEDNESDAY.  March 1st arrives and I will need to practice clean eating.  MARCH MADNESS for me will be cleaning, decluttering, packing and EATING MORE VEGETABLES.  Gotta work at losing weight in March and think I'm mad about it.  Well maybe not.  AND AWAY I GO.

Veggies galore.  Another trip to the market.  After I cleaned out the fridge, it helped me take inventory of what I need to get.

Blessings

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
