For a few days I ventured away from my MESS AT HOME to have some ALONE time. Much needed rest and praying time. I did pray. Bought a journal. Prayed and prayed some more late into the hour. Early morning hours. Rested. Slept.
But first~
It was a busy few days leading up to the week-end. A quick trip to Saint Louis for Grandparents Day at Grandson's school. ZOOM ZOOM. Spent the night and on the road again. ZOOM ZOOM. Step Grandson's Prom on Saturday. Grand-daughter's water Baptism on Sunday.
OFF I went to have an alone time drive to Cracker Barrel for late afternoon meatloaf lunch with baked carrots and boiled cabbage. I wanted to check out their pretty blouses, but in the Topeka area these blouses were gone. I had been to Wichita's Cracker Barrel earlier in the month in which I saw the most beautiful blouses. Bonkers......I should have gone ahead and purchased a few of them to update my aging wardrobe.
A regret. When I see clothing that strikes my fancy and have the funds I should go ahead and purchase. Not sure when the next shipment of pretties will come in. Shucks. Patience and more patience. Let it go and keep going on.
Checked into the 4 Point by Sheraton. Comfortable. SO comfortable. I prayed for hours. In the morning I would have a semi-spa date with myself, shower, shampoo my hair, air dry hair then use a ceramic heating device for hair from FAMILY DOLLAR to straighten my curly hair.
SIMPLY STRAIGHT and it worked.
Husband met up with me and
we had a heart to heart time.
LUNCH and COFFEE in Seneca, KS.
at the Cornerstone Coffee Haus.
Enjoyed every minute inside the antique building.
AFTERWARDS
the Antique Shop called BUGGY DAYS
caught my eye and we spent a few minutes in the store.
We didn't buy anything although I did see a few things I wouldn't mind having. Another time.
On our way back to HOME,
we stopped off at Frankfort's ELSIE GRACES GIFT SHOPPE.
Always fun to look.
