A SMALL MIRACLE WHILE SHOPPING

IF IT HAD ONLY BEEN SATURDAY, I'd have to say the week went by in a flash. Instead Friday arrived and I looked forward to Saturday.  I'll rest some today plus get some things done.  SPA DAY for sure.

FRIDAY, I wrote out some bills and other correspondences.  Went to the POST OFFICE and the Bank.  Took a drive across the FLINT HILLS.  Twas nice to be out of the house on a semi-warmer day.  Blue skies and sunshine.  Didn't wear a coat or jacket.

Stopped by RETIREMENT COTTAGE to drop off some towels to be dried.  Then drove over to TOPEKA to shop Friday afternoon.  First stop was DOLLAR TREE for Valentine Cards.  ๐Ÿ’— They had an excellent selection of so many cards.  Nice pickings.  On Sunday, I'll work at writing these out so they are ready for my family early on in February.  Monday is February already.  One day closer to SPRING.

Did a clothing donation drop off.  Turned loose of a few more articles.  More to come. Have you heard of the Swedish Death Cleaning Method?  I'd heard about it and thought it sounded morbid...then I watched a few videos and it made more sense.

I think it has it's place while decluttering and I am there.  Kind God, help me to turn loose of more and to know that I cannot take things with me after I pass from this life into eternity. Things are meant for use while alive.  Some sentimental items for memory recall, but overall I can be set free from the bondage of items having me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBTP5yH9qbA

Not to be sad, but more carefree with the time I do have.  Clutter can drain the energy right out of your body.

Then to ALDI we went.  I was aiming for buying more ORGANIC non-GMO vegetables and fruits.  Some meats, milk and creamer.  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Topeka's ALDI is laid out differently then Manhattan's store.  I liked the layout.  Inside the door is PIZZA and then the veggies and fruits.  Practically inside the door.

Let's see if I can remember what I picked up.  Asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, snap peas, celery, carrots, cabbage, 2 different kinds of cucumbers, colored peppers, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, grapefruit, grapes, lettuce, radishes, green peppers, scallions, onions, zucchini, 2 types of squash, milk, creamer, orange juice, eggs, Jiffy corn muffin mix, ground beef, chicken breast, salmon steak, cod fillets, instant mashed potatoes, a couple of small mixed frozen veggies in bags, green tea, black tea, shredded cheeses, pizza, granola, Pecan Sandies, 1 can of spaghetti๐Ÿ˜‰s, ch๐Ÿ˜‹c๐Ÿ˜‹late bars, 2 box containers of organic bone broth, and I think that's about it.

I wanted to shop mostly vegetables and fruit.  Felt great about our selections.  More organic items this go round.  Working at eating more veggies and fruit, smaller portions of food unless it's veggies.  Less snacking.  OOPS.  I should have gotten some apples, bananas and oranges.

After we shopped we drove to the Dollar Store for forgotten batteries.  Stopped at RETIREMENT COTTAGE to pick up laundry and onto our house for PIZZA.

I did not use an electric cart this shopping trip.  I was pain free and able to walk to shop.  A miracle.  Relish the moment.  PAUSE.

Had to clean out some of the old stuff in the fridge and wash out a veggie bind.  Unload the groceries and wipe everything down.

Evening entertainment was watching decorating and organizing videos off of YOUTUBE.  I am so impressed with these young women and how clever they are.  I have to take some of their ideas and use them.  Staying young at heart has a price that I'm not sure I can pay.

FEBRUARY, Lord willing I will work in the new TV room.  Plans were changed before and I still haven't finished the TV room.  Much to do in there.  If I have a comfy chair to sit in to rest while I'm working in there, it will help save my back.

As much as I was out and about on Friday, my back held up until I got HOME.  That is so good. A small miracle much appreciated.  I did not split the Red Sea or walk on water.  No turning water into wine.  I stayed away from rubbing mud into my eyes and no body put my ear back onto the side of my head, but I didn't have a back ache as I shopped.  PAUSE.  If you have ever had horrible back aches you know the wonder of when there is no pain.

A miracle.

THURSDAY

Here it is THURSDAY.  Staying indoors.  I have dedicated this day to doing paperwork.  I have a sense of accomplishment getting to this place.  Organized and filed receipts from way back.  Seeing the statements grouped together and filed makes me feel very grown up at 65.  haha.  This happens to me each time I get to the place of order.  I feel very mature and grownup.  Good thing, because I am old.

Thursday.  We had a phone call from our Gas Services.  They came to the house to check the gas lines and hook-ups.  We have no leaks and this is a good thing.  Check that off the to do list.  I worked on paperwork while they were here and made progress.  Ready for round two of blending the newly filed papers with archive statements in a different basket.

๐Ÿ‘‰V-8 for Breakfast and left overs for Lunch.  Not sure about Supper yet.  I think I'd like to have turkey sandwiches tonight.

๐Ÿ‘‰Laundry is hanging to dry.

๐Ÿ‘‰Bed is made.

๐Ÿ‘‰Financial Budget worked on.

๐Ÿ‘After this round of paperwork has been gone through, the next project comes to light.  I can multitask, but I like getting big projects out of the way before another one is started.  Not always possible, but still like doing LIFE this way for now.

๐Ÿ‘What will I do to make HOME a HAPPY PLACE today?  Be cheery myself and stay out of trouble.  No arguments.  Sweet disposition.

MARIA CALLAS

Last night I listened to opera with the help of you tube.  There a few arias that I can recognize and really like.  So many talented singers through the years.  MARIA CALLAS was extremely popular in her day.

I was aware of her affair she had with Onassis and how broken hearted she was when he left her to marry Jackie Kennedy.

As a child, I remember when Jackie married Onassis and thought how odd it appeared.  To me she would remain First Lady forever not Mrs. Onassis.

Listening to some recordings of Maria Callas, I've compared her to other singers that I like better, but then that's me.  Recording has become more sophisticated over the years. Not so grainy sounding.  I was stunned to find out she was once heavy.  She denied using tape worms to reduce in size, but used low calorie meals of chicken and salads.  She was a sensation.

Determined to lose weight (at 29 years old she came to weigh 92 kg at 172 cm), she is said to have voluntarily ingested a tapeworm, drinking it in a chilled champagne glass. At 32, she had reached 54 kg. Passionate, she was tied to the Greek shipowner Aristotle Onassis.

In a year she reduced to a very thin woman with a stunning figure that had a famous singing voice.  SO chicken and salads it is.

Truly a DIVA,

THE SHIP SUNK

OH JOY!  I woke to snow on the ground.  My soul jumps with joy.  I opened the curtains seeing the snowy stuff covering my yard.  Tis cold outside, but I am warm and cozy in my HOME. A BLESSING.  The washing machine is running as I type and I'm getting ready to have a V8 for added vegetables in my day count of veggies.

Yesterday, I only had two meals with a snack in the evening.  Odd thing is, I wasn't very hungry so the two meals were enough.  Soft tacos for lunch with supper being baked chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes.  Snack was Rice Krispy Treats with milk.

Smaller portions and taking longer to eat.  Slower eating to actually taste the food in my mouth. Taking more time between bites.  No hurry.  More non-GMO foods, organic, less pork more pasture fed lean beef, turkey, range free chicken, eggs, some fish such as salmon, tuna and cod. I've cut out the coffee even caffeine free and cutting back on artificial sweeteners.  Not so much sugar.  Bump up the good fats like avocados and olive oil.  I will have to decrease high fat dairy and strive to use lower fat dairy.  More nuts.  Up the fruit and veggies.  I can do this thang.

We're being played.  Why are GMO foods being pushed on peeps?  High fructose corn syrup used to sweeten so much?  What about so much toxic fluoride added to products and especially water under the guise that it is helpful in preventing tooth decay?  Calcifying the pineal gland causing health issues?  Plant based foods like fake meat becoming easier to obtain?  Beautiful cotton altered and becoming the dirtiest crop around?  Vaccines with human DNA from aborted babies manufactured when ethic ones are doable?  Aborted baby parts in make-up?  Controversial Chem Trails affecting air quality and disturbing healthy plants making them die?  Have I missed any?  I'm sure I have.  Such as the destruction of morals and dethroning God with the media material being presented and subject matters in movies, film and programming stories that encourage sin, death and worldly living.  Promoting all Bible translations as acceptable even if they leave out ye must be born again through Christ and encourage all ways lead to God.  You are GOD so who needs one?  Churches claiming to be Christian where their sanctuaries look more like a night club with flashing lights and smoke.  Do they have infrasonic sound systems that make it possible to feel sound and not hear it controlling emotions?  Mood music for sure. Mantras in the lyrics of the songs where you sing the words over and over and over again?  Don't forget SiriusXM satellite radio capable of sending happy vibes through the air waves.  Maybe sad ones as well.  Let the tears flow.

Didn't see that one coming.  Back on track.  The way of the world is a real thing and when someone shares about it, they instantly become a conspiracy theorist.  BRANDED.  Nutso here. Out to lunch.  Dancing in circles.  Paranoid.  Making no sense...

For late night entertainment we watched some television about the Titanic scandal.  I hadn't heard this one, but they presented the theory of ship switching.  They say it was actually the damaged Olympic, the Titanic's sister ship, that sunk.  They had a very convincing argument that the ships were switched beforehand changing the names.

I hadn't thought about it before, but I checked out who profited from the Titanic sinking and was the ship insured?  The ship was insured.  Although the RMS Titanic was registered as a British ship, it was owned by the American tycoon, John Pierpont (J.P.) Morgan.   Human life doesn't mean much to those who desire money to line their pockets come what may.  There's info about Jesuits being involved.

Just so happens JP Morgan changed his plans of traveling on the Titanic due to illness at the last minute.  Morgan was spotted a few days later elsewhere doing well.  No noticeable illness.  The conspiracies continue to this day.  JP Morgan would perish close to a year later.  All that money didn't save his soul.  I research on the computer as the television is on.  Multi-tasking.

Onto reading more about cereal.  hah.  My subject matter jumps about.  JH Kellogg has a very interesting life story.  Many of his theories remain today.  He lived to be 91 dying from pneumonia after developing acute bronchitis.  Much written about him.  He believed wearing white suits allowed his body to absorb the most sunlight.

He was raised an Seventh Day Adventist sustaining from meat and sex.  He was apparently a very intelligent person that achieved much in the health world.  Kellogg believed that cornflakes helped alleviate sexual urges.  There are some rather cruel things he promoted to mutilate the human body to discourage sexual functions.  He'd be disfellowshipped from the Seventh Day Adventist and become a freemason.

Freemasons and illuminati call the shots in this world.  America was an experiment.  They can rewrite history to the tune they want.  Have you ever wondered how smoke and mirrors contribute to the scheme of things?  What about a dog and pony show?

Reading and researching about freemasonry and the illuminati has been a on again off again thing I have read about for quite a few years.  Now this is an interesting and informative realm. We've been played and are continued to be played.

When it comes to politics, the ship has sunk. The illuminati has said it doesn't matter who you vote for, you always vote for us.  I believe this to be true.  "It doesn't matter who the people voted for; they always vote for us" - Illuminati Statement -

Perhaps we all need a canoe.

I'D LIKE SOME SNOW WITH IT

CHILLY AND GREY MORNING.  In the distance, a train whistle blows as its rumbling sound goes through town vibrating my home environment in the room I'm in.  With the weather conditions the way they are I suppose contributes to hearing the rumbling.  After the train passes, it's so quiet inside.

The curtains are open letting visions of the grey encase the Kansas sky.  It looks like a true wintery day this Monday.  The rain is dripping from the windows making dinging sounds.  Perhaps it will actually snow as predicted.

Sitting here I wonder what I should attempt to do within the house.  A couple loads of laundry, papers to file, run the vacuum in the dining room, appointment in the shower sometime today.  Very lenient with the time.  A Longaberger basket sits to the side of my recliner holding papers to go through.  It could be lots worse.  Larger baskets do exist in the universe.  Thankfully, not on my watch.  I must be productive so I'll thumb through the paperwork and call it good.

The Christmas decor is gone.  That took a month of Sundays to make happen, but I'm alright with the decor on the door holding out for as long as it did.  It disappeared just in time for missing future snow storms.

PAUSE

It has begun to snow some.  Lovely fluffy white flakes falling.  My heart is singing a HAPPY SONG.  For a moment I witnessed snowflakes of the real kind.  No references toward people being  snowflakes, but nature's way of taking care of WINTER drought.  It stopped about as fast as it started.  Daytime thrill.

I so hope that there's more from where that came from.  So hope.  We may not get much snow this year.  I would be very disappointed.  If it's going to be cold, I'd like some snow with it.

THINKING ABOUT Valentine's Day

Thinking about the warmth that Valentine's Day brings to my heart.  ๐Ÿ’ž

Valentine's Day is on a Sunday this year.

About 3 weeks away.

Something special should take place.
๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’‹

AS I HAPPILY SIT IN MY CHAIR, for the most part all of the CHRISTMAS decorations are put away and neatly stored in the basement.  Hubby worked hard to get this storage area organized.  It looks so much better this year than last.  We know where the majority of decor is now.  A little more to do then we can rest about this drama.

Before the snow comes I want to take the outdoor ornaments off the garland and start the task of clearing off the outside door decor.  I have enjoyed this area so much I resist putting it away.  It added charm to our 1883 house.  I hate to see it disappear.  sigh.

Yesterday, I got out of the house.  The sun was shinning and the roads were clear.  I took a drive to pay a utility bill and put some towels in the dryer then went to Topeka for some green tea and thrift shopping, dropping off a donation, Natural Grocers and shopping Sams.

Afterwards, I was tired.  Driving home in the dark went well and I rested while pizza baked in our oven.  Organic white pizza with spinach from Natural Grocers for me.  The crust was made from almonds.  It was really quite good.  I will return after payday to look at their products throughout the store.  Ever heard of water in a box?  grins.

Prayed for a wonderful day.  Slow and leisurely to take in the sights outside my house.  Answered prayer.  Very nice day.  ๐Ÿ˜‡

We are entering into a second year of the pandemic with the death count climbing.  I wear the mask, disinfect items I touch and wash my hands more than ever.  Stay away from crowds, social distance and respect others.  I have hopes that this virus will die out.

In my head I have it that the virus will be around for three years.  If this is the case, we have two more years of this.  If I'm wrong, it could last much longer.  Stay the course and keep praying.

Valentine's Day is next month, but I cannot help but think about it.  Red and pink hearts.  Lace and roses.  Special memories come to mind.  New memories need to be made.  HUGS.

I wish I had a HEART SHAPED WREATH for the front doors.  Better check that one out.

Blessings to you!

DINING ON THE PRAIRIE: Pan Fried Pork Chops, Farmhouse French Green Beans, and Mashed Potatoes

Pan Fried Pork Chops, Farmhouse French Green Beans with Mashed Potatoes and Brown Gravy.

Dining on the Prairie really well this week.  No complaints.  Do you ever use the recipes on the container of a product you have?  I have.  The FARMHOUSE FRENCH ONION GREEN BEANS RECIPE was tried and we LOVED it.  I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this was.

The green beans were incredibly tasty.  Think we have something here that we really liked.  After the first bite, I went mmmmmmm this is so good.

๐ŸšฉFlagging this one as a favorite.

I love Green Bean Casserole that many fix for the HOLIDAYS which has miniature onion rings in it.  Well this green bean dish has Vidalia onion in it as well as dried minced and powder onion.  ONION seems to be the magic ingredient in many food preps.  Including Meatloaf that so many Southerners enjoy.

WORTH A TRY,                                                                                           x♡x d

BLESSING IN DISGUISE

BRIGHT SHINNY DAY OUTSIDE with snow in the forecast for Monday.  This probably will change as it is Kansas and that happens often.  HAIR APPOINTMENT today with myself.  Same 'ole same 'ole.

Same 'ole same 'ole is a blessing these days with such chaos in this world.  Uneventful days AT HOME can be taken as a true blessing in disguise.

A quiet day at HOME is a blessing in disguise which I choose to uncover and acknowledge.

In the evenings we are watching PBS.  MISS SCARLET AND THE DUKE for murder mystery entertainment and ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL for life in 1937 England being a veterinarian.  Both are well written programs and much better television than the American agenda 'bang bang shoot em up punch you in the face hop into bed asking what did you say your name was' shows.

I've grown weary of what some believe is entertainment because it sells.  Nice to have more to choose from than what is out there.  Turn the tele off and use your own imagination to create something better for yo soul.  Boredom gets many into trouble.  It did King David when he was on his roof top restless and bored because he had not gone to war.  Instead he saw Bathsheba bathing and you know what happens next.

Boredom can be a dangerous thing.

Going to make this a wonderful day in the FLINT HILLS.

TWEAK, TWEAK, TWEAK, STAY THE COURSE

BLUEBERRY FRENCH STYLE  OUI YOGURT was my non GMO morning snack with 160 calories.  Earlier today was a morning breakfast V8.  Sipping spring water.  I will stay the course of thriving toward a healthier me.  OUI.  Breaking the mold of years gone by eating.  I'm praying this goes well and I reduce to a healthier weight.  Not vanity, but for health.

Changing a little here and a little there.

Stay the course.

As I sit here in my grey recliner, I can hear the Kansas wind howling outside making my Wednesday inside a sweet one.  Temps are nice.  Laundry will be worked on.  Papers thinned out. Bills looked over.  Tweaking to do around the house.  Tweak, tweak, tweak.

I did watch the Presidential Inauguration.  Father O'Donovan's prayer was touching, healing and up lifting.  Songs sung by Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks were very well done.  The crowd may have been small, but mighty.  After all there is a pandemic going on.

Exercise today will be climbing stairs while carrying heavy clothing on hangers.  Small baby steps.

Hubby is applying a third coat of blue paint on the screened-in porch ceiling.  Next he will be installing crown molding and painting it.  Screen will be installed and then I believe the porch will be completed.  Hallelujah and a half.

Tis the middle of the week and no medical appointments.  The Wednesdays this month have been busy for me and this country.

This year I will concentrate on health, decluttering the house, clean up, sewing, writing and reading.  More smiles.  HOME LIFE is for me.

GRANDPA

Sun shinny day as I look outside.  Cold, but then it's January.  The anniversary of my Grandpa's passing 43 years ago comes this week.  A lifetime ago.  My second born was just a tiny baby.  We traveled with my sister and brother in law to Colorado for the funeral.  My dear Mother in law watched my boys as my sis brought her new born along with us for the journey from Kansas to Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Terribly cold when we went.  Bitter cold.  I was 21 years old at the time.  A spring chicken. Grandpa was about 84.  Everyday, he'd take a walk around the block.  He and Grandma had moved from the country into town to live in large bungalow.  Their country home was once a crude log cabin that they modernized and stuccoed white.

When I was a little girl I remember visiting them while they were finishing the dining room floor. Grandpa with his brother in law Ben were down on their knees laying tiles.  SO they took a primitive cabin and worked it over into a nice ranch style HOME.  3 bedrooms, one bath, attached garage, living room with the dining area to the side.  A nice size kitchen with a mud room that lead to the out of doors.  The back yard was dirt with clumps of grass and native shrub. Isolated in the country.  Dirt roads and blue sky for as far as you looked.

Grandpa would have been a man in his late 60s early 70s when he and Grandma moved to the log cabin.  He still road horses ranching sheep and cattle.  This was his lively hood.

In his younger day he was quite the cowboy that was an award winner with the lasso.

When he married my Grandma, he was 25 or 26 and she was 25.  Today's standards would not consider this old, but back in the day it wasn't considered young.  Grandma would have been an old maid.  Grandpa served in the Navy crossing the ocean many times and before he came back to civilian life he stopped off in Philadelphia to buy a wedding ring for my Grandma.

For some reason Grandma's father did not like Grandpa.  He had a great dislike toward Grandpa's father and for this he told my Grandma that he hoped he'd never see her again.  So I do not know if he attended the wedding or not where Grandma picked wildflowers for her wedding bouquet and sewed her own wedding dress.  She gave up her homestead to marry Grandpa.

After Grandma and Grandpa went on their honeymoon, Grandma's father got his wish.  He'd drown in a flash flood.  SO I don't know if Grandma attended her father's funeral or not.  It's sketchy.

Imagine your father telling you that he hoped he'd never see you again and then would die while you are on your honeymoon. Grandma's mother always thought that her son in law was the nicest person.

Grandma stayed true to her Husband and Grandpa stayed true to his wife.  They made their HOME together and lived through thick and thin.  Becoming one flesh and married for 56 and a half years.

MONDAY MOMENTS

SWEET BEGINNINGS TO THIS WEEK.  I continue my task of sorting through old papers to thin out or file.  Emptying one basket, I move onto another.  The sense of accomplishment embraced me for a short spell.  Deep breath and relief.  I cannot do much that is overly physical, and I am determined to stay busy as I sit so paperwork is doable.

I move slow like a tortoise and my husband is the hare that moves quickly.  Together we will win this race of having order.  I am hopeful.  He has been shuffling boxes in the basement.  I have grouped ornaments into red tubs.  He is seeing to it that all the CHRISTMAS stays together.  I see to it that there are storage tubs to house the items in.  We're a team.

Every once in awhile he'll bring me something he found.  I confess, I forgot we had that.  grins. It is almost funny.  I ask, "Where did we get that?"

Sometimes it comes to mind and sometimes it doesn't.

Earlier today, I carried clothing on hangers upstairs and while I was up there I tweaked some in the bedrooms rolling bedding to be neatly stored in my closet.  Each trip upstairs, I carry clothing on hangers.  I hang clothing in proper closets and tweak some more of what needs attention such as boxes of cards that I have kept for my children.  I don't have the heart to throw these away and believe that my children will have the honors of pitching or keeping the cards that were given to them when they were living under my roof as a child growing into adulthood.

All three children were presented childhood memorabilia during their 40th year of life.  At least 40 items were given.  I was delighted to be able to see each child open wrapped things from the past.  It was a treasure to see.  I walked down Memory Lane with them.  One grandchild mentioned that they'd like to have this happen when they are 40.

I have a stash for each Grandchild, but instead of having items in a scrapbook I have items stashed in labeled yellow envelopes that hopefully will go to each Grandchild when they are older.  Newspaper clippings, birthday party invites, birth announcements, special drawings go inside their envelope.  Makes for using less space on the bookshelf.  It doesn't have to be orderly inside the envelope.  If they go through the envelope they will see that Grandma kept a lot.  grins. All the envelopes are stored in a plastic file box.

A little at a time, I will clear out of my closet articles of clothing that will go to the thrift shop donation.  I will only keep a few sentimental articles, clothing that I wear often and special occasion items.  Thin out my shoes and purses.  Coats and jackets.  It seems that things are done in phases.

I am always thinking about a better way of doing things.  Always.  With so many people I know that have died, I know we cannot take things with us as we enter eternity.  MY time has come to get my household in order.  Nothing goes with me, but my spirit.  I'm overdo.  WHILE I AM ALIVE, I shall live.  Less clutter attached to my personality and HOME.  My household functions. I do not need to worry so much about the future and how we will make it.  I will make it the best I can.

Yesterday, I threw away old notebooks that I have kept as daily planners, notes about thyroid health, religious studies, decorating tips, etc.  It was refreshing to have turn loose of them.  Now to group medical papers, bank statements, receipts galore.  It will lift my spirits to have this caught up once again.  I confess I got lax over grouping and filing my monthly receipts and statements.  I have to have a system that works and I will not beat myself up running so far behind as this has been a year of a pandemic where I had my mind on such things that took away my filing system.  My energy is affected when things are out of order because I know no one else will do this job but oui.

When my laundry is caught up, I'm satisfied.  Contentment for a short time.  It's a sigh of relief that it is done if not just for a few minutes.  A mini goal fulfilled.

As this week advances, I'll stay busy doing what I need to get done.  Some HOT TEA moments where I deliberately sit and think about what comes to mind.  The Mailman just dropped the mail off.  He's late today as it usually comes around 9 am.  Today at 1 PM is late.  I wonder. Different carrier.  This one is much younger than our usual carrier.  He must be learning the ropes.

We're half way through the first month of 2021.  Grandchildren's birthdays.  Death of a friend. Horrendous riot breaching Capitol.  Counting of the electoral votes.  Medical appointments. Inauguration this Wednesday.  Waiting for snow.

No matter your feelings about the election, I pray without ceasing.  You know how it is when you have your eyes opened to the truth how ugly the falsehoods become.  Depending on the intensity of what one believes when the truth soaks in, there is shock value to process.

Sometimes like a deer caught in the headlights.

NEWS OF THE WORLD Trailer (2020)

BLINK and the week was gone.  Last night we ate HOMEMADE PIZZA and I treated myself to a real rootbeer.  We watched the 2020 Tom Hanks Western/Drama, NEWS OF THE WORLD for a second time.

Westerns are some of my favorite movies to watch.  I liked this one a lot.  The cinematography was wonderful and the story line excellent.  A very good movie if you ask me.  Filmed in New Mexico. Tastefully done.  Very believable.

******************************************************

BASEMENT SHUFFLING, SORTING AND TIDYING.  It continues.

We stayed busy this past week.  Waiting for results on Hubby's biopsy on Wednesday.  Bought more red CHRISTMAS TUBS at Menards for $4.99.  Still cleaning and organizing.  Hubby is organizing downstairs storage as I go through our collection of Hallmark Ornaments that were here, there and everywhere due to not being settled from relocating due to a house fire.  I like order so order it will be.  CHRISTMAS tubs are usually red or clear body with red lid.  Easy to spot when ready to identify for a season to decorate.

Today, I went through many stray ornaments that I had forgotten about especially the Santas. Surprised me as I went though the boxes.  Misc., Barbies, Trains, Santas and still looking for the Nostalgic Houses and Shops. Not sure where they are hiding.

Hubby found our second Nativity Scene.  Placing similar items together on shelves.  The missing snowflakes that I was going to use for our 2020 Christmas tree that were no where to be found...were found today.  Tadaaah.  Winter Wonderland in January.

My Snowflakes, Angels, Nutcrackers and larger Santas are found and grouped together!  A simple pleasure makes my HOMEMAKING HEART HAPPY.

CHRISTMAS around here on the Prairie is a big deal.

THIS YEAR I hope is a year of order.  The first part of the year will be about organizing the CHRISTMAS DECOR.  Finish this and onto the TV Room which has been waiting for me.  I had hoped to be done with it by now, but....too much else got in the road.

I'm on edge about the President saying his good-byes to the White House and Presidency.  The Inauguration will be one like being in a third world country.  I do not believe we need a 1776 Revolution or another Civil War.  I don't want the Wild West to return.

Trumpism is not my idea of being a true Patriot.  America never stopped being GREAT.  We have a Constitution and freedoms.

What will transpire this coming week will be unknown.  It's my guess that President Trump will continue to want the government to be overthrown with his MAGA MOVEMENT.  He will still be encouraging insurrection.

God help us and protect us.

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED
As long as I live, I will have to continually submit to God's plan for my life. You will be blessed because you turned your life over to God. Be confessing how good God is and tell Him you agree with who He says He is. BELIEVE and watch miracles happen. Be not afraid. ~Deanna

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
