SUNDAY and we hope to watch the SUPER BOWL this afternoon. Gathered up 2 bags of chips and 3 types of salsa. Will make a large salad consisting of spring greens, scallion onions, thinly sliced radishes, diced red and green peppers, diced tomatoes, olives, blue berries, chick peas, black beans. Top with croutons. Salad dressing. Skip the cheese. Celery sticks will be left out so we can munch just on the sticks. Hubby said he'd make some guac. Should be tasty for the game. Will use paper products and be glad I had them.
I have grown to drink bottled water for the beverage and like it. You wouldn't have heard me say this 5 years ago. Don't need sweetened drinks or tea. No soda or alcohol for me and I'm alright with this. Giving up dessert is much harder for me than the other. SUGAR has a hold on me. Cutting back on it. After Valentine's Day when we have a steak meal and sweets, I will detox. Until then, I do not need to pig out on FOOD.
We are detoxing from television platforms. HUBBY is weaning us off of them. My daughter used the terminology PLATFORM which I hadn't heard stations/ channels called this before. The things you learn staying out of the loop. Hello...I'm innocent.
He is in the news. Very popular sports celebrity. When he was about to give up High School football, his beautiful mom encouraged him to stay with it. He did and has made heads turn.
One of our OKLAHOMA GRANDSONs went to STATE for basketball over the week-end. The team placed FIRST. So exciting. We were able to watch it via computer as our son went live on facebook. I watched the Friday and Saturday games via facebook. It is amazing to be able to stay home and watch a OKLAHOMA game right from my comfy chair.
CONGRATS to our champion.
It would have been wonderful to see in person, but this was the next BEST thing.
and organizing.
Back to being a HOMEMAKER in the act,
