THE DAY WAS LONG, but productive and fun. THRIFTY MOMENTS for entertainment and it went well. Story begins here.
Drove over to a different community to pick up our medication from the Pharmacy. Out of pocket expense for natural ARMOUR THYROID nearly hit $100 for one month supply for just me. Hubby takes the same meds, but for the time being he gets a little discount on his. That comes to about $3.28 a day for me. I believe I will need to shop around to see if I can get a better price on this.
When I peeked at the price, I was taken a back. I should have known better. It seems to continue rising in price.
Onto Manhattan buzzing through the Star Bucks Drive through for tea and a Protein Box to split so we'd have an egg in us to tide us over until we could eat lunch, but they were sold out. Walnut bread instead.
We dragged Main Street and toured some neighborhoods before my chiropractic appointment.
I think I probably have one more future treatment and then I shall see how I manage. I learned that the way my posture was that my left leg was shorter than the right. I knew I had a rotated hip. I am feeling so much better though and am thankful that my right hip is doing better.
Appointment went well. Afterwards HUBBY wanted Mexican food for lunch so I went along with this and had a tamale with beans and rice. Water to drink. Since it was Tuesday we included TOPEKA to do some shopping. Off we went across the beautiful FLINT HILLS to Topeka.
HERE COMES THE THRIFTING HIGH. GOD's STOREHOUSE was on the agenda. What did I find to purchase?
👕 A couple of SPRING/SUMMER shirts for Hubby.
🥘 A beautiful $9.60 white pottery casserole dish with lid and a small dish to match. A veggie steamer. Looked up the signature on the bottom. Coburn. Researched it. Steven Coburn from Salina, Ks. When putting it on a top shelf in the PANTRY, there was a smaller piece of pottery by him as well. Pretty neat to see that I have two of his pieces.
It's the one directly under the goose. The subtle colors warm my heart and add to my collection. She has a few stains on top and the underside, but it's nothing I can't LIVE with. A real treat for the THRIFTY momma in me.
🌿 Some old Herb magazines priced at 50 cents each.
✎ Art manuals.
I think that was just about it. I was in my HAPPY place while shopping as I actually found some things to bring HoME with me. This place feeds my soul somehow.
TARGET was next in line for a nice Mother's Day greeting card for my Mom, Iron tablets, zip lock bags, Mrs. Meyer's dish detergent, hand soap and surface cleaner all Lilac scented. They didn't have maple syrup in a glass bottle nor did they have sugar-free ketch-up. Off to NATURAL GROCERS for sugar-free ketch-up in glass bottle and Maple Syrup in glass container.
To SAMs for throwaway coffee cups and grass-fed beef. Fueled the car noticing the higher priced gasoline. Auto fuel will continue to rise which reminds me we are making America great again.
By this time I was tired and very ready to go HoME. Our drive takes close to 30 minutes to make.
The last few days, I have been run down and it is affecting me in a negative way. Naps, naps, naps. I decided that I need to return to getting some Vitamin B12 shots. Messaged my doctor asking if I could continue doing this. I think I was feeling so much better last year when I took these. So I need to return to receiving these. It seems like I get to feeling better and then I don't stay with what is helping me. I slowly fade back into not feeling the best. Not good.
I rested and planned for tomorrow. I truly want to try to walk some. Not a mile, but perhaps 1/4 to a 1/2 mile for starters. This hip episode has been upsetting to me and slowed me down. A challenging seasons to say the least.
This scripture comforts my soul when dealing with false religions and con artist that are spiritual advisers such as Paula W-C who bows to Mother Moon who calls herself the only begotten daughter of god. Who is the President of the United States of America's spiritual adviser? A little blonde headed woman from Tupelo, Mississippi who isn't shy about asking people to place their jewelry in the offering plate instead of cash. humpf. Oh my.
In a nutshell, I went from going to church in my mother's womb to being sprinkled as a child in the Methodist Church. I grew up wanting to be a good example of how a child could follow instructions and be a little light in a dark world. I grew to maturity hungry for Bible teaching and wanting to date the Baptist boys in Liberal, Kansas. When I married I was not attending any church before children. Later, I took my little children to a First Christian Church then back to a Methodist Church.
As time passed, I began shopping for a HoME Church elsewhere. Spiritual events took place and I tried my best to stay out of a christian cult just to get into one with the word of faith movement. God was good and pulled me out of the fire. Detoxing took time with study and prayer.
Recovery time took years, but I am now on the other side of where I was. I am now resting in the truth of the Holy Bible. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are mine. Salvation through the Son. With this, I have free audience with Almighty God. No appointment needed to be in HIS presence. No works required to visit with HIM. What a great privilege. To God be the glory. Great things HE hath done. I am adopted into the family of GOD as a daughter to the most high one. Amazing. A daughter!
