My g o o d n e s s....2020 is in a year.
How will we ever manage?
I did eat more salads in 2018 as I had hoped to.
Check. This will continue.
Lost some weight. Check.
This will continue? Check.
More salads, vegetables, water and walks.
Will drink more Spring water to wet my whistle as some say.
Bought some bottled spring water to guzzle
with my morning meds.
Perfect size of water to start my day out.
Wanting to be pro-active with healthy changes.
More veggies and less bread.
I can do this thing.
I can.
Breakfast this morning was
my hot cup of coffee made with cream.
Spring water in the Keurig.
Lunch was a handful of mixed nuts,
cup of left over Olive Garden spaghetti with small bread stick,
huge spring green and spinach salad, 2 hard boiled eggs,
a dash of pepper with salad dressing for added zest.
More water.
Afternoon snack is a second cup of hot coffee with cream.
Not sure about super yet.
Haven't a clue. Chinese.
It's the middle of the week.
Some call this HUMP DAY.
Okay.
Figuring out the rest of the week as we are into the new year.
We celebrated New Year's Eve
with Family then spent the night over at retirement cottage.
with Family then spent the night over at retirement cottage.
Not a long drive.
Icy cold outside with spitting snow.
Our Grand daughter prepared most the goodies to snack on and we watched a decent movie before watching the ball drop in New York City.
I haven't watched NBC, ABC, CBS television programming
for about a half a year.
New Years Eve would have been just fine without
Chrissy's comments about what she was doing in one of the picture.
Not to hide my head in the sand, but...
Turn my head and rejoice.
We can make decisions to NOT watch NBC or any other channel.
This is a form of detoxing and feeding our minds a better menu.
TRASH T.V. out.
Comcast and GE formed the joint venture holding company NBCUniversal, LLC. NBCUniversal, Inc. became a wholly owned subsidiary of the holding company and was renamed as NBCUniversal Media, LLC.
On the other hand,
the movie we watched earlier was one that the entire family
could watch. THUMBS UP.
'DOG DAYS'
Would watch again.
CHRISTMAS MEMORIES to ponder.
Family from Oklahoma stayed for 4 days.
Also my Mom and older brother visited and stayed a night.
We had a busy time, but very nice.
Then drove around the Topeka Lake
to see more light displays.
to see more light displays.
Monday was Hubby's 64th birthday
in which we celebrated at Retirement Cottage
with Ice Cream and sugar-free German Chocolate cake.

with Ice Cream and sugar-free German Chocolate cake.
He blew out the candles as we sang to him HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Enjoyed the treats.
Then had a 'FIND THE CHRISTMAS PICKLE'
on the Christmas Tree that was decorated.
There were 4 pickles hidden along with a gold Santa hidden
on the tree each with a cash prize.
NO HEAD SHOTS.
Think all that participated had a great time.
IT's A WONDERFUL LIFE.
Small screen but big sound.
BIG MEMORIES.
On the way back to OUR PRAIRIE HOME
we pulled over into a farm pasture to watch
a light show to music.
OPENED PRESENTS!!!
CHRISTMAS NIGHT and all is well.
I regret that we didn't read to the children the Biblical scripture about baby Jesus being born. This would have been a memorable time as family to usher in Christmas morning.
Enjoyed the time together though.
We played card games and snacked on lots of sweets to eat.
It was a active time
and I washed enough dishes to last me into the new year.
grins.
What will I do different this year?
Clean slate.
Eat more veggies and walk.
Declutter.
Organize and improve skills in being creative.
One step at a time,
d
