When I bought this little Tray with feet, I wondered why it had feet on the bottom when all my other serving trays had none? Hummmmmmmmm....why.
Duh.....fogged thinking in my old age. Sorry it does happen from time to time....peri-menopausal with wild hormones raging. Surprise YOUNG LADIES and men in our lives...foggy thinking does happen from time to time. When it happens you won't be shocked...right? Say a prayer and wish for the best.
I didn't grow up in a household where Mother served Coffee on a Silver Tray. So I didn't know that some Serving Trays had feet on them or what THAT FEATURE was even for. But we did have a STAINLESS STEEL Coffee Percolator back in the day. The newest and greatest thing back then. Stainless Steel is still a neat thing to have. Cleaner and healthier to use than aluminum.
After our Coffee Maker d i e d, Daughter was sweet to let us use her percolator. We returned to perking the coffee. Like having it around. Easy clean-up! Pouring coffee fresh from the pretty appliance is handy.
When I served my Hubby Coffee in the Parlour
he was pleased.
As I stared at the coffee pot from across the room, it dawned on me that the feet on the tray were placed there to prevent damage from happening to the surfaces that the tray sat on. DUH....The elevated tray prevents the heat from transferring to the surface. Brilliant thought. Maybe it was the caffeine I was drinking that woke me up. Haha.
