RESTING. More resting. Sunday truly was a full day of rest for me. MONDAY will be what it is. The aftermath of a deer that came out of nowhere hitting the car I was driving at NIGHT is replaying in my head. Sometimes when I go through things, I am stunned at the time and it takes awhile to fully process it. This is one of those times.
Having something run out in front of me while traveling down the highway hitting my little car happened so quickly that I was in disbelief. Didn't see that coming. I don't want to become paranoid, but think this incident will have a long lasting effect on me when I drive the car especially at NIGHT.
Hubby is taking the vehicle in for a body repair estimate. Grab your purse lil lady, it will be expensive in the year 2023. Our other car is sitting in the drive because the repairs on it were more than I ever imagined. We are having to wait to get this one worked on. Now our lil Cruiser has been hit by a deer. We are in one of those awkward spots working at saving money while paying debt that we want to pay off and don't need more huge bills. I did not know before that if your car is totaled that the insurance company takes the car from you leaving you without it even though it is your property that could be sold for parts.
I can see why some give up on getting ahead and settle in with thinking it will never be alright. This is a setback. It's an opportunity to re-evaluate how things are going and think about what to do next.
Hopefully we will have a productive day. I'll be carrying storage tubs out of the basement to the car to haul another load to the storage unit. Unload and drive onto a medical appointment for my Husband. A late lunch and HOME to rest. Then I will load the car with another haul going the other direction to place canvasses in the COTTAGE shed. Once I am there, I will need to put some things away to make the path through the place easier to walk through.
Back to the main house to rest. I will drive slower on purpose so I can see the changing of the tree leaves making an AUTUMN STATEMENT.
Thankful to still be alive, but believe I have to live differently as I age and slow down in this body. There is no need to be so intoxicated with the T RUMP indictments and court cases as much as I have been paying attention to lately. The courts will decide what to do with his cases. If he is convicted, then the voting public will have to decide if they want to cast their votes for him if he's on the ballot. That's if the case is tried before the elections.
Want to be blessed? Psalms 33:12-22 King James Version (KJV)
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.Hubby just came in the door returning from two body shops getting estimates on auto repairs for our Cruiser. If we turn this case into the insurance company, they will TOTAL the car and then they take the car from us as they want to get the older cars off the road. US Government is behind this wanting to get older cars out of the hands of your everyday person. We'd be without a second vehicle. A HARDSHIP for us to purchase another car at this time. When our completely paid off AVEO was rear ended by another driver, the insurance company totaled the car and took it from us leaving us to scramble to find a good used car putting us in a HARDSHIP then. Don't want a repeat. Hello somebody.
We will not turn this claim into our insurance company. For under $300 we can have work done on the car and KEEP THE CAR. It's mechanically sound and still runs safely. The headlights will be replaced and the body fixed to where it does not crimp the passenger door when it is opened. The car will have a few small pings in the body, but this will not stop us from having a second car.
He loaded the car with tubs so off we go to the storage unit to unload them and onto Manhattan for a medical appointment. I am beyond bless to have my Husband in my LIFE. May we have many more years together that are not so difficult.
