LORD HAVE MERCY. The KITCHEN is still above and beyond being a messy one, BUT (there's that BUT word) the tall metal rack is. in. place. Hallelujah. Looking forward to using the rack sooner than later.
Another round of cleaning the rack was done to where it sparkles. I began placing items on it where the chaos is being turned into order. A godly step toward making this place a HOME. My Hunny cleaned the rack to perfection.
He did a supreme job of cleaning the rack that has been stored in a garage or storage unit umpteen years. Like new now. Superb.
I HAVE TO HAVE THE KITCHEN MORE MANAGEABLE as of today, I had a cow. This morning as I was frantically wrapping boxes to mail my loved ones Valentine's gifts, I lost my cool.
The mess has driven me over a cliff. Patience is gone. I didn't have a parachute to help with the trip down. I have gone through so many moves that I should know the routine by now. This move however has been MORE of a challenge. I am about ready to pack an overnight bag and skip town. My nerves are shot.
Having health issues and being expected to function like a person without health issues is a different ballgame altogether. I have experienced how being older with health issues and down sizing and moving into a fixer upper has robbed my patience. Refresh me, LORD. Please.
The Valentine boxes made it to the Post Office in time to be mailed TODAY. This is a relief. It was a rush to make it happen. I lost my cool and feel badly about this.
The way my mind works, I should know better. Next year, I should have the cards and treats by FEBRUARY 1st ready to go and the packages soon packed. Takes the stress off. This trying to live like everything is already settled when it isn't has ran its course. I am beyond tired.
The month is getting away from me. One day closer to SPRING though and this is what I want. YESTERDAY, it was gorgeous outside as we had a FUNDAY. THIS WAS slow paced and relaxing. I'm leaning towards having more days like this than not.
My morning started out just about like every morning. As I sat typing, I figured out my day as to what I need to get done and what I'd like to get done. Hubby had a haircut appointment so I went to TOWN.
We arrived early enough that we treated ourselves to some green iced-tea. His haircut went quick. A very short cut on my Hunny's head. It'll grow back... and off to LUNCH we went. Hubby deserved his favorite meal of chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. I ate a spinach omelet with turkey substituting the potatoes with rye toast. Sipped on pineapple juice and water.
Instead of driving to the store, we walked around the corner to the GATHERING to see what they're selling. CLEARANCE allowed us to spend little on gourmet salsa. I picked up a wonderful bar of soap with a cotton linen fragrance and some white glazed birdies for love gifts.
The store does have an abundance of candles, soaps, tea towels with funny sayings on them, coffee mugs, artificial flowers and what nots.
Dropped by Hy-Vee Groceries for Salad Dressing. Left with bananas and radishes, Catalina dressing and Italian. I FORGOT to see if they sell Eternal Spring Water. Completely had a brain fog incident.
I had just read while in the car that I should eat a banana a day to help with lowering my blood pressure. I will give it a try. The potassium foods are necessary to combat high blood pressure.
DROVE ACROSS TOWN TO MARSHALLS.
MARSHALLS. This store reminds me of the late, great TUESDAY MORNING STORES that are no more in the area. They went bye-bye. Disappeared into the sunset. I miss them.
They have some sweet bunnies to sell and I could have spent more time looking at everything. I did splurge and bought 4 larger fridge storage bins with lids so I can continue getting the inside of my fridge looking STELLAR. I will get there one day and it will be a masterpiece if one calls an organized fridge a MASTERPIECE!
We needed to make a BANK stop on the way HOME and then paused at a small grocery store for chips and cereal. Mail stop and newspaper pick up.
The week-end is here. The VALENTINES are mailed and I will continue cleaning the KITCHEN. I am a broken record.
TIS SATURDAY and I think I can continue with this long drawn out task of getting the KITCHEN in order. The fridge bins that I bought will help with getting a ORGANIZED and tidy fridge for real. Me and my fridge have a thing going on. Something about having a neat fridge turns my crank.
I know that having my HOME tidy means a great deal to my sanity. I admit that I know this. Now to keep the peace and not blow my top again. I can tell that my patience is used up as I am losing my temper about once a week over this kerfuffle.
Now for some quiet time to collect my composure,
~d
