Spring On The Prairie
SPRING is in the air and on the calendar. What a beautiful SPRING DAY. Beautiful day. I am rejoicing that it is here. I needed a day out of the house. The chores are on hold and waiting for me to tend to them after I return from TOWN.
We drove across the dry PRAIRIE where the winds blew directly at me. Made driving difficult. I was running behind and nearly was in a car accident. Not sure where the car came from as I was switching lanes to pass another vehicle. Seriously, I think there are drivers who delight in being speed demons. Scary to me how FAST they come out of nowhere.
Since it is SPRING BREAK, Lil Miss and I went to have LUNCH with Daughter at the new McDonald's. We did witness a lady drive into the side of another vehicle as she didn't seem to want to stay at the stop sign. This collision caused the car that was heading towards us to swerve. We were safe. For some reason I had no surge of adrenaline pulse through my veins as I drove. A calm was present. Daughter said, "Thank you, Jesus."
Very modern interior as I sat and ate a Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich for $2 and sipped a cup of iced water. They have a play area, but children are to have socks. Lil Miss didn't and I told her that we'd go get a pair and come back for her to play.
Daughter went back to work and Lil Miss and I traveled to a Dollar store with no luck of buying socks. No socks at all. Perhaps I just missed the aisle where the clean bobby socks hang out. I purchased a few items that I normally buy and journeyed on over to Dollar General. There they had colorful socks that would work for a playground. Panda Bears were on my grand daughter's feet. For $3 I came away with a SPRING SHIRT for me. Tis time to buy some clothing.
We went to the ART MUSEUM. It has been years since I went there. I heard for the first time Lil Miss say she loved ART! The Museum is free and I honestly can say that I had a stirring in my soul to paint once again. I think this part of me has been asleep for years. We returned to the Play Area at McDonald's and I had my afternoon coffee as I sat to watch the children play.
Lil Miss told me she was hungry and wanted an ice cream cone. We left and went through the Drive Thru. As I was being handed the cones, the young lady at the window asked me if I wanted this strawberry coffee dessert...it was free. I said it must be my lucky day. We'd be picking Daughter up in an hour and she could have it.
We sat out in the Parking Lot and got a free car wash by the lawn sprinklers. We sat and chat with a Easter Kit that made into a dollar house with bunnies as characters. Like I was a KID again.
Then we met up with Daughter and I called it a day. Drove back HOME across the Prairie where the sky was powdered blue with whispy clouds and temperatures a mild 73 degrees. IT IS SPRING. BEAUTIFUL SPRING. What a blessed first day of SPRING. The car windows were rolled down as I went to the Post Office. HOME to unload the groceries and call it a day.
Noticed the flowers in the Flower Bed. Puts me in a good mood until I listened to the neighbor boys music that was permeating out of his house and I wondered if his folks know what he is playing for the whole world to hear. The words were vulgar.....**** Me Like You Hate Me. AND this is considered a money making business. Dear Lord, my mission field is right across the street. One of our close neighbors is a Pastor. Does he have his work cut out for him? I don't particularly want little ears to hear this vulgarity. If he keeps it up, it'll be me knocking on their door to visit with the folks.
73 degrees and smiling.
God bless you and may we all have a pleasant SPRING.
I need one,
d

DECORATING
I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."
John 3:7
“Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again.”
King James Version (KJV)
PSALM 118:17
I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.
PROVERBS 24:3-4
By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding
it is established;
through
knowledge
its rooms are filled with rare
and beautiful treasures.

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED
As long as I live, I will have to continually submit to God's plan for my life. You will be blessed because you turned your life over to God. Be confessing how good God is and tell Him you agree with who He says He is. BELIEVE and watch miracles happen. Be not afraid. ~Deanna

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES
NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
