THE WEEK-END was a full one. Time seems to slip away so quickly especially on the week-end that I must slow down and make memories. Eager to finish organizing the KITCHEN CABINETS, I work for a while and sit a lot. Work a while. Sit. Think. Rest. Mentally imagining where the items would go. I had a change of plans concerning the PANTRY.
The shelves didn't hold as much as the original pantry in the stair area. When I looked at the new pantry it didn't go well. So I moved all that I had already relocated to the shelves that were too high and small for a generous pantry area.
Back it all went. I redirected the bakeware/cookware into the upper shelves in the cabinet. In need of smaller vinyl lined miniature shelves to help with better use of space and storage, I went to some stores to look for them. Two Dollar General stores, Wal-Mart and Menards.
Menards had what I was looking for, but I had to question if these would be too deep to where they wouldn't fit inside the cabinet. Took a chance they would work. Held my breathe. Went HOME.
Sure enough the vinyl miniature shelving units fit inside the KITCHEN CABINETS. I arranged the bakeware/cookware items inside the cabinet. Made a sigh. A deep sigh of relief. Some order has manifested. Finally. Sunday evening cleaning came to a halt.
This was a long time in the making......hope to enjoy this arrangement now.
Onto other things more pending.
Found a place on the counter for metal bread box.
This new week I hope to finish hand washing my old Anchor Hocking glasses. I am tempted to sell them instead of using them. They are so old. Mid century to the here and now. Shall see. Have to get them off of the dining room table.
Hubby finished digging the flowerbed along the fence. About 84.6 feet of a flowerbed. Sweat and muscle. Determination and perseverance. On schedule. July digging. Iris buying. More digging into August on second flowerbed. Additional soil purchased to nourish the beds.
By mid August, I believe the Irises will have been planted and relocated. What a treat.
The present place where the Irises were will be cleared and grass seedlings planted when the weather begins to turn to cooler weather. So about September the grass will be planted and watered, watered, watered. The lawn will return.
