Waking early and determined to be successful in getting lots done, I got up, got groomed and dressed. Loaded myself up in the car and off I went. Rainy and cool, AUTUMN is behaving like WINTER.
HUBBY was HOME to greet the air duct cleaners. We'd waited a couple of years and finally booked them to clean our HOME's duct work. They needed the heat on and when Hubs made an appointment with them I thought it was too early in the year to have the heater on which would make the house so HOT, but we had a cold snap. Everything worked out.
FIRST I made my way to the THRIFT STORE and of course I hit it big by finding these pretty frilly glass dishes that match a couple I have at HOME.
They will be used to eat pretty salads out of. Delicate and adding charm to a salad meal for a group of LADIES or some other willing victim! We'll be styling as we eat.
I'm beginning to THINK more about CHRISTMAS. This beautiful season will be decorated with cheery colors on the tree. RETRO is what I'm calling it this year. This color grouping has never been used before on our large CHRISTMAS TREE. Something for a change big time. Looking forward to this.
I don't have to fear as Jesus is my Reason for the Season and why I can live a LIFE worth living.
NEXT CAME THE LAUNDRY!!!!!
The laundromat was empty. Not a soul in sight and so I had the pick of which ever machine I wanted. I loaded 4 machines and watched the weather on the television. Cold weather is on her way.
A woman at the laundromat said she heard the weather was going to be colder with snow. Finished up the four loads and went for an AUTUMN DRIVE.
Went for a leisurely drive and spied yellow irises in someones yard. These must have been double bloomers that I just learned about when Irises have two blooming cycles. We planted some just this Summer and look forward to them in 2020.
Library time. Quiet at the Library. Spent time looking thru some magazines and took time on the computer. Drove to the Park and parked the car so I could read. Thumbed through the newest cookbook I bought about Amish and Mennonite Cooking. Twas peaceful and very enjoyable.
By the time I went HOME, the duct work was complete. Mark this off the TO DO LIST. Knowing that colder weather is on her way, I needed to turn the heater on over at the Cottage. Hubby and I did this then had a meal at the local Mexican Restaurant. He had some work to do at WORK, so I played on a computer.
HOME at a late hour. A very full day for me.
I'll rest tomorrow and I did.

DAUGHTER'S PIE CRUST RECIPE
Pie Crust Recipe.
With her permission I share her recipe with you. BLESS your family, friends and your taste buds with this wonderful crust.
Pie Crust Recipe
1 cup flour
3 heaping tablespoons of shortening
A dash of salt
A tiny bit of ice cold water
Mix ingredients together well.
Roll out on wax paper.
Assemble pie.
Spread a little milk on top of crust before baking.
Simply delicious,
