SUNDAY AND A DRIVE

SUNDAY.  No Church for me today in a brick and mortar building nor on the internet.  The morning started out well.  Actually felt energized. Wanted to have a productive day.  I started the day by giving God thanks for the restful night, prayed for my family also giving thanks for much.

Menu for the day:  Breakfast was two hard boiled eggs with Hot tea.
Lunch was 2 cups organic Butternut Squash creamy Soup with a few croutons.  Water.
Snack was a Starbucks Steamer.
Supper...another Homemade Avo-Cobb-O Salad.

Tallying up my calories tonight, I knew I should have had a steamer made with almond milk. Next time I will.  There's lower calories with almond milk than with regular milk.  When I'm counting, lower calories are needed for losing weight.  This week I'll be aiming for low cal days.  8 weeks until I have my yearly physical blood work for labs.  I have hopes of dropping some more weight and having a good A1c and lower bad cholesterol numbers and higher good cholesterol numbers.

I feel like I'm in training for a big event.  A little nervous.  A little scared.  Deep breathes.  Deep, deep, deep breathes.

I was busy today and had no desire to sneak any snacks in which surprises me as I usually crave chocolate on days like today.

After going through another large cardboard box full of papers, I was ready to go straight to TARGET to get a few more storage boxes for old letters and cards that I want to keep for now. When I was at Target yesterday, I forgot to look at their front fastening brassieres.  Looked today and will have to go elsewhere for one.  I have never constructed and sewn a bra before.  Not sure I want to.  As slow as I am, it would take way too long to make and I have my hands full thinning out and getting more organized around here.  SO on a different day, I will have to go to Walmart.

Took the scenic route HOME listening to an old Kathy Mattea soundtrack about GOOD NEWS. This was my Church today. With the powder blue skies, the cold didn't bother me so much.  HOME we went, unloaded our spoils and rested.

I spent the afternoon taking my brothers letters he wrote to me out of the envelopes, dated the letter and then placed them in chronological order.  I read through some of the letters again and this time I had my composure.  I was able to tackle this.  When I get sheet protectors, I will place the letters in them and put them in a notebook.

Next, I went to the JUNK ROOM and worked at thinning out things that need to go elsewhere in the house or thrown away.  I shuffled some big brown recliners to where I could sit and go through a laundry basket full of guess what?  Pa A a a a pers.  This is awful to be so far behind. I'm further ahead than I was yesterday.  That's a good thing.  If I could I'd continue working on this room all night, but my body gave out on me.

Ate a salad and watched the television.  The evening was spent watching AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS and 1883.  Turned down popcorn.  I must be ill.

I believe I'm ready for this week.  The weather is suppose to be in the 50s!  I like the sound of that.  Lord willing, I will continue going through piles of paper, clearing out the JUNK ROOM, catching up on laundry, writing out my Valentine Cards and getting them in the mail.  I will focus on nutritiously dense low cal meals this week.  I can do this thing.  I can do this thing.  I can.  I have to talk to myself to encourage myself to eat less and lose weight.

Perhaps my menu for the day and week will be without meat getting my protein from eggs, seeds, nuts, legumes and cottage cheese.
Breakfast:  2 hard boiled eggs and HOT green tea.
Lunch:  A small bowl of oatmeal sprinkled with cinnamon, chopped walnuts and blueberries. Maybe a dollop of almond milk.
Afternoon Snack:  Fruit and mixed nuts.
Supper:  A large vegetable salad with black beans, nuts, chick peas and dressing.
Evening Snack: 2 cups of popcorn.
Water with each meal and throughout the day. Also Green Tea.
Vitamins, minerals and supplements:  1 tsp. Olive Oil,
Apple Cider Vinegar 250 mg after lunch,
CEYLON CINNAMON 2000 mg plus Chromax Chromium Picolinate 100 mg after lunch,
Ubiquinol CoQ10 50 mg after lunch,
Liposomal Vitamin C 1,000 mg after supper,
Liposomal Vitamin D3 5000 IU after supper,
ZINC plus Selenium after supper,
Vitamin B6 after supper,
Vitamin B12 after supper,
Collagen Peptides with Verisol (skin health) after snack.

*Need to take Vitamin B3 (Niacin) and garlic pills which are suppose to lower cholesterol.
*Just read that L-carnitine 2 grams lowers LDL levels and reduces oxidation for people with diabetes.

Here's to a blessed week,
~d

SUNDAY

MOST GRACIOUS Heavenly Father, Thank you for listening and helping me be a better person.  I am to lean on you.  Please help me to understand how you want me to live life. It is in Jesus's name that I pray.  I can come boldly into your throne room because Jesus is my savior.  Your mercies are new everyday.  You are love and want me to know you.  To know your ways.  To live a life that is pleasing to you.

IN JESUS NAME I PRAY,

AMEN

SUNDAY

Thankful it's SUNDAY.....a day of rest.
I so need it.  Am really tired.
The wind is howling and waiting on some snow
that the Weatherman said we should get.
Could sure use the moisture as we are in a drought.
There are more than one kind of drought.

I live in an age that if you share with some people
that you have had a supernatural encounter with God
you are looked at like you have 3 heads and are delusional.  Sad.

Do you get excited when someone shares with you
that they GOT SAVED!?
That God spoke to them in A DREAM!
That their heart GREW STRANGELY WARM
as they sat in Church and heard a godly message!

Want to share what I learned about the Author
Charles Dickens and a SUPERNATURAL ENCOUNTER.

Author CHARLES DICKENS SUPERNATURAL ENCOUNTER.....I just read Mario Murillo's blog. AND HE SAID: Did you know that Charles Dickens had a supernatural encounter? It happened after Dickens asked to see the worst part of London.

He was horrified to find feral children. Literally, they were wild animals and roamed the streets with no human to look after them in the bitter cold. Dickens vowed to use his considerable popularity as a writer to save these children.

He wrote a scathing tract entitled AN APPEAL ON BEHALF OF THE POOR MAN’S CHILD. He said that God dealt with him. “If you write the story it will affect but one generation, but if you write the story that I will give you it will touch endless generations. With that, he wrote, or rather wrote down the story that we all know as A CHRISTMAS CAROL: The story of Ebenezer Scrooge.

God has always given people original ways of countering evil.

As I sit here with my 3 heads on
and fan myself off as my heart has strangely warmed,
know that I believe in the LIVING GOD that loves me
and has a good plan for my life.
The God of the Universe knows my name
and the number of hairs on my head.
I have a personal relationship with Him
and can visit with Him about anything and everything.

Because Jesus is my Saviour,
I am His Daughter.
I am Family.
I am a Child of the Most High God.
A Child.

He desires a personal relationship with you.
Do you know Him?

 Merry Christmas!
Having a blessed life,
d

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
