If you ask me Thanksgiving Dinner without Dressing just isn't a satisfying Thanksgiving Dinner. I like Dressing, Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, Cream Style Corn, Green Bean Casserole, Dinner Roll with Butter, and a slice of Pumpkin Pie!!!
The first Thanksgiving Turkey I ever prepared was one to remember because I truly had no idea what I was doing. I was about 28 years old, a Wife and Homemaker with three children. My sister and her family were coming to our Omaha, Nebraska home back in 1983 or '84. By the time I took the turkey out of the oven, she looked beautiful. Picture perfect and if I had been blogging then, I would have blogged about it. Everything was on schedule and going well until I noticed something sticking out of the neck area.
I had stuffed the bird with dressing in the bottom half, but had no idea that the giblets were bagged in the neck. Had a big laugh over this.
These days, I really like the Baking Bags that you can bake your Turkeys in. Easy clean-up.
No Tofu Turkey for me.

DAUGHTER'S PIE CRUST RECIPE
Pie Crust Recipe.
With her permission I share her recipe with you. BLESS your family, friends and your taste buds with this wonderful crust.
Pie Crust Recipe
1 cup flour
3 heaping tablespoons of shortening
A dash of salt
A tiny bit of ice cold water
Mix ingredients together well.
Roll out on wax paper.
Assemble pie.
Spread a little milk on top of crust before baking.
Simply delicious,
