'Life Just Got A Little Easier' Easter Decorating

Keeping the decorating SIMPLE is easy enough to do.
Using what I had on hand was necessary.
PINK Easter grass on a metal tray
with a candle in the vase.
Plastic Easter eggs.

I didn't get ALL WORKED UP
over decorating for an April 1st EASTER.
Kept it light and lively.
Making LIFE a little easier.
Colorful and cheery makes me smile.

Making HOME a priority this EASTER,

EASTER Crock Pot Glazed Ham

SPRING ARRIVED.
Thank you, Lord.

I was beginning to think Spring wouldn't come.
THIS WINTER WEATHER has gone on and on.
Finally SPRING.

Easter will be here soon.
In just a few days.
A menu is going around in my head.
Thinking about deviled eggs.
One of my favorites at Easter,
Thanksgiving
and Family Reunions.

Typical menu with baked ham,
Hawaiian bread rolls with butter,
deviled eggs,
salad,
green bean casserole,
corn, carrots, mac and cheese,
mashed potatoes with ham gravy,
sweet potatoes,
a little chocolate on the side.
Brewed iced tea and coffee.

Semi-Homemade and mostly store bought Easter Dinner.

Striving for the easiest Easter Dinner I can put together this year.
Cooking Dinner for my divorce Son and Grandson.
Think our Easter Dinner will be on Saturday.
Will have to buy a Dessert.
Using Instant Potatoes this year.
Will buy Hawaiian Bread Rolls.
Green Beans on the shelf.
Mac 'n Cheese as well.
Gather up baking dishes and serving spoons.
Ham is in the freezer.
Will take out of freezer on Friday to thaw.
Will gather up ingredients for the easiest glaze I can come up with.
Will boil and peel eggs on Friday.  Store in baggie and finish making eggs Saturday morning.
Table cloth on the table.
Simple Centerpiece.
Set table.
Put Ham and glaze in crock pot early Saturday morning and slow cook.  New recipe.  Good luck.
Brew Tea and prepare Coffee.
Prepare mac 'n cheese, green beans, and corn.
Whip up instant potatoes and gravy.
Dinner rolls warmed.

Sounds good enough to eat,
d

Science Says

I say, you must have LOVE to flourish in this life.
LOVE.  God is LOVE.
Not just any God, but Almighty God,
 the true and living God.

I am a Christian that is a recovering word of faither.
That's a very long story how I was delivered.
Officially today, I am a born again, Bible believing, spirit filled Christian.
A child of the most high God.

Easter (Resurrection Sunday) means a great deal to me.
He (the Lord Jesus) is risen.
He (the Lord Jesus) is risen INDEED.

We can become the righteous of God and become a Saint when Jesus is our personal savior.
If He is your savior, if you've taken Him for your own...you can be filled with the Holy Spirit
and be sealed for the day of redemption.  You can become a child of the most high God yourself
and be heaven bound.  You can become a heir.  Begin to understand the things of God.
He (the Lord Jesus) is the only begotten son of Almighty God.
He (the Lord Jesus) is part of the HOLY TRINITY.
He was crucified, hung on a cross, gave up the ghost, died.
He took on the world's sin load when he died for our sins.
He is and was the LAMB of GOD.
He died on the cross, was buried in a borrowed tomb, and rose again.
He didn't stay dead...He is risen.
He ascended into heaven.
He (the Lord Jesus) now sits at the right hand (a place of authority) of God.
He is alive and well.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because of Him, I have HOPE.
I have eternal life.
Abundant Life today.

May you have a pleasant week full of BLESSINGS and peace.
A calm, relaxing week.
All the best to you,
d

MondayMonday

Woke to grey skies and rain.  I didn't hear the thunder storm early this morning.  Slept right through it.  The bed was warm and comfortable.  Went straight to work on the bills after getting up.  I have to wait an hour to eat after I take my morning meds.

That hour sometimes flies as I get busy.  This morning was no exception.  I had breakfast then continued the paperwork.  I have been following the military diet.  Today is day 7 for me.  I begin the stricter 3 day menu on Tuesday.  Think it will be easier for me this week.  I faithfully stayed on the strict 3 day meals.

The off days was a joy.  We ate well on the days off.

BACK TO THE GROCERY STORE.  Have to stock back up.  Think I'm ready for peanut butter on toast, 1/2 grapefruit and BLACK coffee for my breakfast.  I've got to have some blood drawn in the morning.   Fasting.  Then have breakfast.  Rest.  Need to do a few loads of laundry.

Think I will have a slow-paced day.  Some Easter cards will be filled out and put in the mail.  Which reminds me, I need to buy some stamps.

THINKING ABOUT IT:
Groom and dress.
Make bed.
Drink WATER.  Lots of it to hydrate self.
Always easier to get blood for blood drawn when hydrated.
Drive over to get some blood drawn.  Need to see where my TSH numbers are.
Drive back HOME.
Stamps bought.
Have breakfast.
Check the mail.
Some paperwork.
REST.
Lunch.
A few loads of laundry.
Work on Easter baskets for Grands.
Shuffle some furniture.
Grocery list written out.
Go to Grocery store.
Unload.
Supper fixed.
Table set.
Supper.
Cleanup.
Enuff done.

Should be a good day,

How To Slow Down

SOMETIMES we have to get ill to slow down.  Some are not good patients and continue to push too hard while sick when they should be resting at HOME in bed, drinking fluids and staying comfortable.

Stay At HOME Moms with young children don't always slow down.  Keep in motion anyways.  IN MOTION PEEPS are not limited to stay.at.home.mommas are they?  Not always women.  People in general that work in the public eye as well as behind closed doors sometimes keep burning the midnight oil when they shouldn't.

All kinds of people work with the public when hacking away with cough and a fever.  Coughing in the sleeve of a garment or into the elbow doesn't cut the mustard.  They say that they cannot afford to not be at work.  Still the public gets exposed to their germs with germs being exchanged back and forth.  Germs in the air.  Germs on the money.  Germs on the door handles.  Germs on toilets.  Germs on books, pens, phones, computer key boards, light switches.  Germs.

When we went to Guymon, Oklahoma to tend to details for my Father-in-law's funeral, the mortician sounded ill.  Bad cold.  He'd been battling pneumonia earlier in the winter.  He said usually you catch a cold when people are hacking and sneeze on you, but this year the doctor told him that these flu germs were just in the air.

Here's one for you.......

Have you ever wondered if people in high places spray germs into the atmosphere just to see how the germ strands affect people in certain zones so they can keep record of what germs did what so they can increase the intensity of the germs in other regions to see just how sick the peeps get to help kill off people to help depopulate the planet?

Chemtrails aren't real...or are they???  Sounds a bit like a conspiracy theory, doesn't it?...what if it's spot on?

What kind of people would do such a thing?  Wicked ones.  Evil ones.  Those that believe the earth needs depopulated to maintain the accurate number of humans per square footage for mother earth to stay balanced or what ever nonsense they promote.

Eugenics is an interesting topic.  Google.  One can go so far as to study up on who owns viruses and/or germs.  Patents.

Did David had multitude organ transplants aiming to live as long as he humanly could?  He passed away in March 2017

Guilty as charged.

Enufff said.

You have to make a conscious decision to slow down when ill.  Under the weather.  Even when you're not ill.  Taking God seriously and following through when he says to rest one day a week makes for a healthier person.  How many times do you over extend yourself on the week-end when you should be unwinding.  Relaxing.  No shopping.  No sports events or practices.  On the go, go, go.  Not traveling.  Staying at HOME resting.  Taking it easy so your body and mind can rest up.

Ways to slow down.  Lighten the load.  Use paper products for the meals and snacks so washing dishes gets a break.  Eat sandwiches or crock meals.  Shopping already finished.  You get a break.  Have the laundry caught up before the day of rest.  Phone takes messages.  Only return emergency calls.  Lifestyle changes for life.  Just do it.

Be it ever so humble there's no place like HOME,

Fresh sheets on the bed.
Working on fixing Easter baskets.

Easter Baskets in the mail on Monday

Good Friday next Friday.
Passover Saturday.
Resurrection Sunday!

SO Glad It's Friday.com

TODAY I ordered a fruit parfait from McDonalds and enjoyed every bite.  This is day four for me on the Military Diet.  I wonder if I can stay on this.  It's been very challenging.  I have experienced hunger pains that aren't comfortable.  Hunger pains.  It is a habit for me to eat when hungry.  Drinking water instead is challenging.  Today I was allowed snacks.  I did.  12 oz. latte without whipped cream is a snack I enjoyed very much.

https://www.nutritionvalue.org/McDONALD%27S%2C_Fruit_%27n_Yogurt_Parfait_%28without_granola%29_nutritional_value.html

Drove across the county line to check up on the cottage, fuel the car, pick up a few things from Dollar General, and drop off ingredients for slime with daughter.  Had Lunch.  Turkey sandwich and pear.  More water to drink.

Drove back HOME for a HOME TOWN LATTE, but the wonderful coffee shop was closed already.  That did it.  I went ahead and drove over to Manhattan for a Starbucks.  Delicious 12 oz.

Similar Aldi building like Manhattan's.

Went shopping at ALDI's.  They have remodeled and the store is very nice.  Enjoyable shopping experience, but I overheated and needed to seat down.  I shopped as fast as I could, checked out and sat in the car with a fan blowing on me.

Shaky.  Not a good feeling.  Hubby met up with me and followed me HOME.  I rested once I got HOME.

Not sure what happened...if I didn't eat enough for the day or what.

STILL SO HAPPY it is Friday!  Made Chili Cheese Potatoes for supper.  Water to drink.  I started using MyFitnessPal.com  About a year ago, my doctor told me about it.  I didn't follow through with using it.  THIS SPRING I decided that I would use it to help me with keeping track of what I am eating with a calorie count.  Pretty neat .com.  Free.

Happy it's FRIDAY....happy it's the week-end.
Saturday, here we come.

Will be making HOME a priority,

'Life Just Got A Little Easier' Deviled Eggs

  • ~Deviled Eggs~

DEVILED EGGS

Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with enough water that there's 1 1/2 inches of water above the eggs.

Heat on high until water begins to boil, then cover, turn the heat to low, and cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and leave covered for 14 minutes, then rinse under cold water continuously for 1 minute.
Crack egg shells and carefully peel under cool running water.
Gently dry with paper towels.
Slice the eggs in half lengthwise, removing yolks to a medium bowl, and placing the whites on a serving platter.
Mash the yolks into a fine crumble using a fork.
Add salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar, mustard, mayonnaise and mix well.
Evenly disperse heaping teaspoons of the yolk mixture into the egg whites.  Yolk mixture can be placed in frosting bag as well then squeezed into whites.
Sprinkle with paprika and serve.

SPRING Is A Treasure and A Gift Shoppe!

A very full day as we had to tag an auto in a different town.  First came breakfast in the kitchen.  I started a three day diet on the first day of SPRING that will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Three days on then four days off then three days on.  I hope I will be able to stick with it.  Discipline.  Staying faithful to the simple menus won't be the hard part.  It's the hunger pains that kick in about an hour after eating.  A chemical reaction takes place and I can feel it taking place.

I usually go for hours without eating and have no difficulty not eating.  That uncomfortable feeling that comes to my body when I'm dieting is one feeling I dislike.  It's doable, but not likable.  I can feel the effects as they take place.  There's worse sensations to experience, but this is noticeable.  I will have to talk to myself to stay faithful.  I CAN DO THIS.

An hour after I ate...sad to say, I was hungry.  We took care of tagging the car then went on over to Frankfort.  I ate my lunch in the car.  Hubby grabbed a hamburger at HIGHWAY 9 Pizza and Grill.

I drank a cup of black coffee as he munched down.  I did alright watching him eat.  Gulp.  We talked.  Talked.  Talked.  Tummies full.  Well sorta.  The coffee helps.

AFTER LUNCH,  I wanted to look around a nice gift shop.  Elsie Grace's.  One of the nicest gift shops in the area.  I didn't even look at the FUDGE.  Not today.  Thank you.

Remembering it was Tuesday
and Marysville has a free 5 o'clock movie at the Astro 3,
we drove over to watch the free movie.

First you go through HOME, KANSAS.

In HOME, KANSAS
we stopped off at a neat gift shop in a beautifully painted old church.

~FAMILY HOME TREASURES~
We stopped and shopped.

We drove on into Marysville.
Innocently I had not heard of the movie that was playing.
I drank water and skipped the popcorn.

We watched close to an hour of the movie and walked out.
I have only walked out of about three movies in my life.  I won't mention the name of this show, but think I need to read about the shows first before spending time watching.

DROVE HOME.
Ate a nice Supper then relaxed by watching
THE FLAME TREES OF THIKA.

Hayley Mills starred in this television series back in 1981.
Wish a remake would happen.

Much better to watch FLAME TREES then the free movie we walked out on that was nominated for an academy award.
My times have changed and I can pat myself on my back for walking out by taking a stand by not watching the garbage HOLLYWOOD wants to pass off as entertainment.

The first day of Spring 2018
was busy and it was good to get out of the house.
Tomorrow I will return to the task of getting the family pictures
dealt with and hopefully tidying up around my easy chair.

Glad it's SPRING.
Waiting for this day to come wasn't so easy,
d

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
