| LORD, help. This is getting on my nerves. |
STAYED UP BINGE WATCHING A THRILLING TELEVISION SERIES, FOOL ME ONCE. I fell asleep on the sofa so when I did wake to go to bed, I was wide awake. Oops. Hubby and I talked some. I confessed, the messy house is getting on my nerves in a bad way. Irritated and dissatisfied that I can not work FAST enough getting the COTTAGE tidied. It is taking way too long. My patience is gone.
BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD. Rest a bit. Allow myself time to work through this whole moving thing. Trying to figure where everything is to go is overwhelming. I am beginning to burn out. PAUSE. I will rest some and go on from there. The big picture is a finished place. I'm not there yet.
SNOW WOULD FALL during the night hours.
Slept and when I woke for the morning I was in a better mood. It had snowed so I woke to a WINTER WONDERLAND where birds are dining at the hanging bird feeder outside the KITCHEN window by the sink. All the beautiful snow makes for a pretty picture.
They quickly eat the bird seed in this bitter cold weather. A few Sparrows and Cardinals visit. The Cardinals stay longer sitting on the feeder than the other birds. This morning some of the birds were aggressive with one another wanting to take domain. When they see me through the glass window, they generally fly away. It may take some time to get use to humans being so close to them before they stay awhile at the feeder.
IT IS A SNOW DAY. ON THE HOUSEKEEPING PART OF BEING A HOMEMAKER, I finished wiping with white vinegar my Mother's dishes that she gave me. Next they are washed in hot soapy water, rinsed and dried. 74 pieces to deal with. I took inventory and will type it up so I can place the info in a HOME BINDER.
White vinegar does such a good job at cleaning excess dirt that has settled on dishes for years. I used cotton balls and organic cotton rounds with the vinegar to wipe the dirt away. Then I hand washed the dishes so they are squeaking with cleanliness. The dishes will be stored in the bottom of my Grandma's HUTCH/Sideboard.
Mom divided her dish set between me and my sister probably 5 years ago. They are Franciscan Desert Rose stoneware dishes. At 68, I find them charming and they have grown on me. Handling one piece at a time, I've come to admire the pretty hand painted flowers on each piece. I don't remember MOM ever using these dishes. They stayed in her China Cabinet as if they were being held in reserve for an event that never would take place.
USE YOUR CHINA, lovelies.
Use your crystal. Use the pretty dishes. The event that is going to take place is called LIFE. This is the day that we should enjoy. I will eventually get to the last box and things will be placed in their new location. It might be here or it might be in someone else's HOME. Either way, this COTTAGE will be fixed up and we will live here as best we can. I will calm down.
