AWE SHUCKS...I iz tired. I had to get around this morning by shaving my hairy legs and take a shower. Managing to get dressed and out the door for a medical appointment, I didn't eat BREAKFAST so it was truly an intermittent fasting morning.
Having waited two months to get in to see this new Dermatologist, I was relieved the day was finally here. I slept well last night considering I have a head cold all stuffed up. Miserable with already having gynecologist issues. On the other hand, it was really nice to venture out and get out of the house for a few hours.
Checked in early for the appointment. The nurse walked me to the exam room in their state of the art building and asked the basic questions about why was I there.
When it came to undressing for the encounter, everything was to be taken off but the mask! ha. Shoes as well. A beautiful blue garment was given to me to cover myself up leaving the back untied. I felt like I did well not being nervous as I was stark naked wrapped in one of those gorgeous exam dresses. Kind of odd as I usually do get nervous seeing a doctor. The Dermatologist is so young, but was thorough and pleasant. She looked me over and said she could tell I took care of my skin. Okay.
There is a place under my right eye where the pigment has changed right along the edge of the lid. She said she needed a biopsy of this. Took me by surprise. So she numbed it which smarted and shaved a small amount of skin for a path. I'll know something in a week. If it is cancer then I will cross that bridge when I get there.
The biopsy place is sore tonight and every time I blink it feels like the shot she gave me to numb the area all over again. Vaseline it. Keep it dry. And wait a week.
With a head cold, tender eye lid and female issues, I'm tired and in a weakened state. I wish my mom had told me there'd be days like this. This too shall pass.
After we left this state of the art building, I chatted with my husband about the appointment. It is never good to hear that something might be cancer. We passed a DILLON's Grocery store that has a STARBUCKS so we stopped and grabbed some egg bits and tea sitting in their small dining area, we visited about our day and what we needed to get done. While at the store, I wanted to look for some vanilla in a glass a jar. They had some. The less plastic the better.
WHEN IT COMES TO PLASTIC CONTAINERS, I will be on the war path to avoid PLASTIC as much as I can because of XENOESTROGENS that cause HEALTH ISSUES and I have plenty of those. The xenoestrogens leech into foods and beverages inside the plastic container. The xenos mimic estrogen and the body takes it on thinking it's estrogen it needs. I do believe that a lot of pregnant women carrying boys were over exposed to xenoestrogens and yes, it affected the baby into being more effeminate. This is my opinion. I can still have those.
With the female species xenoestrogens cause fibroid tumors and reproduction issues. Both sexes are affected in a negative way by having too much estrogen in the bodies becoming estrogen dominant. Hormonal imbalances cause all kinds of havoc in the human body...where do we begin?
It doesn't stop with plastics alone, but also by the overload of chemicals in the world we live. Growth hormones in the foods we eat causes harmful effects as do the chemicals in soaps and shampoos, cosmetics, cleaning supplies.
Going as natural as I can. THIS IS AN ADVENTURE.
The world I grew up in had no warnings about XENOESTROGENS. It was plastic this and plastic that and how wonderful it is.
Boy, have things changed.
Hubby and I went to a Mexican Restaurant for LUNCH. TACO TUESDAY.
GOD's STOREHOUSE was on the agenda for THRIFT. I bought a heart shaped wreath and a cute patriotic handbag. That was it.
Needing to drop off a test results paper at my Endocrinologist office pertaining to high TSH, we made our way across town. Upping my thyroid dose of meds. Not sure why my numbers are so high, but seriously know they have to come down. It seems to take so long to lower the numbers.
Before I took my last TSH blood test, I stopped taking biotin 3 days before the lab because biotin can give you a false reading. In other words you might think your TSH is at a great place when in reality you are actually in a bad place because the biotin messed your test numbers up.
I believe I have been getting false readings over the years thinking I was medicated at the correct dosage. I have never deliberately stopped taking my vitamins before a TSH test until this one as QUEST DIAGNOSTICS requested and instructed me to do. I will be retested in three weeks to see how I'm doing. Hope it's better. I will again stop taking biotin 72 hours before labs and fast 12 to 14 hours the night before. Labs will be taken early in the morning before taking morning dose of meds and before eating breakfast.
If I can get the numbers where they need to belong perhaps I won't be under-medicated anymore thinking I'm in the correct range for thyroid health. Maybe my hair will stop falling out so badly and my nails won't be as brittle and I will not have abnormal bleeding. This is a surprise. Being hypothyroid is the pits. Perhaps the dieting I am doing will begin to actually help with losing the unwanted weight.
It's frustrating when thinking I'm taking the correct dosage, but in reality the test results have given a false positive. Perhaps my energy level will actually climb and all the icky feelings will be gone because I will be medicated to the true OPTIMAL RANGE that I should have been in the last 13 years. I won't know how to behave.

Afterwards we went to Home Depot for a few plumbing items. Then went to the COTTAGE to pick up a few tools to take to the main house for a different project. I took the crystal I had placed in one curio and placed it in the other one in a different room. As I figure where to place boxes in the COTTAGE, I have to morph things about a bit. In motion commotion.
HOME we went and I was too tired to fix supper. Subway meal instead. I am beyond tired.
WEDNESDAY is mid week and I will continue to pack boxes, rest and read. I have got to address the Valentine cards and mail. Best to plan way ahead at the pace I'm going.
I'm glad the day is over.
