A finished KITCHEN is in my FUTURE! Keeping my eye on the gold. This week-end we'll be all of about an inch closer to this finish line. We will be closer. I'm getting FAT waiting for this to come to pass.
Today I took it relatively easy. Stayed in my HOUSECOAT of all things. Even soaked in the tub. I shaved my legs for this.
Being that it's the FIRST DAY OF SUMMER the air conditioner was turned on along with some fans to circulate the cooler air. Tried to take a nap. No such luck. Didn't go get the mail either. Our POWER went off for just a split second. Just long enough to make the fridge beep when the power came back on.
I am a fan of electricity and all that we can do with it.
Back in March I thought the month would never end...April and May have passed and now it's SUMMER.
My week went so fast. I didn't get everything done that I had hoped I would, but will forge ahead. Next week hubby and I both will be visiting with an Endocrinologist. Hubby has a goiter and I have to have my 6 month physical. Not looking forward to this. Not at all. Will get through it and then see where to go with the information.
Do any of you out there have suggestions on how to shrink a goiter?
Hamburgers and chips for our Friday Night Supper. Being honest here, I could of made a meal out of the chips alone. Potato Chips are one of my favorite foods. Oh the shame of it all. Had my diet Root Beer and called it good.
I have been gathering info up about Flo V. Menninger's Bible Study that was bequeathed by her family to the YWCA. Have you ever wondered what life must have been like a hundred years ago or more? How the American Housewife spent her days and if she was interested in the Spiritual Growth of her growing Family?
I was checking out Topeka's YWCA page and know that it stands for Young Women's CHRISTIAN Association. But somewhere along the way, I think CHRIST has been removed from the YWCA. They seem to be another women's organization doing things on their own power these days. Hum. Something very important has been removed from the Y.
They seem to like to shorten the name of the organization to the Y or YW.
Originally Prayer Groups were attended in Ladies' Homes and prayers for young women were prayed. I suppose we could do this now if we so desired.
One of the blessings in our country that we still can do is to PRAY.
In our HOMES.
The govt. has no right...right now to stop us from saying SILENT prayers in public. At this point in time, how will they know that you are praying inside of your head? If you choose to just start praying out loud while shopping...you can. I pray all the time while shopping and driving my car.
I'm praying that my husband's goiter shrinks or disappears.
I'm praying that my Kitchen get completed soon.
I'm praying for my country.
I'm praying that my house be in order.
I'm praying for....and it continues.
