HAIR APPOINTMENT THIS MORNING. Want the ends layered. May it turn out! I seldom go to the hair stylist. In my old body, I think I would like to go once a week for a shampoo and a style. Perhaps a BLOW OUT.
Maybe I'll do that for awhile until we are done with the main house and more settled in the COTTAGE. That would be a boost for my soul. Manhattan has a couple of schools that I have used before for waxing my chin and hair styling. It's been years though. I need to play with my hair and practice with a iron to get that straight or curled look.
I do recall the time I was sitting in the school lobby waiting for my stylist. As I thumbed through magazines, the receptionist was dealing with a customer in which her birthday came up. The receptionist squealed and told the customer that's my birthday also. I said, "Excuse me did you say your birthday was JULY 14th?"
Both said yes. JULY 14th is my birthday as well! How odd that three people in one small lobby all had the same birthday. That has never happened to me ever. Balloons and confetti should have fallen from the ceiling and someone walk into the room with oversized checks for each of us. A million dollars would have been nice, huh? grins.
You're a winner!!!
I don't suppose this will ever happen again. It was a neat experience.
I have what I would call THYROID HAIR. Since having my thyroid removed in 2010, my hair has changed TEXTURE. It's not very manageable these days. This is why I should go to the local stylist for HELP! Help me. I'm in trouble. I'd like to look more presentable as a almost 70 year old WOman.
I can make more appointments. I'd like to have a manicure, a pedicure and a massage. There's a place just down the street that provides these services. Very nice facility in a nice neighborhood.
I have found a business in Manhattan that has a sauna. I'd like to try this out. THE HAPPY HIPPY in Aggieville. They specialize in more organic foods. Smoothies and Acai Bowls. This is a neat place to visit knowing healthier foods are served.

I suppose I should reach out toward fruits and vegetables I'm not use to having. Getting more adventurous at my age will add some interest and perhaps better health. I have suffered some and believe that I need to pay more attention to GOD's WORD about food and drink.
I'd like to start there.
FOOD DOES NOT provide salvation for our souls/spirits, but it does matter what we eat and how foods are prepared for healthy living while we are on planet earth. SO in a way, it is salvation for our health.
Years ago, I started with avoiding SOY PRODUCTS.
Then high fructose corn syrup went to the wayside. HFCS was in so much of what I ate. I believe this contributes to OBESITY.
Spring WATER to drink. I need to bump this up to a GALLON OF WATER A DAY. Gallon = 16 cups or 128 ounces. About 8 bottles of water. Taking a few Celtic salt crystals before drinking water is suppose to help with health. Celtic salt has 91 minerals in it that we need. Sounds like a lot of water doesn't it. I will start low and work up to 16 cups a day.
I have learned that we should not drink beverages when we eat a meal as it waters down the acid in our stomach that is needed to digest the food. Wait 30 minutes to an hour after eating to drink beverages. Can I do this? I'll have to try to see if I can.
NEXT came spring water, organic vegetables and fruits, grass-fed meats, munching on nuts, more legumes, healthy fats, less sugar, less grain foods, less dairy. Working on portion control and what time of day to eat. Eye balling the contents on the labels of supplements and medicine taken.
I watched a video about how to lose weight by Dr. Barbara O'Neill. She shared about substituting wheat with other foods as the starch content of present day wheat is starchier than ever. When you eat it, it causes a blood glucose spike higher than when you eat SUGAR. That's awful.
Surfing FACEBOOK late last night led me to come across one of the teacher's I was an assistant to many moons ago. She looked wonderful. She'd lost an enormous amount of weight. She did a program where you eat one fruit a day for sure. Drink a gallon of water each day. Walks. Rest. Keeps a journal. This was an inspiration to me.
AUSSIE BARB (Barbara O'Neill) says to walk early in the morning as exercising then is the best time of the day to exercise. She explained why. I would butcher this up if I tried to explain it. I believe she knows what she's talking about. A walkin' I will go...in the early mornings...after I get moved.
Canadian Dr. Jordan Peterson says that corn is cheap so the farmers/ranchers/fedlots feed corn to cows to fatten them up. Because they are suppose to eat grass, corn makes them sick, so they are given antibiotics to combat the illness. When we eat the beef from these cows, it causes us to be antibiotic resistant.
Instead of doctors telling us to not eat corn-fed cattle that get antibiotics, as patients we are deprived antibiotics so we do not become antibiotic resistant. hum. The shoe is on the wrong foot. Better to eat beef that has not been corn-fed and given antibiotics.
Are we getting SICK because of what we are eating and how the produce is raised? Me thinks so.
Forever FRIDAYs are my favorite day of the week.
Tis Friday,
