Heard that saying, "Don't get your panties in a wad!"

I try really hard not to, but some days are better than others....grins.

When I put my undies and bra on in the mornings, it takes me all of about two minutes of time.

Victorian Ladies might have taken a hour to get dressed in underwear plus their day clothing.  Not bragging, but if I hurry, it takes me all of about 5 minutes to get dressed for the day.  Though my casual clothing is nothing as delicate and formal as a Victorian Lady's Clothing, I think if I did DRESS UP as they did, I'd still be trying to streamline the amount of time it took to get it all together. 

At any rate, this Undies Display was interesting to see in person.

Once again I'm at the Hawken House in Missouri.

I like the soft whites, ecru, and eggshell colors that were used and have aged very nicely.

God has seen fit that I live life in this time period now....still I admire the delicate items that were created many moons ago,

Hawken House Guest Room and Upstairs Hallway

The final Bedroom to share of the 1857 Hawken House

is the beautiful GUEST ROOM that I think most would find comfortable and cozy.

Docent Molly's favorite room and I can see why.

Think I could just move right in and call her HOME.

I mustn't forget the upstairs Hallway.  A lot of walking about had to have taken place in these Hallways.......

Hawken House Master Bedroom

 ~MASTER BEDROOM~

The Historical 1857 Hawken House 

located in Webster Groves, Missouri near Saint Louis 

has a lovely decorated Master Bedroom on the second story.

With comfortable bed covered with hand knitted bed covering to night stands, lamps, heart warming fireplace, massive wardrobe, framed artwork hanging on the wall, at the foot of the bed woven bedding on wood storage trunk, baby crib, flowered wallpaper on walls,  personal artifacts and closet for stylish period clothing.

 

 

 

 

 Glad that I was allowed to take photos (without flash mind you) of this lovely old home that the public is permitted to tour.  Seeing the decorated rooms full of color adds some zest to my 'ole heart that loves seeing first hand how a room might have actually been arranged and lived in once upon a time.
