The day was lovely....a precursor to what spring will be like. 75 degrees, blue skies, gentle breeze, birds chirping and no need to hurry. I opened the Family room window to let January air into the home. Locked the storm door...cracked opened the front door. Pleasant and serene. God is good.
A new issue of VICTORIAN HOMES was waiting for me at the Post Office. Got a kick out of receiving it. I do have an addiction to interior decorating magazines. I seem to like most everything that pertains to making a HOME a home. Dishes, furniture, bedding, etc. catch my fancy and i luvs it i do.
Starting on page 58, this particular issue has an article about The Insiders Guide To DOWNTON ABBEY DECOR. I have not tuned the television in to watch Downton Abbey, since we do not receive PBS, but could watch the series on the computer. Perhaps today I can tune in and watch. When the series goes on DVD, I will for sure purchase it. Aren't DVDs nice!
I am out of the Loop.
Speaking of being out of the loop....I did not know that there was a DUTCH QUEEN Beatrix.......period. She's almost 75 and will be abdicating April 30, 2014. How's that for a heads up on what to expect. Her Crown Prince Willem-Alexander is stepping up to the responsibility.
Last night my Daughter and I shared a Taco Salad at the Grill and chatted with the Seraphina Singers. We get together several times a year to catch up on what's happening in our lives.
Ones Son had a surprise wedding, another had a new Grand baby that she helped deliver, another is taking in elderly people to take care of, one is downsizing making plans to move on with life and then there's me. I always seem to be living in amongst a remodeling project that takes too long to complete.
I learned that one local Lady's husband committed suicide and she claims to be a wiccan. I wasn't aware she's practicing witchcraft. This town may be small, but it is a missions field. If the Lord will arrange for me to visit with her, I will.
The Christian walk does not have to be boring. God can make it full of excitement and interesting.
Another woman has left her husband to pursue a romance with a former High School Boyfriend. Sad. She has 6 children and decided to leave her Christian Husband for somebody else. Where does this leave the children and the forsaken Husband?
Life can be active even in a little town on the Prairie.
I never run out of things to do.
Speaking of things to do.....laundry is running in my electrified washing machine that I love owning. Daughter talks about getting a wringer washer. I once wanted one....but after watching a video about using these, my fantasy faded and I came back to my senses.
Grandma had one. Once she allowed me to help her do laundry and when my fingers went through the wringer part, it smarted. HURT. I think sometimes we wish life were simpler and not so complicated. The way things were done once seems appealing. Less hectic.
Still we can have a less hectic life and enjoy modern appliances that ease physical burden. These conveniences allow more time to do the things that we enjoy doing....like looking through a favorite magazine, blogging, or eating Tacos with friends.
I love my washer and dryer. Glad to have them and all the wonderful appliances that I do in the year 2013.
2013. February is coming. Valentines and HEARTS. Cupcakes! Look at this neat thing that you can do with doilies. Gonna soooo do this. Cupcakes with frilly wrappers would be a delicate treat.

Many will argue and discuss as to the technique
that is used to Baptize.
Dunking, Sprinkling, Pouring water.
All be it...it is the Spirit of God that does the Spiritual Baptism.
The outer appearance of water Baptism is important and symbolic. Full of meaning.
The internal baptism that takes place when one embraces God's mercy and rightful relationship with Him through Christ Jesus is ETERNAL.
So if you've been sprinkled, dunked or had water poured over your head.....what truly matters is that you are born again with the BELIEVER's Baptism.
Let the little children come.......Jesus Loves you.
He said it himself, "Let the little children come."
Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, Suffer (allow) little children, and forbid them not,
to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven.
God's goodness and loving kindness are found
in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let the little children come and let adults come as well.
People of all ages can become a child of God through God's redemptive power when salvation occurs through accepting Jesus as ones personal Saviour.
