Starting the month of JUNE off with a crockpot COFFEE POT ROAST.
I marinaded the roast over night in white vinegar. This morning I poured Extra Virgin Olive Oil into the crockpot and turned it on HIGH. Chopped up a large white onion to cook for an hour in crockpot before putting the roast in. After the roast cooks for an hour in the onion mix, I poured 2 strong cups of coffee in the pot so the roast could marinade in this HAPPY LIQUID. After an hour in the HAPPY LIQUID, I poured enough filtered water to cover the roast. NOW for the cooking all afternoon. SLOW cooking fan.
I'll add carrots and potatoes around 3 pm. Think I'll cook for 4 more hours. A late supper at 7. LOVERLEE.
JUNE BIRTHDAYS. Family Birthdays are Sister's 67th, Son's 45th, Brother's 69th, Sis n law's, 2 brother n law's and a nephew's. Better get the cards ready to mail. As slow as I am, I need all the help I can get by pacing myself.
My month PLANS will be working in the JUNK ROOM making some sense out of this chaos. Difficult thing to accomplish when moving so slow. God be with me. Amen.
I learned about Huguette Clark's Doll Collection. I was not aware of this women and all of the mystery she surrounded herself with. What a beautiful collection she had.
ALSO, it's Marilyn Monroe's birthday.
Looks good for being 94.
HUBBY took our good car to the Mechanics this afternoon.
It seems the PACKRAT did more damage than I care to talk about. Will hit us in the pocket book kind of hard. Cheaper than an different car.
This retirement thing has been eye opening.
Started out 2020 being sick sick sick.
Then there was sewage back up in the basement.
Cha-ching...plumber.
Then the motor went out on the heater. Cha-ching...heater techie.
A death in the family.
Coronavirus hit the country and we have a lock down with adjusting to a new norm.
Rioting and destruction about the country.
Packrat damages our good car...cha-ching.
