On A Cold Evening In Kansas

TUESDAY and no shower.  I had to sponge bathe because the sewer backed up in the basement and until the plumber could come work on the line, no flushing the toilets or running water.  By 4 in the afternoon, we had a working sewer.  It was a joyous occasion to flush the toilet!  

Decided to go to the FREE movie in Marysville, Kansas at the ASTRO3 Theatre.  About an hours drive from HOME.  It was a spontaneous decision to go.  With being ill close to two weeks, I was ready for some time out of the house.  Cold weather didn't stop us.  The roads weren't busy and we entered the Theatre just a few minutes after the movie started.  Buttered popcorn and rootbeer were our treat.

'JUDY'

Renee Zellweger did an exceptional impersonation of the late JUDY GARLAND.  Enjoyed the movie.  

I missed it when it first came to the theatre in September.  I had wanted to see it.  Missed it at the local theatre so when I saw it advertised at ASTRO3 as their free Tuesday movie, I thought this would be a good outing.  It was.

The movie was good with refreshments tasting great.  Afterwards we went for a drive and went past the Mexican Restaurant and guess who loves Mexican food?  We ate alone in the mansion in which the restaurant resides.

Miss You

She's off to an Oklahoma adventure.  

We gathered for a evening together to have fellowship, 

eat and say Good-bye.

Our singing practices were always a time to share.

We did.

Grand-babies being born, birthdays celebrated, children's divorces,

race for Kansas Governor, broken marriage coming back to life, Thyroid cancer, Breast cancer, face lift, downsizing, death of Parent, death of friends, children's weddings, house hunting, 

Christmas parties, God talk, recipes shared, sage advice, 
tears, lots of laughs, the list goes on.

We have sang together for 7 years...is that possible?

One of us is out the door.
