Lovely Summer Days

Beloved, The Lovely Days of Summer will soon be coming to an end with a cooler Autumn in the Fall.  I'm hoping for a  l o n g  INDIAN SUMMER with the weather being milder and easier to handle before the snow blows in Kansas.  The windows can be opened to allow fresh air into HOME HAVEN.  The utilities will be cut back until the radiators need to be turned on for warmth.


The evenings will begin to get darker sooner.....I'll miss the Summer staying lighter outside for longer hours. 

 I woke this morning to the sound of a BUZZING chain saw.  After Lil Miss woke up and I was sipping a nice cup of delicious coffee, the chain saw continued.  It was the city cutting large branches off of the trees that sit near the streets.

The men doing this task were very good about cleaning up after themselves, but when they moved to the side yard where my daughter's car was parked in the street....I rushed outside to move the car.  I would have appreciated a word of notification that they were going to clear out branches so I could be sure to have the car in a safe location away from falling branches.

With the week-end coming I would like to get started on some DEEP CLEANING of the rooms of our Home before Autumn starts.

I'd like to DEEP CLEAN the front Parlor.  It's been awhile since I did this.  Need to sweep and polish the wood floor.  The window sheers need washed, dried and rehung after the windows are washed.  The upholstered furniture needs vacuumed and the wood furniture dusted and oiled.  Wipe down the radiator.  When the Family room walls were being repaired, the plaster dust made its way into the front Parlor.

After I get caught up on this chore of HOME BLESSING, I'll move onto painting sizing on the Family room walls that are already primed.  Hubby and I went out for a date last night and am pretty sure we know what color we will be painting the wallpaper in that room.  DUTCH BOY will get the job done.  BUT FIRST I will have to paper the room.  This is taking a long time to get completed. 

OH HAPPY DAY when this Family room is completed.  Last week-end beaded board was attached to one of the walls where Family pictures will hang and a book shelf built in!  I can imagine the finished room.  IMAGINE THAT!!!  There is still some board that will go up hopefully this week-end.

My 84 year old Dad had a rough Monday which affected my Mom as well.  Dad thought he was dying.  Ambulance came and took him to the Hospital.  He spent the night there.  Test ran and all vital signs were good.  Other test are being ran this week.  May be his heart.  Not sure.  Appreciate prayers.  Also, my Brother-in-Law Hank that had eye surgery may be getting his artificial eye on Friday.  Appreciate your prayers that you lifted up on his behalf.  On a good note, my husband's blood sugar readings have been excellent!  In fact the readings went down which the doctor says doesn't happen......prayer and extra virgin olive oil and being careful what he eats has had a POSITIVE effect on his diabetes.

I take prayer request.  I pray for real.
