CANDY BARS AND CRACK

🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

MONDAY.  I WOKE UP WITH TERRIBLY DRY EYES.
This is something I've noticed after having too much sugar the day before.  AND I DID have way too much sugar the day before.  Not a good thing to have.  Sugar is addictive and does awful things to the body especially when eating too much.

 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

I had some miniature candy bars as I sampled our HALLOWEEN STASH purchased from SAMs and Hubby made a graham cracker treat with pecans and caramel on top.  It's like CRACK.  I know I overdosed on this stuff.  I fell off the wagon this week-end and must climb back on.  So today is that day AGAIN.  I have to do better.  The sugar is not going to change the fact that I am stressed out from the remodeling projects that are going on or need done.  Candy bars and crack are a huge NO NO for me.  Eating this stuff caused my eyes to dry out.  I caught on that this is what happens when too much sugar is in my system.  DRIED EYES.  🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

Today, the new week is in full force.  I jotted down on a list the things I need to get done.  I am hopeful that I will accomplish what needs to get done even if it takes me all day.  As I lay down at night to fall asleep, I usually go over the list in my head what I would like to get done and begin decorating the house in my head and pray.

Wake up.

I've got to squeeze in writing and working on some kind of HOBBY for relaxation and for the sake of doing something else besides chores all the time.  Know what I mean, Vern.

It never goes the way I plan, but that's alright.  Somehow it helps keep me going and stay on track.

The outdoors temps are cooling this time of year in the mornings and it is the best time of the day to go WALK. As it usually warms up by afternoon and gets too hot for comfort.  Yesterday, it reached into he high 80s almost 90 and I have no business being outdoors walking in the heat even if it is good to sweat I don't do very well.  🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

I best get to it.  I will phone in a prescription after the Pharmacy opens.  A small gift needs wrapped and placed in the mail.  Questions for the thyroid visit need typed up and ready to go. Tomatoes picked from garden.  Sofa vacuumed.  A newspaper article typed up.  Correspondences made about my Mom's new address.  Laundry worked on.  Things to put away or give away.  Car cleaned out.

This is the day that the Lord has made.  I will rejoice and be glad in it.  Amen.  Being a HOMEMAKER is an honor.  I have to stay focused and remind myself of what my ministry is.

Monday and Cleaning the Coffee Pot

Early June Monday.
Blue skies with little breeze.  The window is open where I can hear the birds chirping.  At 4:40 pm it's hot outside with the Kansas heat being 95 degrees.  Tomorrow it's suppose to heat up as well then on Wednesday a thunder shower to cool things off.

A electric fan on a stand is blowing air about the room.  I'm sitting in my easy chair having just finished eating an afternoon snack of Fit & Active STRAWBERRY Nonfat Yogurt.  1 serving size is 100 calories.

Tonite, a air conditioner window unit will need to be installed.

The room has gotten a little sticky and humid.  When I'm up walking around it does get hot inside the house.  The utility room is stuffy.  Working on catching up with the laundry.  I don't like running behind on the chores, especially the laundry.

I have been working on the paperwork off and on through out the day.  An ongoing task.  Lil Miss is asleep on the sofa.  Pretty soon my husband will be home from work.  Lil Miss's Momma will be home from work.

I'll take some time to visit with my husband and be off duty from babysitting.
Better go put a pot of coffee on.  Hubby loves his after work coffee.  I do also.  Especially when it has half & half in it.  No sugar.  Duncan Donuts Coffee today!  Even though it's HOT outside, he will want his coffee.

Washed the coffee pot earlier today.   Am learning some extra pointers on how to clean a glass coffee carafe.

~SHARE~

Things needed to clean a glass coffee carafe:
Vinegar
Sponge
Dish Detergent
Warm Water
Paper Towel
Drain Rack

~WARNINGS and TIPS~
Wash all parts of your automatic coffee maker at the same time as carafe, including filter and filter basket.
Avoid steel wool or harsh abrasives to clean the glass pot.
Unplug electric coffee maker before cleaning the main structure and don't submerge the electric coffee maker under water.

~HERE WE GO~
It's important to keep coffee maker clean to get a good cup of coffee.
1)
*make sure pot is cooled
*don't fill a hot coffee pot with cold water...there's risk of cracking the glass carafe
*rinse grounds and liquid from pot

2)
*if glass pot has residual coffee stains, fill it with solution of equal parts vinegar and water
*soak 20 minutes before washing

3)
*remove coffee pot lid if it's removable
*dab dish detergent on sponge
*use warm water to wash coffee pot lid
*let dry

4)
*dump out vinegar-water solution and rinse
*scrub inside of carafe with sponge and dish detergent
*thoroughly wash the interior bottom and sides of pot
*wash exterior as well

5)
*thoroughly rinse out all sides with warm or cool water
*make sure no residue or detergent ends up in morning coffee

6)
*sit carafe upside down to dry
*can hand dry with paper towel

Momma always said there'd be days like this, Momma said.

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
