Baby, It's HOT OUTSIDE.
Small Town America Parade!
There's a beauty to it all.
Saturday was HOT as my DEAR Reigning Meatloaf KING Husband rode in a 1963 Red Chevy Nova Convertible waving to others on the sidelines watching the 2013 Paxico Meatloaf Festival Parade. It's one of the perks of winning the competition the year before. This is year number 5 for the meatloaf contest and A Pie Bake Off was added to the festivities. Auto Show still a go.
Lil Miss rode in the auto waving and blowing kisses.
She took the privilege seriously.

I overheated.
Found a place in the shade sipping some diet Snapple then
walked over to the building where the Meatloaves were on display. Not
sure who would win, but a Pie Bake Off was added to the festival. Maybe
next year I'll enter that.
Such a good COOK!

MONDAY would have been a decent day to have a semi-homemade picnic in the out of doors, if we hadn't been so busy. Temps cooled a tad as the wind blew in a cooler breeze that makes one want to willingly close their eyes while tilting the head back allowing what hair one has to be whipped about as if God Himself were styling it.
In a way, He is. He knows the number of hairs on that head of yours. Sending a breeze to mess your mane. In the heat of the Summer, a breeze like the one we had was a welcomed sensation. WELCOMED. Go ahhhhhh. Wipe the sweat from your brow and take in the refreshing blast.

Inside and out...Old Prairie Town takes me back.
As we drove HOME from Topeka, the raindrops spit onto the windshield.
We arrived HOME tired.
Delilah was on a walk with Daughter.
She's enjoying her Summer Hair Cut.
The Dog Days Of Summer are here.
Have a wonderful week,
