I haven't felt well in so long I didn't know any better. My gallbladder was dead and gangrenous. I tried to remember what I thought were gallbladder attacks over the last few years. I think I had 7 attacks altogether as they were getting closer together until JULY 1st arrived and I was a goner.
Extreme chest and abdomen pain that didn't go away with vomiting that wouldn't stop. Morphin at the Hospital didn't touch the pain. Another dose with same effect. Another drug. It was an awful night where the clock on the wall wasn't moving fast enough for morning to come.
Blood work was good, CT scan was good. Visited with surgeon on Sunday and tried to stay comfortable. Awful. Come Monday, a gallbladder ultrasound was done which confirmed gallstones. Surgery was scheduled for that afternoon. I was ready. Surgery went well. When I heard the gallbladder was gangrenous it stunned me. I had no idea gallbladders could do that. Death can happen due to sepsis. I am thankful to still be alive.
As I heal, I have to move slow. This is just part of it and I will accept this. I am still very tired.
I was instructed to eat LOW FAT after surgery. Not difficult to do. We have taken this into account and tweaking menus. I believe we can continue to do this and be healthier. One addition to our HOME is Ezekiel Bread.
I had tried it years ago and didn't stay with it. Seemed so dry at the time. Health issues have invaded my body and I am working at changing what I eat. This go round it hasn't been so difficult.
I WANT TO BE WELL.
