LAST NIGHT's FIREWORKS SHOW was spectacular. They started earlier than announced as a wicked storm was blowing in. We watched the show as we sat on the steps of our porch. The display was glorious. Afterwards, we watched a silly movie with some laughs. I stayed up late as I was wired knowing that on Wednesday I needed to travel to Kansas City for a MRI.
Stayed up late and woke super early, got around and took a shower. Off to KC by 8. Drove through St. Marys for a Almond Milk Steamer with almond flavor. We went ahead and ate Breakfast at MJs. Biscuits and gravy.
Onto KC. We stopped off at a WALMART for a potty break and I picked up a black blouse to wear instead of what I had on. I need to update my Spring and Summer blouses so this was a good excuse to buy a blouse. This blouse was on sale for $15, but when I checked out it was $13. Win. Win.
I had to switch tops in the car as quickly as I could so no one could see me changing in the car. I think I did really well. Off to the ARROWHEAD STADIUM to get a MRI. The technician had trouble getting the IV in the right arm so he had to change to the left. It hurt.
I had a hard time holding my breath as long as I was suppose to while the images were being taken. When it was all said and done, I was beyond ready to be done. Not sure how many times I had to hold my breath for 20 to 23 seconds each time, but I thought about when I was a girl that was swimming under water. I had to hold my breath. The swimming was more fun than lying there on the bed with a mechanical donut enveloping me for images.
This go round I got to wear headphones that played THE GOLDEN OLDIES as I was getting the MRI. I'm not sure what the results will be. I know I have lesions throughout my liver and I don't like the sound of this. Reading about these lesions, some sights call the lesions tumors or masses. sigh. In you Lord will I trust.
After I was released to go, I was a tad bit light headed and shaky. We went to THE FARMHOUSE to eat lunch as I wanted to go as organic as we could. I ordered a MEDITERRANEAN SALAD with chicken on the side. The salad was delicious, but the chicken too dry. If I do this again I'll skip the chicken. The dressing made the dish. GREEK Vinaigrette Dressing.
Off we went as I wanted to go to IKEA to look around, but we got sidetracked as we saw THE GREAT WHITE ARABIA MUSEUM and Hubby and I both wanted to tour it. It was extremely interesting. A treat. Pics please.
IKEA came next. As I walked around, I considered that this was my Wednesday walk preparing for my hysterectomy. As I stand before the bathroom mirrors and see myself that I visited today, I am not pleased with how heavy I have gotten. Tis terrible to see so much flab on my arms. I promise that I will begin to exercise after the hysterectomy and get the word that it's alright to. Promise.
Onward toward TOPEKA and I remember that I needed some more organic veggies like beets, radishes, cabbages, peppers, onions, green beans, squash, zucchini. We stopped at DILLONS and selected some good ones. HOME was next on the agenda. Unloading and putting the groceries away.
I will be tired on Thursday, but have to get the bedroom packed up and move the boxes out of the house. I hope I can get this done.
