HELLO OUT THERE IN BLOGLAND. Tis Monday. We had company over the wk-end. Wonderful to have family around. We ate well and had interesting conversations. Got together with daughter and her family as well on Saturday. Had two of my grown children together. Blessings.
We met up with them at their HOME bringing supper. I fixed a large salad with lots of olives, blue berries, chick peas and greens mixed with a few cherry tomatoes topped with croutons. Hubby made a Cajun Andouille Sausage dish served with rice and red beans. Drank water. He loves this sausage. Newest favorite for him. We don't eat pork very often. Probably a good thing.
Had a great visit then returned to our HOME to watch a movie, Enola Holmes 2. Last night after company left to return to their HOME, we watched the first show, Enola Holmes. Some violence and whodunnit mystery. If it becomes a series, it would be tempting to watch the series.
PAUSE. Having company in meant TIME OFF from the downsizing and move. Back to it today. We did shuffle some furniture on the main floor of the house so we can bring more furniture down to the main floor making preparations to relocate to the COTTAGE. Back to it. Hubby broke down the two beds we are taking with us. Now to transport the headboards on top of the car HILLBILLY STYLE!
TODAY, We need to make a trip into Manhattan to pick up some lumber as we are going to posh up the upstairs hallway in a few days then two tone paint with different colors to add some interest. I need to pay a utility bill as well. Will purchase some green tea from Starbucks for medicinal purposes. Return HOME and load the large buffet in the back of PETE to take to the COTTAGE. The large TV will sit on this in the Living room.
Afterwards, we'll probably eat and take a nap then load pieces of the beds that will fit inside the car. Make another trip over. I'm sure we will be exhausted come evening. The more we get moved over, the more excited I get that we are moving forward in our LIVES to living in a small COTTAGE and get out of debt.
I'd like to know what it is like to be DEBT FREE as an adult before I die. Debt has been a part of our marriage forever. It's a stress that we shouldn't have had. If one honors their bills then having too many of them is a heavy load and a concern that requires too much energy to bare. It's a weight that needs to be turned loose of. Getting to where we have no debt requires working at it and is a sacrifice to make. Changing the spots on this creature requires changing the DNA of how we are doing LIFE.
A quiet day in the neighborhood. Ready to go for the day.
In the long run of things, after we move our furniture into the COTTAGE, move all the boxes, items about the house and yard...we can work on the main house full force. We'll be very busy, but it will be a good feeling to be doing this. I have a goal.
Many goals actually. SELL THE BIG HOUSE. GET OUT OF DEBT. GET HEALTHIER. BE ACTIVE. SEW. WRITE. BEAUTIFY THE FLOWER GARDENS. PRAISE GOD and STUDY HIS PRECIOUS WORD. STUDY UP ON BIBLICAL EATING. WALKING MORE. VISITING MORE.
For now, it's moving the furniture one piece at a time to the COTTAGE where we will be living. We both have cancer and we're moving one item at a time ourselves. PRAISE THE LORD, we're doing it. We're actually moving. PRAISE THE LORD, we still have strength.
