Monday Matters.
What a pleasant Day this can be.
Religiously, I use to do my laundry on Mondays. Each day of the week represented what big household chore I would do during the week. It was a good plan that worked for me.
Tuesday was for vaccuuming and dusting the entire house.
Wednesday, Bathrooms scoured and sanitized.
Thursday, Tidying, shopping and paperwork.
Friday, more laundry and changing of all the bed sheets on 4 beds.
Saturday, yardwork and whatever.
Sunday, Church.
Each day included grooming, meal preparations, dishes, sitting/clearing dining table, cleaning, daily tidying house, making the bed, tending to children, husband time, phone calls. Pick up, pick up, pick up. There always seemed to be a remodeling project going on, children's homework, individual time to read, television programs, listening to teaching tapes, running errands, taking children to after school activities, attending children's programs and games. Somewhere in all of this I took time for meeting with friends, yardwork, sewing, and the list goes on. Ever changing.
Each day was different and each year the activities changed. This continues to be the norm.
I do have some regrets...that when my children were much younger and still at home, I regret that we didn't have more family time. I wish we hadn't done so much go, go, go, go, go. I wish there had been MORE importance placed on Family Devotions. More time just sitting and talking, enjoying just sitting and talking. Not in such a rush. I wished I had spent more alone time just sitting quietly praying and seeking God's presence and guidance.
Time changes and so do I. Praise the Lord.
If this picture were an actual place in the area, we could meet there and spend some time visiting as we enjoyed the mild weather. If we felt like it, we could sit and listen to the birds chirp while we prayed for...
This Monday Matters and so do you.
Peaceful times and times of growth.
May we remember to take time to sit and ponder the important things.
God richly bless you,
~Deanna~
