Saint Charles

Saint Charles is a charming place to visit.

As we passed one of the shops, this oversized delicate porcelain figurine by the Valencian Spanish company Lladro was daintily displayed in the front window.  The glass reflected so badly, but was hoping you'd get the idea what I saw.

Guessing at the sales price I said $10,000.oo.  Just for grins my husband went inside the store to find out the asking price.

Want to take a guess?  How's about $10,500.oo!  Good guess on my part...just $500 off.  I've admired these figurines from afar but have never seen such a large one.  It was a treat to see.

Back in 1953 the three Lladro brothers, Juan, Jose and Vincente began a company based in Tavernes Blanques, Valencia.  In 1956 they started producing the sculptures for which they are famous made out of hard-paste porcelain.

We walked the sidewalks and stopped off at a Coffee Shop.  Good thing because it was hot out and I'm moving kind of slow.  Sweating and ready for a break......coffee time.

Miniature Dollhouse Furniture catches my eye and delights the little girl inside of me that never tires of playing house.

One of the quaint stores we visited in Saint Charles, Missouri displayed and sold beautifully made miniature furniture and items. Thought showing some of these miniatures would be fun to share.

May the LORD'S Blessings be found in what ever structure we live in that we call home.
May we allow the LORD to make our homes a loving, refreshing, and peaceful HAVEN. We can have an active part in creating this valuable place we call Home by being sensitive to God's instructions and applying His counsel to our everyday life. Don't miss the mark. May Jesus be your personal Savior, because we need Him in order to understand the things of GOD and HIS HOLY WORD also to be filled with GOD's HOLY SPIRIT.
