I like never have the portable landline phone in the bedroom during the sleeping hours. Except for yesterday after working on piles of paperwork. It is handy to have a phone near by so there is no running like a chicken with no head on to get to the phone downstairs.
The phone rang around 5:45 AM. I heard it and began wondering who is calling so early unless it's an emergency.
Hubby scrambled to find the phone in the dark. We both got up and went downstairs to find out who it was. Thought it was my Mom at first then Hubby realized it was our daughter. She thought her Dad would be up getting ready for work. During the night she received a text about one of my ole Bible Study friends, Diana having died, but brought back to life by her Husband doing CPR. For 40 minutes her Husband performed CPR on her until a Heart Specialist in the neighborhood who was listening to his scanner arrived with a Defibrillator.
This couple were babysitting their Grandkids in Kansas City when my friend fell out of her chair and hit the floor dead. Her husband worked on her until the Doctor arrived and off to the Hospital they went.
In most cases she would have been dead on arrival, but she is still alive. She had heart surgery.
You do not know the number of days you are allowed.
I have to take time to pray and give God thanks for all the blessings He has given me. So many. SO very many. I will continue praying.
I cannot imagine what this family has dealt with in the last few days. A miracle that Diana is still alive. I pray she pulls through all of this and God gives her many more years to love on her Grand babies, Children and her dear Husband.

This week-end the remodeling continues as the shutters are finally being installed.
UPDATE ON HOUSE:Today the shutters are to be installed. I hope it goes well. In a few days, I hope the Living room to be back in order, plus the Dining room and the Kitchen. It's been close to 3 months of disarray. We will not be finished with the Dining room painting until after Thanksgiving and that's alright. We'll keep pressing in until finish.
On Monday, the places that were repaired on the Living room ceiling will be primed and painted meaning once again the wood floors will have to be covered in plastic and the furniture covered with tarps. Area rugs are scheduled to be delivered after THANKSGIVING. We're getting there and aiming for the rooms to be pulled back together before THANKSGIVING.
Our regular physicals will take place this month....so excited about that...NOT.
I'll continue to load things up in boxes to haul to the THRIFT SHOPS. Oh baby, it's cold outside.
