Can one be too educated?
Too pretty, rich, or skinny?
For a few pennies I bought a book at the local Library Once A Month Sale.
When Lady Diana Spencer married at 20,
I was young myself at 26 and had been married for almost seven years with three children to call my own.
My hands were full raising three children in my personal life and it didn't seem much like a fairytale potty training a princess in the making, wiping the brow of little ones with the chicken pox and doing my best to stay on a tight budget. I was too tired being a real HOMEMAKER, WIFE and MOMMA to appreciate the full value of what I was actually doing.
Tending to eternal beings.
I had no focus on being a child of GOD.
Didn't even have a clue what that was, but desired good morals teachings with the children.
Didn't even have a clue what that was, but desired good morals teachings with the children.
My PRINCE CHARMING was busy climbing up the corporate ladder and wanting the GOOD LIFE.
I remember really well when the royal wedding took place
as well as Princess Di's funeral. I was a young MOMMA living in LIBERAL, KANSAS when Diana took her wedding vows and wore that monstrosity of a wedding dress train. I don't remember where I was living when I watched the televised interview with her after she was newly divorced, but was living in a run down RENTAL celebrating my 27th year of MARRIAGE when the Princess took her last breath.
I would stay up all night to watch the funeral on the television. Saddened.
After becoming Princess of Wales, Diana automatically acquired rank as the third highest female in the United Kingdom Order of Precedence (after the Queen and the Queen Mother), and as typically fifth or sixth in the orders of precedence of her other realms, following the Queen, the relevant viceroy, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales. Within a few years of the marriage, the Queen extended Diana visible tokens of membership in the Royal Family; the gift of a tiara and the badge of the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
Later in life I came to admire the clothing Diana wore,
the hairstyles she crowned herself with and would take notice
of the turmoil in her marriage to CHUCKIE.
Though I didn't like the style of her wedding gown when she married in 1981,
I adored it when I saw it in person in Kansas City a few years ago. Also viewing many of her other dresses and outfits she wore when out and about princess-ing were admired.
After reading this book, I realized that the tall 5 foot 10 1/2 inch Princess Di who loved to DANCE wanted to be a Ballerina, but too shy to dance in public, was a High School drop-out that would teach dance for about three months. Quitting because of an injury, would clean her sister's home, be a Nanny, help teach art and dance at Young England Kindergarten and struggled with Bulimia through out her marriage.
I had thought she was a Kindergarten Teacher as Princess Di referred to herself as one.
She was never a Kindergarten teacher, but one of the assistants that worked with kindergarteners. I did not know that she was a High School Drop-out. A High School Drop-out was third highest acquired ranking female in the United Kingdom Order and one of the most photographed woman on the planet.
She loved to dance, played the piano, swam and hungered to be loved.
After marrying, she struggled with bulimia when trying to please her Husband, the Royal Family and fulfilling her royal duties. Never a "WELL DONE" given. Mostly criticism for wearing the wrong clothes or giving the wrong gestures. She was seriously ill with morning sickness with her pregnancies and Charles thought she to be a drama queen.
When Harry was born, Prince Charles's comments about Harry being a boy with rusty colored hair when he wanted a girl, was known to be the beginning of the end of their marriage. Prince Charles was willingly rebellious and kept his married mistress throughout his marriage to Di. During surgery, Charles disappeared to fulfill his obligations elsewhere when William was having surgery.
Princess Di and Prince Charles blamed each other for the marriage failing.
Was Prince Charles a spoiled brat?
Was Princess Di a media hog?
You decide and let me know.
CAN ONE BE TOO EDUCATED? yes.
One doesn't have to be highly decorated and educated to be a successful person.
CAN ONE BE TOO PRETTY? no.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and skin deep.
TOO RICH? no.
Money is a tool that can be used to do good things.
TOO SKINNY? yes.
Healthy requires that you nourish your body with nutrients, minerals, vitamins. Know you have value and worth, are loved and needed.
Even if you are not a British Princess you can act like one,
look like one, dress like one. Seem shallow? no.
fun.
fun.
Blessings,
d
