Went to the Bank and onto the grocery store where I would meet Hubby for Lunch. Daughter and Lil Miss would go on HOME allowing me some free time in the city.
Chinese Meal split and beverage of choice was water. Hubby back to work and took off for TARGET to get Easter treats for the Grandchildren. When I finished, went to the Dollar Tree and rested at SONIC drinking a half priced Root Beer while looking through a Country Sampler Magazine. Sometimes we just need some alone time with a magazine. Wonderful.
It's been a while since I felt like I had time to burn. Had time to spare so I visited the Public Library. Went and picked up Hubby. As we were driving HOME, I asked if we could stop by the Thrift Store. It's been a little while since I dropped in.
Sure enough, I found some old dishes for little of nothing and Hubby found a 41" x 47" dining room table with Queen Anne legs that he wanted me to look at. She doesn't have any chairs and needs refinished. We bought her. Hubby believes that he can beautify her and place her in our HOME.
The present table we've been using belongs to Daughter. This table with chairs are large and heavy. Takes up so much of the room that a smaller table will be a welcomed addition to our estate. I hope he can fix her and we use her. Will be looking for daintier chairs to use.
Today, I worked on assembling Easter Treats in Gift Bags and worked up a sweat. Am just about finished. Want to tie a bow on the handles. Fed the dogs, swept the kitchen floor, wiped down the toilet. Tending to a sick child. Chicken Noodle Soup for Lunch.
I've been surfing the internet to get better informed about the world we live in. Every now and then I do this. When it comes to the political arena it seems we're classified into two classes of people.... Liberals and Conservatives.
When it comes to abortions, sexual partners, women in uniforms on the front lines, the sequester, drones that kill american citizens on american soil without having a trial and nuclear bombs...people don't agree. As most of you know, ones opinion when spoken or written seems to make blood pressures rise and tempers flare even in ones own family.
According to the internet, when President O B A M A was a Senator, the Chicago Bath Houses had some interesting visitors splashing about. Reverend James David M a n n i n g out of New York sounds off on You Tube. Just how many times has O b a m a been married? Is he holding hands with his College Roommate? What's he smoking? Are those scars on the sides of his head from having plastic surgery so he won't look so indonesian? Was his marriage to Michelle arranged to give an appearance that he's a good political candidate? Did O enjoy his taxi ride while sight seeing Chicago? Enquiring minds want to know. Is God smiling?
For the longest time, when President C L I N T O N was being examined for possibly having an affair with Monica, many said it didn't matter how much he cheated on his wife, he was a decent politician. I was one of those that believed that it does matter what a person does under the desk while sitting behind it. One's character is the same in private as when in public. You can know a person by their fruit. Is God smiling?
I question our national security when our commander-in-chief of our Armed Forces has never served even one hour in any branch of our military thinks our military is too strong. Too strong. Heavens. I don't believe we should let our guard down.
What does God think of our President? Is He smiling? Can we still have peaceful and safe HOMES when we don't agree with our President? Will we be threatened? Will we loose our freedoms?
Back to my present world. If the temps are warmer, I'll be sweeping the front porch off and washing her. Sorely needed. The sewing machine will be placed on the dining room table and I will do my best to sew a Balloon Shade.
The clocks will be move forward this week-end. It seems like I just changed them. In some respects, time quickly flew by. Saint Patrick's Day on the 17th and then on the 20th.....
