PAUSING and thinking about LIFE. What's really important? How to live. What to do with my time on earth. How to do this. How to treat others. Etc.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO BE in a rightful relationship with GOD. Getting there is by believing on GOD's only begotten SON, the LORD JESUS as ones personal savior then receiving the Holy Spirit. Believing HE died on the cross for mankind's sin and rose from the dead. By being saved by the grace of GOD and filled with HIS Holy Spirit is where you begin to understand the things of GOD. Praying daily is communication to Father GOD.
By thinking one is basically a GOOD PERSON does not usher us into having abundant LIFE nor does it usher us into heaven when the time comes after death. We are born into this world without the spirit of GOD living in us. We are born with what is called a fallen nature, because we do not have HIS spirit in us. Not until we are BORN AGAIN through CHRIST JESUS then our spirits are regenerated. Being BORN AGAIN is that spiritual birth that happens when we BELIEVE that Jesus is who HE says HE is and we accept this by believing and embracing HIM as our SAVIOR. Repentance and faith are a part of this journey.
We're made in the image of GOD who is an ETERNAL BEING therefore we as humans are eternal beings that will live forever either in HIS presence or out of it. Heaven or Hell. You choose. I chose Jesus as LORD and heaven where there is no pain or sorrow. Joy unspeakable. I chose God's way through our LORD JESUS.
I am extremely wealthy because I am a child of the most high GOD. I have TRUE wealth that will not rot because of HIM as my Savior and Lord.
Asking Jesus into your heart is one thing, but one must BELIEVE HE is the only begotten son of almighty GOD. Asking Jesus into your heart isn't biblical instruction for getting sealed for the day of redemption. Asking Jesus into your heart isn't necessarily BELIEVING that HE is who HE says HE is. One must believe HE is the SON of GOD who died for our sins and rose again.
The idea of Jesus “coming into your heart” is nowhere used in any preaching in the Bible. The gospel is the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sin (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Gospel presentations in the Bible exhort a proper response to that message: believe (John 3:16; Acts 16:31), receive (John 1:12), and repent (Acts 3:19). We are to change our minds about our sin and about who Christ is, believe Jesus died and rose again, and receive the gift of eternal life by faith. None of the apostles ever told someone to “ask Jesus into your heart.”Often, the exhortation to “ask Jesus to come into your heart” is used as a simple way to say, “Ask Jesus to enter your life” or “Allow the Lord to take control.” If this is done in the context of presenting the whole gospel, then there’s no harm done. But before a person is invited to “ask Jesus into your heart,” he or she should understand sin and its penalty, the payment Christ made on the cross, and the reality of Christ’s resurrection. In fact, referring to salvation as Jesus’ “coming into your heart” might even help a person understand that the Spirit of Christ comes to indwell the soul (see John 14:17). Still, it is always best to use the terminology the Bible uses. “Ask Jesus into your heart” does not fully communicate what is actually occurring at salvation.
When sharing the gospel, we should be careful what we say and how we say it. Even the word believe can be misleading if it is presented as mere intellectual assent (agreeing that certain facts are true) instead of as trust (relying on those true facts). Judas Iscariot believed certain facts about Jesus, but he never trusted Jesus for salvation. Salvation is not about believing a list of facts. Salvation is not about asking Jesus to come into your heart. Salvation is about trusting in Jesus as your Savior, receiving the forgiveness He offers by grace through faith. Salvation is about being made new through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5).
Hearing about God's goodness can lead people to truly repent and turn from their unhealthy ways.
So many people do not like themselves. They don't love themselves. Seeing God's goodness is something they do not understand. God's goodness is rejected.
GOD sent JESUS into the world not to condemn the it, but that the world through JESUS might be saved.
John 3:17-30 King James Version
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Pausing comes. Deep thoughts. Deeper emotions. I think it's important to sit, be still and get in touch with emotions and actually do some deep thinking. Praying as I go.
It's been awhile since I tried to memorize scripture. Giving it a go.
MY MEMORY VERSE will be:
Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
King James Version (KJV)
Yesterday was a beautiful day here in my neighborhood. I had some time to walk in the sunshine before the storms blew in. There's always cleaning and laundry to do. It is in these simple things that I move. Simple. I attempted to walk around the football field's track 3 times. It was 82 outside.
I walked 3 times around it in the strong wind. 3/4 of a mile! Pretty good for me as an out of shape old lady. Prayed as I walked. There's something wonderful about being able to pray out loud to GOD and be comfortable with what comes out of my mouth. RAW. I don't have to try to impress anyone.
As I walked I looked out at the scenery which took my breath away with its beauty.
After walking, we went to pick up the mail at the Post Office and stop by a little shop just to browse. I purchased a jar of some Apple Butter and two miniature Blue Willow plates.
WORKING throughout the day AT LAUNDERING SHEETS AND BEDDING. Freshening up the full basket of sheets I have. Using usual detergent plus Clorox to remove stains and pull out the freshness. I'll be drying items in the dryer since my clothesline has been removed from backyard. Drying sheets on a clothesline allows the sunshine and wind to whip the sheets straight. No need to iron. Until I get another clothesline installed, I'm using my machine.
Throughout the afternoon, I will sip on spring water while taking nutritional supplements. A few capsules every hour from noon until supper time. Easier on my throat and stomach doing it this way.
Most of the supplements come in amber colored glass bottles.

Yesterday, I started my LANA TURNER DIET. grins. I wanted to do this because of its simplicity. Giving it a try.
I drank one cup of orange juice, but skipped the hot tea for BREAKFAST. 112 calories.
I actually wasn't hungry enough to eat LUNCH. It was to be only a salad as SUPPER was to be just a steak. Change of menu. The salad is about 200 calories and about 400 calories was eaten with the rib eye steak for an early SUPPER. Same amount of calories for the day just eaten during a different window of time.
Hunger wise, I was not hungry in the evening. The battle is in wanting something to munch on as it is a bad habit of mine to eat even when I am not hungry. A comfort thang, I think. I'm talking to myself and drinking water to curb the appetite. It's an ugly habit that has a hold on me that I need to break. I hear most habits can be broken in 21 days.
TODAY, I'm eating the LANA TURNER DIET again. I did drink oj for breakfast and fixed a huge salad for lunch. There will be a steak for my supper meal. Four days of this and I shall see how it's going. I can pat myself on the back that I am on day 2. Not so bad. Hallelujah. I understand that there are 3500 calories in one pound of fat. If I cut 500 calories a day for a week, I should lose ONE POUND. Don't be discouraged. ONE POUND a week is a milestone.
Simplify my eating habits is what I am aiming for. One pound at a time.
We walked out amongst our flower garden in the morning and again in the evening. A sweet thing to do. Admiring the colorful blossoms speaks to my soul.
I am just about to finish laundering the sheets I had in a LARGE basket in the Kitchen full of vintage sheets. Using Clorox makes the sheets smell fresh and clean. I decided that I need to keep old top sheets to cover porch plants when frost is going to come. I'd prefer white sheets verses designs on the sheets even if it's for covering the plants. I have several sets of old sheets that I will pass along. No need to keep them.
