This darlin' has been in our family for 5 and a half years, married to our son Tinman and together have a newborn son.
She's a delightful daughter-in-law to us and we consider her OUR Daughter!!!

Wild West Wednesday
Howdy, You All! Wild West Wednesdays has been something I have posted off and on since Fall 2009. Back in October after I got home and the pictures were downloaded that I had quickly snapped while in Wichita's Cowtown, I was surprised that so many pictures were taken. I didn't put a great deal of time into staging the pics...I just snapped away. Easy and fast. Today I want to repost some of pics that I really liked how they turned out.
When returning to Cowtown again in milder temperatures when I can stroll about at a slower pace, I hope to have pics of the Railroad Station, a few more houses, interiors of the stores/shops and then there's the farm that I want to share.
Thanx for coming along. Pretend it's 90 degrees outside and you're sweating...I'm ready to sit in the shade, sip a cool beverage and rest my hat. If only I had a horse.
If you had lived in the 1880s wild west what do you suppose your name would have been? I think my name would have been Jane, Victoria or Anna. Buffalo Betty? Nah.

'Life Just Got A Little Easier' Pineapple

Eating fruit in the Winter is a plus!
Other than eating canned Pineapple, I didn't know when to cut into a Pineapple. Until recently. The instructions I received worked like a charm!
Life just got a little easier.
Pull one of the center leaves from the clump. If it comes out easily...the Pineapple is ready to eat!
You can either twist the clump of leaves off with your hand or slice off the pineapple leaves with a sharp knife.
Slice the rough sides off. Discard.
Cut individual pineapple slices.
She's ready to serve.
This pineapple was delicious and sweet. Straight from Hawaii. Well...sorta.

Valentine's BABY
A warm HomeHaven Hello to you. Thank you for coming by and saying howdy! I have some pictures of our newest Grandbaby I just have to show you. A Grandson and boy oh boy is he grand!!!
On Valentine's Day this year, we were in a Waiting Room waiting. It was snowing outside and we waited...not patiently, but nerviously as our Daughter-In-Law was in LABOR. Early that morning we received word that she was in labor and drove about 6 hours, tensely waited and at 6:22pm BABY was born. He's a BOY!!! Almost nine pounds, almost 22 inches long, light brownish hair, blue eyes. Prayed the whole time.
During labor, the baby's heart rate would slow down when the doctor didn't want it to. It was a concern. There was blood in the fluid as well. Concern. Baby was too blue when he arrived and would be observed by Hospital Staff. We wouldn't see him and hold him til the next day. But we did get to see him and hold him. Momma and Baby doing well. Daddy developed a bad case of bronchitis.

Thank you God for BABIES, Children, Families, Hospitals and Staff. Thank you God for waiting rooms with comfortable furniture. Thank you LORD for BABIES BORN on Valentine's Day.

Forgive me...no make-up that day! You get to see the naked truth! That's my hubby...he doesn't have any make-up on either. The smiles say it all. We were tired, but so happy that the BABY arrived.

We are the proud Grand Parents to 5 Grands now.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.
