WE RETURNED FROM AN OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE COTTAGE HOUSE in COUNCIL GROVE, KANSAS. What a treat.
A card and silver, star shaped helium balloon were given to my HUBBY for Father's Day in the morning. In the card I suggested that we go eat STEAK and he decided the location. We went to Council Grove to eat at the Historic HAY'S HOUSE.
After we ate, we drove around town and I remembered about the THE COTTAGE HOUSE. Let's see if they have a room available. Yep. The Bridal Chamber was available. So we stayed there for the night. We had no toiletries so we went to DOLLAR GENERAL for some supplies and the Grocery Store for a snack Supper. It was all very spontaneous. Felt like a kid again.

They no longer serve Breakfast, but had Granola Bars and Hot Tea. We sat in the Parlour and chatted for an hour. RELAXING. Then we went HOME for LUNCH and a NAP.
Late night TV was an old film LIFE WITH FATHER. We've seen the show several times before, but I still enjoy it so much.
