YEARLY THYROID EXAMS WENT WELL. Thankful for that. I weighed in heavier then expected. humph. It seems that my weight is stuck. My visit included some questions that were answered. It was brought up that some research is being done in the basement of the facility about ARMOUR (natural) vs. Synthroid (synthetic). Interesting.
You see when I first started this merry-go-round of taking Synthroid, I was determined to honor what the endocrinologist suggested as their Gold Standard. I took it for 5 and a half years. As rotten as I felt, I checked into natural sources which included Armour. The research I uncovered was staggering.
I took it upon myself to visit with my MD asking questions about Armour a year before I switched to it. A year later he obliged me and prescribed Armour. I started taking it. When switching from Synthroid to Armour, it is advisable to ease into it. I didn't and the adjustment was HARD. ROAD RAGE at home was inside my body. I remember getting so angry. I could sense the rage. I'd be home alone and my mood would change to being overly mad at life. I'd adjust and calm down as my body got use to the new meds. With Synthroid, I was overheating all the time. It was awful and the weight gain continual.
AT THAT TIME, the endocrinology facility said they NEVER prescribe ARMOUR and they did not have any one there that was taking it UNTIL HUBBY and I showed up one day and informed them that we had switched to ARMOUR. We were the black sheep of the family. We remained as patients and were not let go. Back to my present day visit.
My TSH is way too low due to being overmedicated. Instructions to lower my dose which I was pretty sure would happen. I went ahead and had another lab done this morning to see how much the TSH has raised since a week has passed for the blood work for this exam. It'll take a day or two for Walk-In-Lab to show the results in the health portal. I was 0.226 last week. I NEED TO BE a 1.0 to 2.0. I asked the medical personnel what to do if my TSH is within range, but still too tired. He suggested checking Vitamin D levels, Vitamin B12 and iron through regular doc. I believe I will do this. I purchased a Vitamin B-Complex today at the health food store that is stored in a brown amber glass bottle. I'll start these tonight.
Come to find out that B-Complex vitamins aid in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins to support cellular energy production for the body. Also play a necessary role in supporting cardiovascular and nervous system health. Each required nutrient in the Vitamin B-Complex performs a unique role in maintaining proper metabolic functioning, while nutritionally supporting the body during occasional stress of daily living.
SOUNDS like I need some help from Vitamin B-Complex.

IMHO, I believe more then not, health issues are created when our nutrition is off and we have a vitamin deficiency AND mineral deficiency.
Here's to better health,
