ROLLING RIGHT ALONG, Granny Nanny Chronicles and A L I E N S

WHERE ARE YOU SPRING?  🌷🌷🌷 These tulips purchased a few days ago will be planted outside after others start to pop through the ground.  These will go out front around the base of the front yard tree.  For now, I have a little sunshine in my Living room which I sorely needed.  The WINTER BLUES are present.

I saw where someone used a paper board egg carton and placed tulip bulbs in the carton then planted the base of the entire carton in the ground.  The tulips eventually popped through the soil where very evenly spaced rows of tulips appeared.  I'm going to have to do this.

ON THURSDAY, we met up with our Granddaughter to see her dorm room and take her out for a meal.  The school year is flying and we were delighted to spend some time with her before the semester ends.

It was bitter cold and windy outside, but our hearts were warmed.

ON FRIDAY WHEN WE GOT OUT TO RUN ERRANDS, the weather was chilly.  Snow was on its way within the next 24 hours.  ANOTHER WINTERY MIX for us.  When waking this Saturday morning, there was snow on the landscape.  Beautiful pure white snow.  I'll stay indoors today. I'll babysit in a little while.

The youngest Grandson will be coming over for a visit today.  I won't be doing much housework with him here.  We'll visit and play trains, play cooking, watch a fun movie, snack and enjoy the day together.

Momma came over later and we had a wonderful visit.  Tea Time for sure.

The week ahead we have a few medical appointments scheduled.

A Great Grand baby may come into the world early due to my Granddaughter's placenta having split.  She's hospitalized.  Prayers appreciated.  Granddaughter has the flu though so I see issues with her having a c-section while she has the flu.

Two Grandsons will celebrate birthdays this week.  AND I'll continue to tidy on the house.  AND Hubby is working on the garage doors.  He's building carriage doors.  Should be mighty cute when finished.

May the doors come together quickly.

I made progress on the extra bedding being bagged up in special storage bags, but I still need to store them somewhere convenient.  I'll work this week on it.  The smaller bags fit in the pink room's tiny closet, now to find a good fit for the larger bags.  Maybe in the Utility room.  Maybe? How this turns out is a mystery to me.  I need it to be orderly and tidy.  Not sure how this will manifest.

THE WEEK TO COME.  The fan blades on the Living room ceiling fan and the TV room's fan need a thorough cleaning.  I'll have to bring a ladder into the house so I can reach the little darlin's.  The sooner I can get them cleaned the better.  Gosh, they are filthy.  Always something to do.  Consider this to be early SPRING CLEANING.

My wall shelf arrived and I am so pleased to have it.  Hubby plans to hang it this week.  Hurray and a half.  It will certainly change the way the room looks.  It will hold a framed picture, a framed mirror and some greens to decorate the shelf.  When I come across some bunnies, they will go there as I will use the shelf for seasonal decor.

AS IT IS STILL WINTER, I need to relax about LIFE and free myself up to continue HOME LIVING.

Should we take this with a grain of salt or ON A SERIOUS NOTE...will  a l i e n s  attack the Earth?  A few years ago, I heard that fake  a l i e n  attacks will take place on Earth. Documentation of UFO sightings are to be released for all to read.  Personally, I believe that there are no  a l i e n s, but rather demons impersonating  a l i e n s.  Also fake representation of  a l i e n s  manipulated by elitist.  What is this  P r o j e c t   B l u e  B e a m  about?

I'd heard that  I R A N  will drop an atomic bomb then release a fake a l i e n  attack because the bomb interested them by attacking Earth and melting humans.  Would that be the way millions of humans will be killed to allow the elitist to get their way?   I'm not saying I believe all of this, but I acknowledge that others are talking about this stuff.  I do believe the wickedness of man could orchestrate such a horrific thing.

Has our government been playing games with us using blue  b e a m s  from outer space to cause fires on property they want for smart
c i t i e s ?  Will Gaza become a playground for rich elitist?  Has our government been manipulating our weather to make super storms that destroy more property and kill more people?

Elitist want the Earth to have only 500,000,000 people on the planet.   The GEORGIA GUIDE STONES supported this.  How many people inhabit the Earth now?  Approximately 8.3 billion.

What kind of plandemic will take place to murder millions of people?  Praying for our country.  Praying for our world.  Praying.

Oh my.  I am a bit of a conspiracy theorists or am I?  Keeping it interesting.

KSU GARDENS TULIP SALE

THE DAY WAS SUCCESSFUL as we went shopping for tulip bulbs at the KSU Gardens.  I've been to quite a few Iris Sales, but never tulips so I didn't know what to expect. Arriving right at 1, the parking lot was full of cars where parking was very limited.  We walked to the area where the sale was going on, grabbed some plastic bags to fill and started shopping.

There was no line waiting to get in as the customers were already lined up to check-out.  So many tulip bulbs were still available.

They had tarps on the sidewalk with the tulip bulbs lying on them.  You were free to pick up and buy as many as you wanted.  We had three bags full so we were charged $5 a bag.

The section I shopped was called PRINCE MIX and Hubby shopped BOLD MIX.  Until they bloom next SPRING we won't know for sure what we really have.  I thought you plant the bulbs in the FALL, but the care description sheet said to plant them as soon as possible.  This week to come the tulips will go in the ground.

After bulb shopping, we went for a Chick-fil-A salad.  Sat in the shade and chatted.  Needed to stop at Tractor Supply for grass seed.  I enjoyed looking about and picked up a solar grey farmhouse light that will hang beside the garage door.  Hope it gets hung this week-end.

Went to Dollar General for some cold drinks as I was coughing way too hard.  Staying in the car, I vapor locked.  It wasn't without concern.  I don't know about this.  Back to the doctors if I continued coughing like there is no tomorrow.

A long term respiratory infection is probably what I have.  Since the airways get inflamed, my son suggested taking the anti-inflammatory OTC med Ibuprofen every 4 hours.  I'll give it a whirl.

Off to the main house with yard work to do with the temperatures hitting 90 something.  Way too HOT.  Jumped right into SUMMER.  Lil Miss came over to finish raking the leaves up and bagging them.  She did a super job.  Appreciated her help so much.  Hubby will get up early tomorrow morning to work on planting grass before the heat of the day.  If the weather is going to sky rocket into the 90s, we'll not have much more Spring.  Disappointed and not ready for the dog days of Summer.

ON THE HOME FRONT:  I'm gathering pictures and placing them in the living room to take to the COTTAGE.  Have mercy, we have so many pictures.  After we get settled I will need to thin out the pics and get some of my favorites framed.  Drawers from a chest of drawers and vanity plus a antique vanity chair have been carried downstairs and placed by the French doors so they can be carried to the car to take to the COTTAGE.  A little at a time and we'll get there.  Slowly I go, but am in motion.  This is the stuff I can do.

Took some honey for this cough and it helped for a short time.

I'm beginning to wonder when this cough will stop.

WONDERING.

WONDERING.

WONDERING.

A LITTLE TIME TO MYSELF

HUBBY has gone over to the COTTAGE alone to put the second coat of paint on the bathroom's beaded board walls.  Two coats of primer and the first coat of paint made their way onto the wall and now the second much awaited coat of Cotton Balls colored paint is going on the walls.  He's been chomping at the bit to get this done.  I am encouraged that we are one step closer to installing the brand new toilet.  The wall behind the toilet needed installed, primed and painted first.

We have moved slower on this due to illness.  Staying on track, but slower.  Sunday may be the day for the glorious THRONE to be put into place.  THAT will make our day.  I have to help install the toilet by placing the wax seal on the floor as he holds the toilet in midair.  Won't that be a thrill?  Yep.  I can see it come together.

Making our COTTAGE a HOME is taking time and effort to get there.  Each day I try very hard to take things over and return with a load of objects in the car to auction off.

While he is at the COTTAGE, I have a little time to myself.  Since retirement in December 2019, we have been together daily.  Very little time apart.  I think I will take a long shower, shampoo my hair and trim it attempting to give myself a BUTTERFLY CUT.  Probably air dry.  Another trim.  I think I need the layers.

The KSU GARDENS are having their Tulip Bulb Sale this afternoon.  I hope to attend it and purchase PINK TULIPS, maybe some orange ones and white to plant next AUTUMN.  We have a patch of ground by the garage that will hold the tulips.  The Irises out front of the COTTAGE have Irises that are blooming.  Hubby telephoned me and said that they have bloomed and took some pics.  Says they are beautiful.  This clump of colorful Irises may be moved to over beside the cellar door as I'd like to plant BRIDAL WREATH Irises out front this SUMMER.  May change my mind after I see the pics and go very colorful out front.  My goodness...can I make up my mind?  One nice thing about landscaping is that if we like we can move plants about adding or taking away.  The choice is ours.

Grand-daughter will come over later this afternoon to finish raking the yard.  Hubby plans on planting grass seeds this week-end so the lawn comes back to life.  I will tweak about the house gathering things that can go over to the COTTAGE.  If I can get some more packing done, it will help with the move.  I continue to cough which drains my energy level.  I'm better, but still not quite well.  I'm pushing at being busy with the move.  I have to do what I can do.

I will gather up framed pictures that are upstairs and bring them downstairs to be grouped and taken over to the COTTAGE tomorrow.  The moving about aggravates this asthma to where I have to sit and catch my breath.  I was reading up about the harmful effects from the chemicals which come from the prescribed burning of the Prairie on people.  AIR QUALITY is very bad during the burning.

There are chemicals released into the atmosphere that are not good to breath in.  There is about a two month period of burning and it is advised to not do strenuous activities outside when this smoke is in the air.  Staying inside turning the air conditioner on is advised.  Wear a mask when outside.  Avoid breathing in the smoke as much as possible.  I am in hopes that my lungs will heal with some time and with not breathing smoke.  The burning has stopped and I am slow to recover.  I don't want to go through this again if possible.  It has been detrimental to my health. Hubby seems to have handled this better than me this year.

All smoke contains carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and particulate matter (PM or soot). Smoke can contain many different chemicals, including aldehydes, acid gases, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), benzene, toluene, styrene, metals and dioxins.

I did not watch the Coronation in its entirety, but watched tidbits on youtube.  I did notice that when Prince William was kneeling before his father, the King, that he did not make much eye contact as he said his vows.

Off I go to clean-up and prepare for this much awaited week-end.  TIME does not stop because I need to slow down and rest.  A little time to myself is sweet.  The house is quiet and I can think. Talking out loud to GOD is always welcomed with time to myself.

Blessings always.
HOME LIFE is for me,

MADE THE MOST OUT OF THE DAY

THIS WEEK WILL BE INTERESTING AS I HAVE PHYSICAL THERAPY APPOINTMENTS.  First time evah.

Today, I got up early and went to Manhattan to do a little shopping before my therapy session. The weather is on the cooler side of things, but a nice day.  Went to STARBUCKS for a Bistro Box then parked the car outside DILLARDS at the Mall to dine in the automobile.  I'd like to get a new housecoat and thought DILLARDS would be a great place to start looking.

They had two at about $68.  White Turkish robe.  Tried one on and it wrapped around me just a little too snug.  Welp, onto the next place, but first I wanted to see what was in their Kitchen section.  Fun to just look and get ideas.  It's been so long since I shopped Dillards.  They weren't very busy so social distancing wasn't a problem.

Off to the next stop.  HOBBY LOBBY to get Hubby some art supplies.  They don't have housecoats, but they do have a huge selection of faux flowers and greenery.  50% off LAVENDER came HOME with me to make another wreath.  grins.

Went to WALMART.  Parked the car then changed my mind and  decided not to shop just yet. Better go to Therapy session, because by the time I drive across town it would be time to go to the appointment.  So off we went across town driving through road construction to the therapist. Sat in the car waiting until time.  When I checked in, the receptionist said she had been trying to reach me and couldn't get through to tell me the therapist is sick.  I have another appointment this week anyways so I'll return.

There's something wrong with my landline to not be able to get through.  She tried to leave a message and the phone told her to enter a PIN number.  A PIN number?  It has never done this before that I know of, so we tried calling our landline with a cellphone and got the same message. Not sure what that is all about.

SO I didn't get to see the therapist today.  I told her that I would call a head of time next time to see if the therapist is in.

Off to TARGET.  I love shopping at TARGET.  Looked in their discount bins.  Found a few little items.  No housecoats.  Maybe I ought to just dye my old housecoat and give it another ten years. Shall see.

Before heading out of town, I decided to check out GOODWILL and ROSS also FIVE BELOW. Picked up a cute macrame handbag. THE SAK purse at GOODWILL.  Nothing at ROSS.  FIVE BELOW...2 books.

One book is Grow ALL YOU CAN EAT IN 3 SQUARE FEET and the other, Eat to Beat Illness by Dr. Rupy Aujla.  Purchased these from FIVE BELOW.  They usually have a nice selection of books to choose from.  For some reason I like buying books from time to time.  Since I am in a health mode, these caught my eye.  Great pictures as well.

By this time I was ready to head HOME and call it good.  Tomorrow will be another busy day. PTL.  Drove through the CITY PARK and looked at the gorgeous tulips still displaying their gorgeous colors.  So pretty.

I made a huge salad yesterday and will use it up tonight along with some small pork chops. Maybe some green beans.  Water to drink.

The salad was made up of kale, olives, cherry tomatoes, spinach, carrots, radishes, chickpeas, black beans, sprinkled with Ocean Spray Craveology.  I have to get some more of this stuff.  On the look out for it.  It adds some umph to a common salad.

Yesterday, we ate some ribs that our Son-in-law smoked.  Wonderful flavor.

When we went to TARGET, we bought a new modern scale.  Tried it out and PRAISE GOD, I had lost a couple of pounds since I went to the doctor's appointment.  Yes, it probably is just water, but still I was glad the weight was less than before.  I have a journey ahead of me and it will take some time to get there.

Drinking spring water and unsweetened iced green tea.  Eating smaller portions of meat and beefing up the veggies portions.  I believe I need to eat more fruit than I have been.  This morning for breakfast I had a small Red Delicious apple and water because I knew I would be on the go and could pick up a Bistro Box around 11.

FIG NEWTONS came to mind.  I bought some FIG NEWTON cookies at TARGET.  I felt like I needed the figs to help with health.  Went with a whole grain kind.  Haven't tried these before.  Was really good for an afternoon snack.  Only one cookie.

This evening I will need to rest and get ready for the rest of the week.  SNOW is suppose to blow in this evening.  Whaaaah.  It would be alright with me if this didn't happen.  THE LET IT SNOW signs are all put away and SPRING signs are out.  I think it's alright to let the snow go into hiding until CHRISTMAS.

On the HOME front:  The dining room table is filling up as I clear it off.  Oh my.  Dear Lord, help me get to the bottom of this.  Thank you.  I am making progress, but still not.  How can that be?  I did buy a shoebox to put some figurines in for transporting them and storing them for a difference.  So I will say I made progress.

My pile of papers that need to be gone through and filed has shrunk some.  It's ongoing for sure.

I came across a Kitchen idea for our cottage.  By the time I get to where we will live there, I will have had to downsize like mad.  WORKING ON THIS.  This is a mental workout thinking through what to get rid of.  Where will everything go when I get there?  I just about have it figured out.  I think.  Well maybe.

Gathering ideas for now on creative ways to make the cottage more charming and better.  In my head, I entertain the thought for hours.

JUST GOT A PHONE CALL FROM MY DAUGHTER.  We didn't go to the track meet today, but LIL MISS placed and made her best time ever on a windy day in the one mile.  Hurrah.  Aint that great!

SO very proud of her.

Proud of all my grandchildren, children and their spouses.
Love them all.  Amen.

MEAL IDEAS:

I'd better sign off.  Supper tonight was Spicy Pork Chops,

It made for a filling meal and warmed my belly.

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

Ye must be born again.”

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
