SWEET DREAMS

TIME CHANGE THIS MORNING.  Before I forget I wanted to jot down a dream I woke up having this morning.  Seldom do I remember them.  When I try to recall, they slip away from me as I am doing my best to remember.

I met an elderly woman named Carol a small, petite, grey headed lady.  We talked and then departed.  In the mail came a colored printed piece of paper with a short story she had written.  I was to meet up with her on a certain date to just chit chat.  On the paper were three different phone numbers without a physical address.

I don't know why I didn't get her address from her when we were just visiting.  The day arrived that I was to go to her house in a very small town.  I tried telephoning her to find out her address. Why I didn't do this earlier, escapes me.

Two of my children are home and I explain that I am going to go visit Carol.  I begin getting nervous when I cannot reach her by phone.  I decide I will go to the town where she lives and ask around at the local store where she lives.

My children are old enough to be alone at home by themselves.  My son is creating something in the hallway as my daughter is creating something with glue in the living room.  I tell my daughter to bring her creation to the kitchen table and work there as the glue doesn't need to be on the living room.  She moves to the table.

I continue to get anxious as I do not know where Carol lives.  She doesn't answer her phone.

The doorbell rings and I answer the door seeing my older sister standing there holding a miniature cake.  She is nicely dressed in brightly colored flowing dress as I explain that I was just heading out.  She walks into the house.  I tell her she is welcomed to stay or very slowly I mention she can come with me as I am going to go see if I can find my new friend's house explaining that she isn't answering her phone.

This is where I woke up.
I haven't a clue what any of it means.  Maybe just a way to deal with anxiety about life.

Do you remember your dreams?  Seldom do I.

BLESSINGS to you,
d

DREAM

Seldom do I remember my dreams.  As I wake up, the dream vanishes fading away into the cloud inside my mind.  Gone.  Poof.  This morning was different.  I have some recall.  I caught the dream before it turned into a foggy thought.

We were preparing to open a restaurant near our house, but weren't telling anyone yet of our plans.  I'm outside sweeping a wooden porch.  As I am cleaning a friend that I haven't seen in years from high school shows up and visits me.  Sue's her name.

Our house is small like the one I grew up in.  I continue to clean house as she looks for something to eat.  A cold cheese sandwich with mayo.  Some of my sons' friends come over to play and I cannot keep an eye on them.  They're hungry as well.  By the time supper comes the fridge is mostly empty.

I scolded myself in the dream that I should have told the boys that it was time for them to go HOME as it was supper time.

They are playing in my boys' bedroom.  A small television set is in their room on a cart.  One child was laying inside a Longberger basket that is on the bottom shelf of the tv cart.  He has broken the basket and I am trying to stay calm as this upset me that my Longaberger basket is broken.

Multitasking as I go, I could not get my high school friend to talk.  I ask her how things have been since high school and she is just so quiet.

I woke up from dream.  Must be some anxiety in here somewhere.

Dreaming TOO Much!

Hello from the Kansas Flinthills.
Only have a minute. Quick note.
It's been close to a week since I took the plunge and created a long awaited BLOG.
WOW. Did I really start a blog? I will decide along the way how detailed this will morph into. Should be interesting to me at least.

Word of caution...don't make the mistake of dreaming way too much.

I'm not saying don't dream at all,
but if all you do is dream without following thru with making plans, without applying effort and energy then you might be dreaming way too much. If you're wanting the dreams to come to pass, then you're going to have to do more than just dream about it.

If all we get done is to dream and nothing happens then what? You might be entering into a fantasy world that doesn't become a reality.

Don't forget to pray.

Til next time,
Deanna

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
