This Is The Kind Of FLUFF I Like

Out the window I looked after getting off the bed on a Thursday morning.  It's true, it was snowing.  The weatherman had said we'd get snow after it rained during the night.  The fluffy snowflakes were gently falling to the ground.  These are the kind of snowflakes I've been waiting for.

~THIS IS THE KIND OF FLUFF I LIKE~

Quietly covering everything.  Wanting another snow before SPRING.  We're really not that far into the WINTER,  but I seem to grow weary of the bitter cold.  With the trees bare, grey skies, breathtakingly bitter, I desired another snow for beauty and moisture.

The perfect day to stay indoors sipping hot chocolate and taking down the Living room CHRISTMAS tree.  Late last night I took some of the red ornaments off the tree and marveled at how pretty they are.  Handling with care, I'll need to wrap the glass ones with hopes of keeping them safe.

The flocked tree upstairs will be placed in the screen in porch so I can turn the twinkle lights on during the evenings and enjoy a WINTER WONDERLAND right outside the french doors.  I've never had artificial christmas trees out longer than January, but think this could be fun having twinkle lights during the cold months of KANSAS.

I've enjoyed our large CHRISTMAS tree in the Living room for 5 weeks and have delayed taking it down until after EPIPHANY.  Our first CHRISTMAS in this Prairie house.  I'm moving slow at getting settled in.

TODAY'S THE DAY to work on taking the tree down.  Hesitating because I've enjoyed it so much.  This month will be a great one to make paper snowflakes to dangle in the windows.

I'll have to turn the CHRISTMAS clock sounds off as it plays CHRISTMAS tunes on the hour.  Jingle Bells just chimed.  Not sure I will put it away until SPRING.  The clock has snowmen on the front of it.  Perfect for January as well.  Maybe February.

Hearts are coming out replacing CHRISTMAS.  Red is a beautiful WINTER color.  Brilliantly warming.

Making HOME a priority in this fallen world,

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
