LIMPING, WICKED WEATHER, STORING TOMATOES AND JUST LIFE IN GENERAL

LIMPING ABOUT.  About two weeks ago my hip began to protest that I was placing pressure on it as I stood up from a chair to walk.  After walking a bit the discomfort goes away. Twenty years ago I had the same thing happen and visited a chiropractor.  20 years passed before this has returned.  Back to a Chiropractor?  Had good results, but I experienced severe pain during a treatment and haven't wanted to return. Twenty years later, I am concerned about returning.

Just now, I decided to do the lymph bounce.  That's when standing you bounce on your feet. Tried it and the hip discomfort stopped.  I was dumb founded.  hmmm.  Did this 4 different times throughout the day.  Same results.  Oh boy, I may have found a cure!  Will continue to do this and see if I get ALL BETTER.

I wanted so badly to get my eyes at a better place before starting a round of Chiropractic visits.  I may not get my way.  My hoping and wishing doesn't always get what I want.  I still see what I call starbursts when looking at lights in the dark.  Supposedly my brain will reprogram itself and I won't have an issue with light.  I just wonder if my brain can reprogram this mess.

We were suppose to get wicked storms in last night and some this afternoon as well.  Last night the storms were mild.  Not sure what today will bring, but I have been praying that the storms dissipate.  Please.  We dropped our new car off at the Kids' huge garage to park it in a protective place from hail.  They were gracious to let us do so.  Much to be thankful for.

We slept through the night without battling weather.  It's today that will be the one to hide from.

Morning chores.  The birds are chirping to where I hear them and the sun is shining.  Temps are ideal for walking.  Better go do this.  Laundry is going, cleaning the fridge is taking place, washing dishes and sorting through paperwork.  Checking out the news and getting educated on some history.

Our company left yesterday.  Wonderful to have family here for a few days.  Our Son visited us and we always have very spirited conversations about the State of the Union.  He is very passionate above politics.  Praying for his career and all the details.  He's off on an adventure. Some meals were eaten out on purpose took place while he was here.

Not having to prepare meals and clean up after eating is like a mini-vacay.  I need this time to regain my energy.

THRIFT FIND.  One of the thrift pull overs I gave to my Grandson who now calls the top his dancing shirt.  I'm not sure where he came up with this, but hey if he wants to call this his dancing shirt it's alright with Grandma.

I would like to travel to Oklahoma to visit family members plus see my little Great Grand baby who's still in NICU.  Also I need to make a trip to visit my Mom and Sister in Iowa.  Back to St. Louis as well to specifically visit with a grandson and watch him run in track events to cheer him on.  Between medical appointments, fatigue, house projects and traveling to see family, time passes and it takes funds to make this all happen.  The reality of still being on a budget is ever present.

Pee yoo.  We lit some candles in a couple of rooms to cover up the horrible odor from some food I dumped in the trash.  In a refrigerated jar were some old radishes that had begun to rot.  When released from the jar, the smell erupted into a horrible smell.  Out the trash went, but not before the smell drifted throughout the small COTTAGE.  Almost needed to fumigate.  The candles have burned about an hour where the odor is just now disappearing.  Have mercy, it was a very strong odor.  Pew.  I can see why certain cultures have a separate kitchen detached from the rest of the house.

Cleaning the fridge out for sure.  I'm rearranging the contents for now.  The mason jars work extremely well for holding fruits and vegetables for an extended time.  I had grapes, cherry tomatoes, radishes, lemons, and miniature bell peppers stored in them.  As long as these items were stored, the contents far outlasted any other method of storage I have used.  It has been amazing. 🫙

Today, I dumped the spoiling contents out of these mason jars so I can wash the jars to replace fresh veggies and fruits over the week-end.

I store my tomatoes in the fridge.  The acrylic containers the cherry tomatoes came in posted a DO NOT REFRIGERATE label on the containers.  I've always refrigerated the tomatoes I bring into my home.  Never have I left them out on a shelf.  If I do so, I'll have to make room in the pantry on a shelf.  Humm.  May do that.  No problem with potatoes and onions in there.  They have a special place in the pantry.

HOW TO STORE TOMATOES:
Upside down on the counter or scotch tape on the stem.
Serve at room temperature for best results.

I've never done this.  Come to find out that it is best to allow the tomatoes to be at room temp for best results.  I confess I never knew this as a city dweller.  I was not a country girl, but should have been as I love nature settings.  Okay, should I change my ways?  I will allow the tomatoes to warm up to room temps when cooking with them.  I more than likely will remain storing them in the fridge along with eggs, apples, ketch-up and mustards.

🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅

If I go walking here in a few minutes, I might better go.  I cannot believe how the days pass so quickly that I don't always get my walks in.  I deliberately decided to stay HOME yesterday so I could get caught up on some chores.  The laundry has started to pile up again.  SO if I walk, my energies go into this and the chores go by the wayside.

Here I sit doing paperwork.  Figuring our new BUDGET as I work on the P.I.P.  Profit IMPROVEMENT Program.  This can be simplified and I'm doing just that.

The month of March is upon us.  Tis already the 6th day of March.  SPRING in two weeks!  14 days.  Hello SPRING.  SO here comes the storms.  Before SPRING CLEANING, I hope to make more headway with the internal messes in our small home.  The flowerbeds will need cleaned and the garage overhauled.  Much to do for one elderly person.  The yard needs raked and income taxes worked on.  Hubby is building garage doors.  May he be successful. Me also. Praying.

THOUGHT:  If someone convinces you that their falsehood is truth then you may believe them. You may be deceived and follow them wherever they lead. You might jump through their hoop when you shouldn't have.

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
